Thank you NetGalley, Mandy Baggot and Boldwood Books for the ARC of Under a Greek Sun. This is my personal review.
The first thing I can say about reading this book was I felt like I was under the Greek sun as I read. Mandy Baggot can write in such a great way she puts the reader in the location of the story as we read.
The story is packed full of everything that makes me want to keep turning the pages to the end. Romance, family, secrets, food, and the characters that make it all fit together.
This is a perfect beach read to take you away.

What a lovely and delightful book and just what I needed after a few historical fiction reads.

The setting is just perfect and you can imagine yourself there. The characters are wonderful and relatable. There is humour, food, sun, romance. It was a book that wasn't too long but just long enough to get involved and enjoy. It is entertaining and made me smile.

Eve and Gianni both have past problems to get past and just maybe once past them they can come together. You will have to wait and see.

A heartwarming, entertaining and very enjoyable read and I must thank NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Such a perfect romance by Mandy Baggot. This is my first book by her and I completely enjoyed it. This has me held from the beginning.
So many great storylines from Eve, Ben, Gabby and Gianni.
Cute Holiday Romance quick read. Couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend.

I am a huge fan of Mandy Baggots book set in Greece. I think I have almost read them all and I keep being enchanted by them. Mandy’s books set on the sun soaked island of Corfu always give me instant holiday vibes.
And I think that this is how you should read this book. As a quick and easy read by the pool or even at home in the rain to drift of to sunnier destinations. These books aren’t going to win any literary prices, but they are the ideal book to lift any gloomy mood you might be having.
As it should be Under the Greek sun is filled with the kind of tropes that you expect from a romance, holiday novel.
• Miscommunication
• Instant attraction
• Holiday Romance
• Family problems
It has it all… but I don’t care. I gobble it up. If you want to stay in the holiday scenery, well let’s compare this book to drinks. Under the Greek Sun is that way to sweet Strawberry Daiquiri that is served with a parrot on a straw. It’s not a sophisticated glass of wine with 100 different flavors, but it is perfect for what it is supposed to be!
In this book I think I loved the side characters even more then the main couple we follow. I honestly think I could devour a whole book about the Greek Trio that hangs around in the village café and predicts the future! Also Gabby… I need a whole book about her! Please, can the next book set on the lovely island of Corfu be about Gabby!
If you are looking for a fun, sunny romance, then this is the book you should pack in your suitcase this summer!
Thanks to Mandy Baggot, Boldwood Books and Rachel's Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

've reviewed so many Mandy Baggot books over the years that I knew I wanted to review her latest novel, too.

Under a Greek Sun is a novel that had me gripped at the start, and then the pace seemed to lag a little after Eve and her brother Ben's arrival in Greece. their backstory was so interesting and I was fearful of their mother. I agreed that their circumstances were ones where a break would be needed, and the way the Greek holiday was woven in seemed to be in just the right way and at just the right time.

I always love how Mandy Baggot details Greece and everything about it seemed to jump off the page as it always does in her books.

However, I felt the same couldn't be said for the characters. I wanted to know more about Eve's background and studies and felt she had so many demons she had not dealt with.

I did feel for Gianni and his backstory was and situation with his father's death and the coffee company and his inheriting it was dealt with in a wonderfully sensitive way, as were most of the tougher life issues characters have to deal with or have been/are going through.

Italy and Greece are places I have never been to, and I wanted to like the story more, but I couldn't get into it fully.

Thanks to Mandy Baggot, Boldwood Books and Rachel's Random Resources for my eARC in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

3.5 stars.

Eve Collins takes a break from her mundane life can't wait for some downtime on the Greek island of Corfu with her best-friend Gabby. Eve might have to start mucking in…Since eves brother has a gambling problem she decides its best for ben to accompany her on the trip so she can keep a close eye on him. Gabby’s job at the animal rescue centre keeping her busy. Eve now has to face the demons she has been running away from.

Gianni, heir to a coffee empire has his life upended when his dying father makes a shocking confession Gianni arrives in the village of Episkepsi looking for answers from his past. As Eve and Gianni get to know each other their initial attraction starts to turn into something more. But with so much family drama in both their lives, neither of them were looking for a holiday romance.

Eve collins a counselor and a bar owner. She is generous kind-hearted and compassionate. Gianni a coffee connoisseur and a perfect gentleman. he is sophisticated, chivalrous and polite. I liked this book, it transports you to a beautiful island in Greece with amazing food, lots of goats and beautiful scenery. People on this Island were either wise or intuitive, everybody seemed to have their spidy senses tingling either way I loved it. The subplots and side characters weren't just fillers. They each had their own issues and obstacles to over come. Overall this was cute story with exotic locations and characters with a lot of baggage. What I didn't like was the romance in the book. It fell flat and didn't intrest me that much.

