The perfect summer romance book, I absolutely adored the story, the characters and the chemistry between the two MC’s. If you like contemporary romance then you have to read this.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an early review copy.

Under a Greek Sun by Mandy Baggot

Blurb

Her job as a counsellor has been as taxing as it has been rewarding, and she can’t wait for some downtime on the Greek island of Corfu with best-friend, Gabby. But between Eve’s brother, Ben, unexpectedly joining and Gabby’s job at the animal rescue centre keeping her busy, Eve might have to start mucking in…
When Gianni arrives in the village of Episkepsi, it’s like a model has stepped straight off the pages of Vogue Italia… with an uptight personality to match. He may be super-sexy but there are obvious chips on those broad shoulders.
As Eve and Gianni get to know each other and both start to lean into the Greek customs and avrio mentality, an initial attraction starts to turn into something more. But with so much family drama in both their lives, neither of them were looking for a holiday romance...

My Opinion

Mandy Baggot strikes again with another fabulous Greek summer romance. The descriptions alone are enough to whisk you away for a lovely trip. I read this book over a few sittings but each time I always wanted to read just one more chapter. Mandy Baggot has written a great, uplifting book with some twists. A real joy to read. This would make a great holiday read.

What a gorgeous read -
The kind I hope you also need.
With family drama, secrets and more
Corfu sunshine and great romances to explore!

Gabby is running an animal rescue,
Eve had been looking forward to visiting her, too.
She hadn't anticipated taking her brother Ben
But something is going on for him again!

There are great animal characters and humans, too,
As the Greek sun warms hearts and gives new things to do.
Surprise revelations as their fathers died,
Leave their family aware that they lied.

Seeking the truth, Gianni hopes to discover
Just who is his father, his mother's lover.
Eve is worried about Ben's secrets, too,
And is totally unsure just what to do.

Will romance develop under the Greek sun?
There are puzzles galore and jobs to be done.
Get ready for laughter, tasty treats and more
As Greek customs these once strangers together explore.

A heartwarming read that is delightful and great
To read it yourself I recommend you don't wait!
For my complementary copy, I say a huge thank you,
As I share with you this, my honest review.

Mandy Baggot has created yet another piece of sunshine in a book, she never fails to impress me with how she manages to write a book I adore and characters I want to be friends with every time. Under a Greek Sun takes place in Corfu and Verona, Mandy’s descriptions are so beautiful and evocative of warm beaches, olive groves and Greek sun, it’s like am there myself when I enter these pages, it’s such a beautiful way to escape reality for a few hours.

The characters are such a delight , so lovely and the friendship between characters is just so beautiful. I loved Eve, she’s such a great character (although I would have liked a little more detail on her and her issues) and again I is a fabulous leading man, the chemistry and their relationship is just perfect. Add in it is set in an animal sanctuary and I don’t think I could want anything more from a romantic read, perfect location, great characters with chemistry, a feel good story.

This is a heartwarming and uplifting read from Mandy Baggot, definitely one you need whilst awaiting your own rays of sun.

You had me at coffee! When Gianni, CEO of a coffee company meets Eve, a counsellor while on holiday in Greece, neither are expecting to find love. Gianni is looking for answers and Eve is looking for peace. However, they can't ignore the attraction they feel.

This is just the sort of book to take on your own vacation!

During the winter months it is stories like these that keep me going until I can set foot once again in Greece. This story has the added bonus of a super rich Italian hero. With a stressed heroine and a menagerie of animals to look after, this book doesn't initially have the makings of a romantic idyll. However, like all good stories, romance develops but is it what either of them is looking for? An easy to read story that is engaging and satisfying.

Eve is taking a holiday from her job as a counsellor and visiting her friend Gabby in Greece. She isn't expecting to have to have her troublesome brother Ben tag along.
Eve has her hands full helping Gabby with the animals and cheeky goats. When she meets Gianna neither of them are looking for a holiday romance but that could be what they need or will be too much trouble? I loved escaping into this story and travelling to the stunning Greece with the feel of sun and sand on my toes. The dialogue is beautiful, funny and easy to follow. The characters are lovely and all have there own issues. I love this authors writing and loved Under a Greek Sun.

