I adored the previous book by this author. I couldn’t wait for this one. I can safely say that this one has not disappointed. It’s been every bit as gripping and addictive as I hoped.

This is a heartstopping, jaw dropping, head spinning masterpiece that will literally keep you captive until the very last page. I was pulled in quickly and devoured this book in just one sitting.

I had no idea who to trust throughout this book. It was one where my opinions changed numerous times and was completely unpredictable.

I was pulled in by this one from the very beginning. I became caught up and addicted. This is unpredictable and Farrell has included so many twists and turns you can’t help but be caught up.

This was perfectly paced and I loved it. The characters are questionable. Farrell has transported me with the writing of this one. There is nothing negative I can say about this one.

This is a book I will definitely be recommending.

What a read! I was drawn in straight away and couldn’t put this down. Lots of suspense, twists and turns, surprises and tension run through this story about Tracy who suddenly announces she wants a divorce from her husband Malcom and who wants to start a new life with her son. Lots of action and a great ending!

This is a really fast paced mystery filled with twist after twist and it’s guaranteed to shock you.

Tracy has just told her husband, Malcolm, she wants a divorce. Later that day, Tracy goes missing and Malcolm is immediately suspect number one. At the same time, a young woman called Kat is murdered and the two cases connect and there’s so many twists and turns I couldn’t put this down!

There were a few different perspectives to follow which I struggled to keep up with at first but then I got used to it and really got into the story. The plot is very cleverly written and everything connects somehow. Everything is explained in the end and the ending was really shocking for me. I really enjoyed this!
Thank you so much to Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Holy moly, this was a twisty roller-coaster ride! Tracy is leading the perfect life with her handsome husband and adorable boy. One morning she announces she wants a divorce and then leaves then house and disappears. Turns out she is the subject of a vehicular attack. That same day, her husband's mistress is murdered. It looks like he is responsible for what happened to both women, but is it that simple? Tracy has secrets too, and perhaps her present predicament has ties to something/someone else. Other suspicious characters are sprinkled throughout the story and I changed my mind so many times about what was going on!

This was my first time reading a book by Matthew Farrell, but I hope it won't be my last. The Woman at Number 6 was such an enjoyable read; so fast paced and full of unexpected twists. I love the author's writing style, the characters, and the shocking ending!

Although I liked this book I felt like it started out a little slow but it did pick up towards the middle and had a really good twist at the end..

Another winning domestic noir thriller from Matthew Farrell who is really becoming a do not miss author. Tracy and Malcolm are happily Mattie’s with a young son, Finn, and Tracey has been gotten over a health scare and sees a therapist to move forward. This is where the book starts and picks up speed towards the explosive ending with a bunch of interesting characters you are not sure if you can trust and so many twists that really work. Great.

I really enjoyed The Woman at Number 6. The suspense was incredible and kept me turning the page. I will admit, I figured out the doctor's obsession quite early, but I didn't expect the results of his obsession to be so crazy creepy. I found myself feeling rage and frustration in parts of this book, not because of the writing, but due to the things the characters went through. In my opinion, when a book causes real emotions, it's a sign of a well written story that engages the reader in a real way. I definitely found myself deeply invested and feeling a range of emotions for the characters. The Woman at Number 6 hit all the marks of great storytelling that makes you dip out of reality for a little while as you sink into the story.

I recommend this book, and will tell my friends and family to dive into it as soon as possible. Readers will not be disappointed.

**I am very grateful for the eARC. This was my honest review of The Woman at Number 6.

Manhattan

Tracy Cowan, 39, has just dodged a huge health scare and is OK now. This upset her so much that for the last year she has been seeing Dr. Devi, a psychiatrist, who has helped her.

This morning Tracy has informed her husband, Malcolm, that she is divorcing him and they will discuss it further this evening. They share a young son, Finn, who is staying with Tracy’s sister, Missy, for the day. Tracy has followed Malcolm and knows that he has been seeing another woman.

After leaving Dr. Devi’s office, Tracy notices that she is being followed and tries to lose this person. When she stops for a nostalgic moment at the water’s edge where her marriage was held, the car that had been following her keeps smashing into the back of her car until it pushes it over the edge into the water. Tracy manages to get out of the car and runs. But it’s dark and she can’t see where she’s going. Then, she feels pain on the back of her head and she’s unconscious.

This is one of the best thrillers I have ever read. The reader doesn’t know who is guilty and who isn’t. Kept me on the edge of my seat. Whew! What a ride!

Wow this was twisty. We knew this was a domestic issue from the prologue. I always like when we start with an informative chapter/prologue but don’t know the specifics. Every time I thought I had things figured out, there was another twist. After the setup, this was a fast based book with multiple crimes. This falls into what I consider a new thriller subgenre of the popcorn thriller. I mean no disrespect by this, but it moves along at a quick pace and continues to pick up speed, has twists and turns that you won’t see coming, keeps you on your toes and ends with a bang. And the most important thing I think of the genre is you can see it playing out in your head like a movie. There are fairly short chapters that keep you engaged.

Everyone has a secret or two that leads to them being a potential suspect. Not knowing who was reliable kept me wanting more. I’m always a little worried about spilling too much and spoiling the book, so you’ll just have to trust me that could play out as a movie or crime show. A little bit of a mesh up of tropes kept me wanting to know what really happened.

Malcolm is having an affair, and his wife has found out. but on the day his wife goes missing his lover is murdered. What is really going on?

This was a fast-paced thriller that kept me guessing and intrigued until the very end.
This novel is told over twenty days and swaps from the past to the present giving us a rounded narrative. I am not sure if I liked the characters and I was never sure who to trust but this left me with many questioning what would happen next and kept me on my toes throughout.

What a rollercoaster of a story!

Out of the blue, Tracy tells her husband, Malcolm that she wants a divorce and then attends her final counselling session before heading off with her young Son to start a new life. On her way home, Tracy realises she is being followed and is abducted. On the same day, another woman is found dead.

One woman missing, one woman dead and a whole load of twists coming your way.

Just as you think you know what’s going on, another unexpected twist throws everything out and as for the ending - WOW!
