Ah the queen of the Greek summer romance is back, and this is another utterly fabulous book, from one of my auto must read authors.

I absolutely adored this book, it has some many great storylines running through it, not just Eve and Gianni's who we see up close, but also Ben, Pan and Gabby. Add in also a mix of animals at the rescue centre and some totally adorable moments and you have a cracking story.

The Corfiot small village setting was just perfect, and I was especially amused by the trio that hang out at one of the local tavernas, including Aleka who is convinced she can predict things, and the gentleman who can only seemingly speak one phrase of English, and it's certainly one I've heard in various countries before, normally at market stalls.

Gianni and Eve both have to come to terms with things in their families, as life as they know it gets shaken up considerably. And Eve's brother Ben who has been brought to Corfu with Eve, so she can keep an eye on him, really seems to come into his own at the animal sanctuary.

With excellent coffee, a real coffee connoisseur, delicious Greek food, and a story that spans three countries, this really is a feast for all the senses.

Especially sight, given how fit Gianni is! Both Gianni and Eve need to leave past hurts behind and try to trust in this fledgling connection between them.

A complete joy to read, I had a ball reading this book.

Another fun read from Mandy. However I did find this book a little bit slow at times. Don't didn't flow quite as nicely as other books by Mandy.

In this book we meet Eve who has a very taxing job ad a counsellor who cannot wait for the summer to come and to escape to the wonderful Greek island of Corfu with her best friend Gabby.

However things get thrown a little off kilter when Ben Evie's brother decides to tag along and Gabby's job at a animal rescue sanctuary keeping her busy things are looking a little bit different then originally planned.

It is on the little island that they meet Gianni who is uptight, has a chip on his shoulders but is also attractive. Eve and Gianni click and soon want to start getting to know each other better. However life and family drama likes to get in the way. But we all know how this one's going to end don't we.

I loved it!
A great summer read, the air was hot, humid and tangy with oregano and grilled meat.
Eve and her brother Ben were still grieving the loss of their Dad, both barely keeping their heads above water. Eve takes them both to stay with her friend Gabby at an animal sanctuary she runs in Corfu. The sun and friendship does wonders for them both. Whilst working alongside Gabby Eve meets Gianni, a wealthy heir to a coffee empire. Gianni is in Corfu on his own mission to seek answers from his past and him and Eve spectacularly cross past each other and into each other’s lives.

This is a perfect summer beach read or even better on a wet cold spring day like I read it. Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

Fantastic new novel from Mandy Baggott with an absolutely beautiful cover. This is a novel about relationships- not just romantic but family, friendship and community.
I loved Gianni and Eve’s relationship- they were so hot together but with a real sense of promise but I also loved Pan and Ben too. Chuck in some great animals, an abandoned baby, new business ideas and a fortune teller and you have the perfect feel good summer read.

A lovely love story set in Greece with a bit of Italy and England thrown in. I loved the Greek animal shelter. The animals were characters. I loved the blind lady who could tell fortunes. There were lots of trust issues and parents messing up but it was a good story and a neat ending. I really enjoyed it

Mandy Baggot is truly a great romance author, and in general a wonderful character creator.
This new novel is another delight set on the Greek island of Corfu.

Eve needs to escape from her daily life. Gianni abandons his life to discover his previously unknown roots. They are both so cute, especially when they try to ignore reality and live in their own bubble.

Eve has so many internal and external conflicts (her grief over her father's death, her anger at her mother, and her concern for her brother) that she's really a great character.

The secondary characters are really good, I liked the parallel between Eve and Gianni's story and Pan and Valentina's. The animals are also very present secondary characters in the story and bring most of the comical aspects to a story that otherwise refers to quite serious topics (addictions, grief, adultery, ...).

When I first saw the cover for this on NetGalley I have to admit, I wasn't sure wither or not to click into request or not. Then it came down via Rachel's Random Resources and I couldn't resist any longer. I have three favourite book settings: France, Italy and anywhere Greek so really this was one I absoutely had to read. Even more as this is the first book that Mandy's writing for Boldwood Books - congratulations on signing for what is fast becoming the publishing house to be with. Now back to the book and that gorgeous cover. I'm loving these new artist type covers that Boldwood seems to be doing and it really did sell this book to me.

This tells the story of Eve, a girl who is not only a college counselor but is also a barmaid, who is holding onto the memory of her late father. She's also holding onto a grudge that her mother had an affair whilst her dad was dying with cancer. This story takes places in England before moving to the beautiful Greek island of Corfu. With her younger brother, Ben, in tow her well looked forward break in Corfu with her best friend is everything opposite to what her friend says it would be.

That includes constantly bumping into Gianni, a man who has just learnt that his father isn't his father as the man lay dying. Now in Corfu to find out the answers. Can despite of all the family drama, including Eve refusual to call her mam that title, could Gianni and Eve find their happily ever after? After all they are on one of Greece's most romantic islands.

This is a long book, over 70+ chapters but a prefect start for Mandy being a Boldwood Books author.

The beginning of this book was grey and bleak...and then they get to Greece and its like an explosion of colour.

I loved Eve and Gianni - both characters are cute and fun, flawerld but not without redemption. The side characters were well fleshed out and not just token pieces.

This book made me want to visit Greece and then hop to Italy, and it made me feel like I was there just through the pages.

Read it and thank me later!

this book gave me the feels. i was drawn by the title of the book and then i was sucked in completely. really liked this and want to find more of her books.

I am addicted to Mandy Baggot's books, always a wonderful dose of Corfu sun every time and just the kind of plot you can get lost in for a few hours. Packed with Greek humour, food, community, goats and a perfect romance, Under A Greek Sun delivers everything you'd want in summery fiction and was my perfect drizzly March antidote

I enjoyed this but felt tha pacing was a tad slow at times and that it was overlong in places. I also felt that after the torturous journey the hero and heroine had been on, that the ending was rather rushed and short. I wanted more.

I liked the story of Gianni and his search for his biological father. I felt the author really conveyed the mixed emotions that someone would experience in that situation, with real skill and sensitivity. The author’s knowledge of all things Greek and Corfu particularly, added much depth and pleasure to the read.

I like the brother Ben and Eve’s friend Gabby but they were really not given much page time and we never saw their relationship begin and develop.

I think the author did an amazing job in creating such a complex character as Eve but I felt there was a weakness in the plot. Eve had managed to cut out all her own doubts about her father, blame her mother for everything and resolutely turn her face away from the truth. Anyone undergoing training to be a counsellor is required to undergo different forms of therapeutic practice themselves so it did not make sense to me that Eve had managed to escape from discovering and analysing her own wounds in that process. For the sake of the story, I suspended disbelief, but made accepting Eve’s problems a little harder to do. It’s still a great read.!

After returning from a week skiing followed by a cold snowy snap in the UK, what better way to warm up than with Mandy Baggot’s latest novel, Under a Greek Sun. Once again we’re transported to the beautiful island of Corfu where Eve and her brother Ben are visiting her best friend Gabby. Also the island is gorgeous Italian Gianni. Both he and Eve have plenty of family dramas to deal with but find they are growing close to each other. Will their families get in the way or will they have the perfect holiday romance? I really enjoyed this book. It was well written with some great characters and the plot flowed smoothly. I would rate it 4.5 stars.