What a gorgeous book this is! Mandy Baggot once again creates a wonderful story full of Corfiot charm and character that I absolutely loved! Set in Corfu and Verona, the lovely description in this book pours from the pages, taking me to sunny destinations filled with engaging, highly likeable characters that quickly became my friends! Eve and Gabby’s friendship is beautiful, and heartwarming. The hot hero, Gianni had my heart racing, and as the story unfurled, I was completely captivated! I LOVE the gorgeous animal sanctuary, and it made the story even more likeable, if possible., This fabulous feel-good story has everything I want for the perfect escape to Corfu, making me long to go back there! Loved it, and highly recommend.

Another fabulous book by Mandy Baggot.

Taking her brother with her, Eve goes to spend time with her friend Gabby at an animal sanctuary, in Corfu.

Whilst, over in Italy, another story is unfolding, the head of a coffee empire, and also Gianni’s father, passes away, but before breathing his last, he reveals a secret, after hearing which, Gianni also goes to Corfu.

There, he meets Eve, and after a while, they both head back to Italy. After Eve, sees something in Gianni’s room, she leaves and comes back to Corfu.

Eve, then is informed some truths about her late father, which she finds hard to accept.

I highly recommend this book.

Such a delightful story and set of characters. I love all of Mandy Baggot’s books but this one is definitely my favourite. I loved Eve and Gianni, the beautiful setting, the animals, Aleka the blind woman who foresees the future by drawing pictures in the sand, Gabby, Pan, Ben. The chemistry between Eve and Gianni almost jumps off the page and their budding love story is interwoven with family drama and secrets. The story really pulls you in. I would love to see a follow on story about Gabby, Ben and the animal sanctuary. Fabulous book.

Eve has gone on what she believed was a well deserved holiday to Greece to stay with her friend Gabby, dragging her brother with her as she believes he is in trouble again. The holiday turns out to be anything but relaxing as she ends up helping Gabby out with her many jobs.
Gianni who is Italian has just found out that the man he believed to be his dad who has just died wasn't his biological dad after all so has set off to Greece to try and track him down
A fun summer read

• family secrets
• contemporary rom-com
• chick lit
• summer holiday romance

Review: This book is so cute. I love Eve and Gianni so much. They have such great chemistry! I love all the coffee talk in the book (even though I don't drink it). Gianni is the CEO of a coffee company, which is probably a plus for all the coffee lovers out there. He knows good coffee.

I really felt for Gianni as he struggled with his newfound Greek heritage (his biological father is Greek), having thought all his life that he was fully Italian. I could see him trying to hold on to his identity and pride as a full Italian, just like his father Riccardo Riccardo. (Why are his name and surname the same? I don't know. Is this common in Italy? I don't know.)

The characters in the story are so lovable, especially the animals! The author really brought this fictional Corfu to life with the fun, unique and interesting people and many different animals. Pan is such a great character, and I felt for the lessons about love that he learned and passed on to Gianni. I'm glad that everyone eventually had a happy ending. Here's a special shoutout to Savage the Bird! He is such a mood. I find it funny whenever he's mentioned because he sounds so scary. Oddly hilarious.

I recommend this book to people who want a good summer holiday romance read about two people who learn more about themselves in a foreign place.

Thank you, NetGalley, for this book!

Under a Greek Sun is the perfect escapist romance read.

This book was an absolute dream to read. It just took me back to my trip to Greece, making me want to pack my bags and head back there again. Mandy did a great job transporting her readers to Corfu and Verona. I felt like I could feel that warm ocean breeze on my face and smell all that delicious food being cooked. It just helped satisfy that travel itch I've been feeling lately. I loved getting to explore Corfu and Verona with Eve and Gianni. I have also added Verona to the places I must visit list.

