Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing a free copy in exchange for an honest review. #TagMe for Murder follows social media influencer and PR pro Coco Cline who wants to enjoy her summer with her boyfriend and friends. However, things take a whole different turn when her annoying neighbour turns up dead and her BFF is high in the suspect list. So she has to work her sleuth skills to clear her friend’s name all while trying to solve the murder case.

The book is actually second in a series. As I’ve never read the first book, it was a bit hard to get into but later on it was easier to immerse myself in the story. I have always love a good whodunit mystery and this book is no exception. Add in some high stakes and influencer things well it got a whole lot more interesting. I really like Coco and love that we get to figure out and solve the murder together with her.

I didn’t know this was a series so I jumped right into this book without knowing the first existed. But I would say I was able to follow the story pretty well. It was my favorite murder mystery but it was a fun book that I was able to read quickly. I would recommend it to people.

Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Sarah E. Burr

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.

I love this series so much! Even though I read them out of order, they were all so good and can definitely be read as stand alones. I hope there's more to come of Coco & co!

In this sequel we are back in Central Shores with CoCo and her friends and another murder that needs to be solved. Can CoCo solve it again and help the police put another murderer behind bars or will she be too late this time?
While this is a quick read it was often very predictable and similar to the first book that it was easy to guess the ending.

3. #TagMe for Murder ~ Trending Topic #2 (by Sarah E. Burr) 4*
This is the first book I have read in the Trending Topic series by Sarah Burr. The characters were well developed and I loved the small-town feel. The murder mystery is handled well and you are left working through the clues until the end.

This is the second book of The Trending Topic series by Sarah E. Burr. Although this is the first book I read by this author I believe this book can be read as a standalone.

The main character in this book is Coco and she is an amateur sleuth. She gets hired by the local police dept as a consultant when her neighbor is murdered.

We go along the journey and watch Coco go to work.

#Tagme for murder by Sarah E. Burr

This is the second book in A Trending Tropic Mystery series, which is a great cosy mystery series.
The plot in this one picks up after the events of the first book where Coco, a social media infulencer, solved her first murder and her life is just getting back to normal when there is another murder in town. Of course Coco can't resist trying to help solve it especially when it looks like her BFF Jasper is the main suspect.

I loved visiting these characters again and the introduction of some new ones. There was a good level of suspense throughout the book and I loved how it all resolved in the end.

This is a good quick read perfect for spring or summer.

A cute lil murder mystery! I didn’t suspect the killer once throughout the entire book. I also didn’t realize this was second in a series when I received it, however I don’t think I needed to read the first to get into this one. The one thing I will say is that there were a lot of mentions of the case from the first book in the second. Overall an enjoyable read!

Thanks NetGalley & the publisher for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

A fun, beachy murder mystery! Perfect for the summer. It did take me a while to get through, but when all was said & done I’m glad I finished it! I grew attached to the characters as the story progressed & really enjoyed the level of suspense throughout the story. I would definitely read more by this author! Thank you to netgalley & the publisher for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

#TagMe for Murder was such a delight to read! It was a nice break from all of the romance novels I have been reading!

This is the second book of The Trending Topic series by Sarah E. Burr. It is the first book that I have read by Sarah - I am always glad to find "new to me authors". I will be checking out more of her work! This book can be read as a stand-alone.

Coco is a quick-witted, clever amateur sleuthing diva. It was so much fun to get to know her! She is a social media influencer who has been hired by the local police department as a PR consultant. When her unpleasant neighbor is murdered, Coco steps up to prove her bestie's innocence.

This book is well written and has a whole group of characters with strong character development. I loved all of the twists and turns. Great clues are sprinkled throughout the book and just when you think you know who did it, a twist is thrown in there. I honestly didn't know who the murderer was until the very end!

There is a lot of sexual harassment, manipulation, extortion and blackmailing in this book- if this bothers you, this book may not be for you.

If you are looking for a quick, enjoyable summer read…check out this book!

Coco and her friends attend the opening of a new wine Bar Vine and have an altercation with Coco's horrible neighbors the Dunmer. The next morning the local PD discovers the body of Larry Dunmer and the weapon used for the murder has the name of Jasper Coco's BFF on it. So Coco must investigate this murder to clear her friend's name.

Great book, story, and concept, however, I predicted who the perp was after the threatening DM the MC received.

This is the second book in a series. Coco has just finished up solving her first case. She is ready for the summer and having a great time with her friends. That is until she receives new neighbors moving in. The neighbors are confrontational and Coco wants to do everything to avoid them at all costs. But soon one of their bodies is found dead on the beach and it seems all evidence is pointing at her friend. Coco decides to investigate with the hope of quickly clearing her friend's name.

The book had a nice pace to it. It read like a cozy mystery that is summer themed. Fun read overall.

The story was cute, but the main character really annoyed me. She was far too entitled and whiny. I love a good cozy mystery, and the plot was fine, but the story seemed to center around her need for fame and attention rather than finding the truth.

Story line was boring. There was several parts where it was hard to keep interested and I ended up not finishing the story. May try the next in the series if there is one

#TagMe for Murder Earns 5/5/ Hashtags … Engaging Entertaining Gem!

Coco’s latest graduate of her Center of Attention Consulting Services is opening a new wine bar to an eager crowd, but Coco and her friend Jasper disappointed to see their newest neighbors of Sunny Shores neighborhood. Larry and Rosalynn Dunmer recently moved and neither wasted any time before starting a barrage of nuisance complaints, spewing rude comments, being way too forward, and making wild accusations. The Dunmers are only renting until Larry’s city audit assignment concludes, but they would have challenged even Mr. Rogers’ neighborly manner. The greeting spirals into chaos with verbal attacks, demeaning retorts, and vicious threats to ruin Coco and Jasper, so who gets the last word? Karma does! Coco, but especially Jasper, still have a lot to explain when the police receive a “1054” … possible dead body!

Sarah E. Burr’s second book in her Trending Topic Mystery is an engaging read with karma serving up just desserts to Larry, neighbor from hell, but Jasper is the prime suspect, of course, due to his argument with the victim, early departure from the party, and a link to the murder weapon. Case closed, right? No. Sarah Burr may use the traditional cozy formula (I enjoy), revealing the crime early and putting the investigation at center stage, but it is a well-written journey with Coco’s realistic snooping, tech-savvy skills, enlistment of close friends and family, and collaboration with law enforcement, exposing a wide range of suspects with perfect rationales for murder. Whew! What a final twist!

Coco is a delightful young woman, smart and clever, a whiz with social media, and one with whom many “millennials” can identify. Her personal life has some interesting dilemmas she tries to handle from Hudson’s popularity as a handsome, television figure often overshadowing her own once popular image and a work-related incident cause lots of discord, yet an interesting wrap up was provided including a few surprising gigs for Coco, Hudson, and Jasper. Burr’s characters are realistically portrayed through their skills and personality, and add well as compadres or confidants. There were several fascinating peripheral events happening to engage the reader, too: Coco’s clientele, local businesses, and several town events. All in all smart writing!