The Greek isle of Corfu is a lovely setting for growing love, long held secrets, and delicious food. To Eve, it is a vacation to spirit her brother away from life in England. For Georgio, it is a time to find his biological father. The island is alive with various characters which help them along the way in their journeys.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

If this doesn't make you run to buy a flight to Greece, you are lying! What a great story to put you in a summer mood. I was really intrigued by this story and plot and the cover was too cute! I saw that this author has a handful of other summer/greek stories and I can't wait to pick them up this summer!

Mandy Baggot delivers another flirtatious, sexy romance in a dream destination (or two)! I fell in love reading Gianni and Eve’s story and it was full of so much sexual tension you could cut it with a knife - hello, food based innuendo, is it getting hot in here? As always, Baggot develops a fantastic cast of main and side characters, all grappling with their own issues that make it so much easier to feel a connection with them and adds a lot of depth to the story. This story shows messy lives and love knocking on your door at inconvenient times, offering a sense of realism to the narrative that it’s impossible not to gravitate towards. These characters have history, baggage and a developing self-awareness which makes them so real it’s impossible to believe I couldn’t hop on a plane for Corfu and walk right into Safe Animals Sanctuary to see them all.
It can be a little heavy in places, dealing with grief, identity and addiction but the humour and romance definitely lightens things up and I couldn’t even tell you which was my favourite character because they were all so charming and relatable.

I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

An absolute joy to read! The truth about life is that it happens! This book has all of it - the good, the not so good, and the heartbreaking. Set on a beautifully described Greek Island, with a cast of endearing characters. The story line pulls you in and tucks you in for the ride.

3-3.5*

I really wanted to love this book and I honestly wish I could. Unfortunately, things don't always go the way we want them to.

Under a Greek Sun has everything that usually makes a good book for me, the exotic setting and an interesting story. However, this time it didn't work. The plot was intriguing and the characters backstory made me curious, but the writing style threw me way off the path. I couldn't connect with the main characters the way I should, mostly because I spent a lot of the time trying to work around the way it was written. This book felt largely like a chore to be done and not a reading to be appreciated.
Honestly, I tried my best to enjoy the story despite the issues I had with the style, but it was very difficult. I even had to stop in the middle of my reading and pick up another book, so I could try to relax a little, before coming back to this one. Which is so out of character for me, because normally when I start one book, I rarely mix it with another, I want to finish what I started as soon as possible so I can know what happens in the end.
Sadly, this one was not for me. Even with the nice greek/italian setting, which are 2 of my dream countries, I couldn't really savor the beautiful places because I was stuck with the weirdness of the writing. Normally, I don't have a big issue reading 3rd person, even if I prefer books in 1st pov, but this one was so hard to read. I felt almost miserable to not be able to enjoy a book with such a awesome background and entertaining cast.
It was my first Mandy Baggot book and regrettably I don't think I will try another one so soon. This is not a bad story, but it wasn't my cup of tea at all in the writing style department. I kind of wanted to know more about the other characters and the future of the main couple, yet I'm not sure I will be able to read another book with the same style. Maybe in the future I will make another attempt, although I'm still not really sure about it.

This is the perfect summer read! The characters, who are likable and endearing, work their way through many challenges aspects of life. I truly felt as if I was in Greece, and even briefly Italy, with the characters!

This was another fabulous read from this author and was so much more than just a romantic read as it covered a lot of difficult topics in a very sensitive way

Eve has decided to escape from her daily life and visit her friend on the island of corfu and in doing so unlocks and unpacks many areas of hers and her families life in the hope of finding herself again and also rebuilding bridges with the ones she loves.

I love how this author always make the reader feel like they have just actually arrived on a holiday in Greece with their descriptive writing of the sights sounds and smells and Greece is now on my wish list of holiday destinations

It was great to be transported to warmer climes during cold and dreary March while reading.

Firstly I would like to thank boldwoodbooks and the author Mandy Baggot for access to the under a Greek sun.

The review I am going to make is an honest review regardless of the access I received for this book. It should be noted I was not paid for this review and ensure honesty in all my reviews.

This is a perfect summer read and I wish I’d been abroad by the pool to enjoy this further. I have visited Corfu many times and love the setting of this book.

Eve has a hard job as a counsellor and escapes to Corfu with her firmed gabby. Her brother tags along and you see a relationship with gianni develop with issues.

Also any book involving animals is a big win for me. However I did feel the ending of the boo was rushed.

I am now going to purchase the book to share with friends and I’m excited for future releases from this author.
