I really loved this book! I found myself identifying with the main character. The author did a lovely job creating characters that were wonderfully animated and detailed and I enjoyed how there were several small plots that were actually connected to one another. I think many of us could identify with the main theme. Excellent read. Props to a first book! I look forward to reading more from this author.

I picked this book because the name and cover are so appealing. Then I read the description… This was such a cute book with a well paced plot and strong characters. I really enjoyed it.

This was cute - I don't know that this will stay with me very long, but I did enjoy it and it would be perfect to enjoy on the beach with a cocktail in hand.

The premise of Royal Coconut Beach Lunch Club has all of my favorite tropes — high society secrets, a glamorous setting, and lots of mystery. However, the resulting book was not a fit for me at all. To be honest, I struggled to get past the first few pages. The writing felt choppy and like it was intentionally going for shock value to hook the reader. And if that's the case, fine, but it needs to be done well. And this ... was not that. I'm so disappointed that this is a DNF for me, but hopefully it will connect with other readers.

Julia Wild leaves the cut-throat world of law firm politics for the cut-throat world of non-profits when she accepts the position of Fundraising Coordinator for the Addison Performing Arts Center in Royal Coconut Beach, (think Palm Beach) Florida. She enters the world of exclusive clubs, personal shoppers, decorators, party planners and all the other trappings of the Royal Coconut Beach Season. As she becomes successful in the job, she’s also aware of possible jealousy and sabotage directed at her by one of her staff. While she tries to untangle that, her husband Mark, a law partner at a large firm, is working overtime on a merger and is overly interested in a young female lawyer. Julia reacts to the growing distance between them by acting on her attraction to a Latin American diplomat. Through it all, The Royal Coconut Beach Lunch Club keeps her steady with friendship and Prosecco.

Royal Coconut Beach Lunch Club is pure guilty pleasure! Glamour, wealth, beautiful houses, luxurious yachts… this novel has it all. Settle in to a comfortable chair with a cup of tea (or maybe lift a glass of Prosecco!) and let Diane Bergner take you into a dream world! 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Meryl Moss Media Group and Diane Bergner for this ARC.