I loved the overall story. It was so interesting getting to spend time with Gabby and Pan at the animal sanctuary farm in Corfu. All the quirky animals were delightful and added some fabulous comic relief. Because Eve wasn't spending time in traditional touristy areas, we got to interact with locals in Episkepsi, which was a hoot at times. There was a surprising amount of drama and twists in this book, and I enjoyed all of it. I also loved that all that drama didn't weigh down the overall story. There is plenty of family drama in this, and some of it deals with more challenging issues, such as addictions, gambling, grief, and infidelity. I thought Mandy did a great job addressing these issues and showing readers how complex they can be.

I just adored everything about Eve and Gianni's love story. There is something so wonderful about a vacation love story. Not only are we getting swept away by the beauty of the location, but we also get all those warm fuzzy feelings from the love blooming between the two main characters. Eve and Gianni just click for me. I felt their chemistry leaping from the pages and loved watching them explore Corfu and Verona together.

Under a Greek Sun is a fun and fabulous romance book and a wonderful addition to anyone's book collection.

Thank you, Boldwood Books and Rachel Random Resources, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Under a Greek Sun is my first Mandy Baggot novel and I cannot wait to read more. I have read a few novels of the same genre set on the Greek Island of Corfu, so I love to see each author’s take on this island paradise. The setting alone puts the reader in a nice escape-mode as the backdrop is described nicely and makes you want to take a trip yourself. As for the story, it follows counsellor Eve Collins who takes a trip there with her brother Ben to have fun with her best friend Gabby. While Ben joined unexpectedly, Eve is still determined to enjoy herself. After arriving on the island, they meet Gianni, heir to a coffee empire, who is there to find answers to his past.

In this story, there are two main characters, Eve, and Gianni, with the two main secondary characters, Ben, and Gabby, plus a group of other characters who either are connected to the others or are background ones in each setting. While there is some information about why Eve and Ben need this break away from home, I feel there is still not quite enough given about Eve. She seemed to have a lot more demons that she is dealing with beneath the surface, yet the novel does not quite go there to explore them. As for Gianni, he is going through his own issues, and I love how the story goes through their individual journeys along with the two characters getting to know each other.

On Corfu, they visit the animal sanctuary ran by Gabby. I loved the addition of animals into the story, and it was great to add their personalities. There are great moments involving the animals that provide a nice break from the human-side. For animal lovers, like me, this was a great bonus. With all the subplots in the story, there is a lot going on, but they did not feel like fillers. Each felt like they belonged, however, the story was not long enough to into a lot of detail for each. Overall, this was a great escape read and romance. This was a fun introduction to the author, and I cannot wait to read more.

**I give a special thank you to Netgalley and the publisher, Boldwood Books, for the opportunity to read this entertaining novel. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.**

Eve is going on holiday to Corfu to stay with her friend at an animal sanctuary. She takes her brother with her as he’s been gambling too much. In another story in Italy, Gianni’s father, head of a coffee empire, dies but not before revealing a secret which causes Gianni to travel to Corfu. He just happens to meet Eve, they even go back to Italy together but due to a misunderstanding Eve flies back on her own. Of course he follows her. Eve finds out something about her dead father. Loved Aleka a blind woman who creates pictures on boards which tell fortunes. Loved it

Wow another great book by Mandy Baggot, an author who definitely has a way with words so I could picture the animal sanctuary, hear the music and enjoy the food. Eve was meant to go to Greece to visit her friend Gabby alone but at the last minute decides to take her brother Ben with her. Gianni has lived all his life in Italy but something he learns as his father lies dying sends him off to Greece.

Woven into the story are second chances, misunderstandings and family secrets. Eve has been hurt in the past, which has made her lose confidence and have trust issues. Can she trust Gianni, can she trust that her brother Ben is sorting out his life - so much to enjoy in this book,

Thank you for letting me read this book in advance of release. This was my first book read by the author and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

As the title suggests, set in Greece, it instantly took me to this beautiful country and I felt like I was there with them. The plot, characters and setting were all very relatable and it just kept the pages turning.

A super summer read.
