Never before have I been so gifted by a book. A full short story collection of some of the most cursed stuff I have read? Sign me up! Anything you could ever want from a dinosaur romance and then more. I was both horrified and amused the whole time. 10 out of 10 would read again.
Lola Faust, I am obsessed with your mind.
Thanks to the author and publisher for providing a free ARC copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

"Could she die, she wanted to know, from too much pleasure? She hadn’t believed it was possible."

This would have to be the most ridiculously hilarious book I have ever been asked to read. Wet Hot Allosaurus Summer was actually a small series of reads including the title read and Lord Bartholomew's Ankylosaur Love By Ambrosia Penance.

In WHAS we meet the girl who is beautiful, but doesn't know she's beautiful - Tanis. She has always worked hard on her fathers farm, but has always dreamed of seeing the dinosaurs. Now they have been reanimated from DNA found in a rock and equipped with telepathic sensors to communicate. By chance, Big Al comes through and decides Tanis is his mate - sweeping her off into the sunset. After a stretch of lovemaking, he eats her arm and takes her to a dinosaur/human love commune-like place, only to run off with another big breasted lass the second they get there.

Pretty douchey if you ask me.

After Lord Bartholomew's tiny story that ends in a fade to black, we then get some sexcepts from other books, some special dino relationship tips and a bunch of other things to prepare you. You know, just in case you ever come across your dinosaur mate in the real world.

Get yourself a man that will eat the amputated remains of your arm that was mostly shot off by your father... I guess?

Look, I went into this knowing it was going to be 99 levels of crazy, and it was. It really, really was.

I don't think I have ever been so thoroughly horrified and entertained in my life. I don't regret reading this, though I am definitely not going to feel weird or guilty about anything else I read for this year because this is...

It's a book.

About dinosaurs. And having sex... with dinosaurs.

I don't even know where to start in terms of a rating...

This book was… interesting, to say the least. I knew it would be crazy when I went into it, so I wasn’t surprised by the dinosaur sex. Some of the other things were surprising, though. Overall, it’s a story about a country girl who meets a man that shows her she is beautiful and can be anything she wants. The two go through struggles because people don’t think they should be together, just like many great love stories. The love scenes go into a lot of detail, and some parts made me laugh out loud. But honestly the voice it was written in was funny and entertaining, so it got an extra star for that. Is it a highbrow piece of literature? No. But will you be entertained while you read it? Almost definitely.

This was a quick read that was well written and absolutely bonkers in the best way possible. The storyline was unique and the commentary quite interesting.

This was an ok read. A lot of dinosaur/human sex, also f/f, but the scenes were kind of vague and very quick, and the language was rather embarrasingly childish when describing it. If you write smut, then own the language. Love cylinders just won’t do. Also, I thought this was supposed to be a collection of short stories, but there was only one.

Definitely a thing that now exists. This is hilarious and the only kind of erotica I read, just the fun ones that aren't even remotely possible to happen in real life.

What started off as the torrid affair of a wistful Albertan farm girl and a hard on his luck allosaurus, ended as a touching ode to American industry and interspecies romance. Well done (unlike Big Al's meat)

What ride. I did not realize this was a collection of short stories. I enjoyed the great amount of detail put into the description of each dinosaur.

The stegosaurus is my favorite because he has two…..members. And he understands love. Win win amiright?

The first story pissed me off- how dare he boink her, eat her arm, and then run off with another woman?!

Fun reads. I’ll keep reading them.
