I need to get more towards the plant based way of life, and this book looks like it may just be the ideal way to do that. Can’t wait to grab my own copy.

The Plant Love Kitchen is focused on adding more plants to your diet. I appreciate that the intro encourages readers to add more produce with suggesting that they need to be fully plant based to see the effects. The recipes included in the sample are very approachable and contain ingredients you might already have on hand. I’ll definitely be looking into the full version of this cookbook once it’s published.

Note from small sample sent by publisher: looks to be beautifully formatted and with some interesting recipes.

I tried the blueberry buttermilk oat muffins, strawberry arugula and pistachio salad, tomato & olive frittata and the crispy okra. I loved all of these recipes!! I can’t wait for the book to be published and will definitely buy this recipe book! Thank you NetGalley and Marisa Moore for the ARC!!

This was a sample of the book, and I liked what I saw! The pictures were lovely, and I like the vibe of the book, which is more of a "Start small, start somewhere" as opposed to a rigid plant based diet. In the sample there was a pesto recipe that looks nice, I'm definitely going to read the whole book when it comes out!

Thank you Netgalley and National Geographic for the ARC peek!

This review is for a sample of The Plant Love Kitchen by Marisa Moore.

There are some problems with the formatting of the ARC- pages are sideways, and text is blurry even after zooming in.

While this was only a sample, I’m encouraged by the author writing this book to be a low barrier to plant-based-eating entry. Her attitude of “just start small! Start somewhere!” makes me *want* to try her recipes so I can add more plants to my diet.

I’m excited to read the full cookbook when it comes out! Thanks to NetGalley & Marisa Moore for this advanced reader copy.

The digital ARC was practically unreadable. The pages were sideways and blurry. The pictures did look nice and the book description was well written though.

*This review is only for a SAMPLE of the full recipe book.*

With the "sample" I was provided, I was able to see a few recipes. The few recipes I saw were enough to excite and motivate me to lead a more plant-based diet. I've been considering for a while to lower my family's consumption of meat and I feel like this would be the perfect book to help me get started. The strawberry, arugula, and pistachio salad is definitely going to be made soon. I'm excited to grab the full book once it has been published!

Thank you to NetGalley and National Geographic Books for allowing me to be an early reader of a sample. All opinions are my own.

Beautiful and vibrant cover — The Plant Love Kitchen looks fabulous. I’m a vegetarian and from this sample I’m inspired to make the pesto pronto! And will also definitely be making the strawberry arugula salad this summer. This sweet sample was super quick but tantalizing. Adding to my book list.

OOOOH, the lure of a book sample and not the whole thing. The recipes that I saw in this book are yummy and very adaptable if you have omnivores in your household as you can easily add dairy cheese and animal products into them. I love anything with miso in it or on it and those potatoes are calling my name...especially as hubby will not eat them.

This is a fabulous book that I will be buying for our library as we cannot keep plant-based cookbooks on our shelves at all...cannot wait to read the whole thing.

This looks like an interesting book!

It's hard to glean from just the sample, but this book seems like a good book for vegans and others looking to put more plant-based foods in your diet.

I’ve been working hard to eat more of a plant based diet for about a year now (not entirely plant based but working to add more plants!) so when I saw the SAMPLE available for the Plant Love Kitchen I was excited and knew I needed to check it out!!

Clear directions that are easy to follow, with enticing pictures, and yummy sounding combos had me salivating even though the sampler only included a forward from the author and 5 recipes. I noted I had everything for the kale-walnut pesto and whipped it up immediately. It’s YUMMY and I think will be even tastier after the ingredients have a chance to sit together longer / overnight in the fridge. Based on the sampler it’s sure to be a yummy cookbook and I think a great intro to more plant based eating from a nutritionalist health focused lens (not just a chef)!

Thanks NetGalley and Marisa Moore for the ARC sneak peek sampler for me to take a look at. All thoughts are my own!

For what was given to review, not the entire book (only 15 pages), I was pleasantly pleased.
For cookbooks, I am a visual person, I need to see the what cooking and finished products. The photography in the book was beautiful, mouthwatering. It made me want to go out and try some of the recipes.
I did wonder about the title - “Plant Love Kitchen”. Yes, the recipe that I saw had no meat, but she did have a frittata recipe with eggs and milk. I know it’s not represented to be a vegan cookbook, but maybe a different title- “Plant-Forward”
Also, support/ celebrate African American authors.
I would definitely recommend the book.

OK, after reading that little sample, I am hungry for me... both literally and metaphorically.
I am so thankful to have gotten a glimpse of this sampler cookbook, but like seriously, now I need it to be April 11, 2023, so I can get the finished copy.
