I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version.
A cute rom com. Very light hearted and easy to listen to and read. The characters were enjoyable. I was not really a fan of the narrator. But maybe would be best to read the book instead of listen to.

This was such a cute story with a farm setting, that left me with all the heartwarming feelings. I thought that Ellie was a relatable character, and enjoyed seeing the friendship grow between Ellie and Marilyn.

My second read by Stephanie Eddings and it was such a joy! Not exactly a romance novel, but a story that imparts subtle advice and stays imprinted on one's mind.

The simple village like setting was refreshing and charming to the senses with the focus always on the ensemble cast. Yup, the characters are truly brilliant and will have you smiling all the time! Now don't get me wrong, the plot isn't all that light and worthless, instead quite deep and capable of making the reader truly feel.

Ellie is a lovable character, seemingly characterless and timid, but able to do so much for her loved ones. Her friendship with Marilyn was unexpected and unconventional for sure, adding chunks of enjoyment and laughter to the story.

Definitely grab this book for an easy read which doubles as food for thought.

"Said No One Ever" by Stephanie Eding falls short of expectations, offering a forgettable reading experience that struggles to leave a lasting impression.

One of the novel's primary issues is its lackluster plot. The story meanders aimlessly, with no clear direction or purpose. It fails to engage readers with a compelling narrative or intriguing conflicts. As a result, the book feels like a collection of loosely connected events rather than a cohesive story.

The characters, unfortunately, do not fare much better. They lack depth and complexity, making it difficult to empathize with or invest in their journeys. Their interactions often feel forced and unnatural, further hindering the overall reading experience.

The writing style in "Said No One Ever" does little to elevate the material. It lacks the spark and creativity needed to breathe life into the story. The dialogue is uninspiring, failing to capture the nuances of genuine human interaction.

Additionally, the pacing is uneven, with long stretches of tedium followed by rushed, unsatisfying resolutions. It becomes a challenge to maintain interest in the story as it drags on without meaningful developments.

I loved this book.

I loved how involved Ellie became in the owner's life. I don't think I could resist either if I were in Ellie's position, no matter if it were out of my comfort zone or not.

I loved the craziness of the story.

Ellie Reed’s life is mayhem. Her self-esteem is shot, she’s newly single, jobless and her families criticism and nagging have controlled her life for years. Until she decides to rent an Airbnb in Montana to take a break, until she’s dragged into the drama of the family that overs the farm. Now Ellie is suddenly caught between two men, a kooky elderly woman, farm animals and betrayal but this might be exactly what Ellie needs to change her life and stand up to her family.

If you like first person POV, small town, farm, grumpy x quirky, closed-door (just kissing), with a little of the found family trope, HEA romantic comedy, Said No One Ever is perfect for you.

This is such a feel-good easy read. Ellie hates her life and this ‘vacation’ turn farm job really changed Ellie for the better. She gained friendships, took risks and found someone that truly understands who she is. While the romance was a major aspect of the book, it did focus more on Ellie’s growth. Ellie is able to take the time to sit with herself and learns a lot about what she likes and what she wants out of life. Plus Marilyn, the feisty elders woman who owns the farm, adds such a great comedic element to the book.

I received the audiobook version of the book and really enjoyed Stephanie Richardsons narration. She has a great voice and made this book a very enjoyable read.

Thank you NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced audio copy for an honest review.

First i found the cover and synopsis to be extremely appealing that's why I requested for it, but its not what i excepted it to be

Thanks NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for this Audiobook.

I wouldn't call this a romance novel, as its very light and the romance aspect didnt kick in till after 60-70%. After waiting all this time, the chemistry was mehhh and it wasn't my cup of tea.

But i must say the book had a cute premise and there were parts of the story that were charming and funny but most part were just dragging and pretty annoying.
It fell quite short.

If you love women's fiction, you might like this. It just wasn't for me, it might be for you.

Classic romance story. You break off a relationship 6 years into it, to find out you’re then losing your job,so why not flee across the country to avoid it all?!

Find a sweet old woman who owns a farm and figure out how to fall for not one, but two farmhands. One of course is the old woman’s grandson, so don’t forget to throw that into the mix.

The old woman falls and must be put into a rehab facility before you arrive which leaves you to fend for yourself in an area that you have zero expertise. The grandson was unaware of his grandmothers tech savvy-ness to Airbnb her home for some company so your existence in his personal space really puts a wedge in things right off the bat.

Throw in some curveballs and a little romance and voila! Here you have Said No One Ever.

I listened to this audiobook and I’m glad I did. It was an easy listen. I liked the characters. They were surface level but that’s all you need for this type of book. The plot is a basic romance with its own twist. The pace was a little slow. Because of the familiar plot I did think it was dragged out. I enjoyed it and would suggest for a weekend getaway or beach read!

I’d really enjoy seeing this book in bookstores and reading more by this author!

Fun and cute romance that takes place in a quaint Montana setting.
Ellie has set off to work in solitude away from her meddling family. She’s caught between her landlady and two handsome men, trying to do what’s right while still finding her place and her happiness. Will she find herself? Her Prince Charming? Both?
I enjoyed this book. Thank you to NetGalley for this advanced audio Copy!

This was such a sweet small town romance! We have our Ellie who is taking a break from her life, and booked a trip to an air b&b at a farm! She plans on finishing up her work from there and looking for a new job as she just relaxes and gets away from her family who have different ideas for her like! But when she first gets there she is thrown into a surprise when the owner of the air B&B has an accident and she is Thrown into farm life! That’s when the owners grandson shows up, and he is grumpy and suspicious of this women staying in (his tiny house) and taking care of his grandmother farm who is favouring this women over him more than he would like. Ellie and his grandmother form a strong bond and she gets Ellie to help out on an adventure to find someone from her past but she wants her to keep it a secret form her grandson. As these two work on the farm they start to feel feelings that aren’t what they where expecting and why this did have romance in it I felt like it was more a story of Ellie and her finding her self and taking charge of her own life and doing what she wanted for her self instead of what her family wanted of her! I listened to the audiobook of this and really enjoyed the narrator! I definitely Recommend this one!

I thought this was a cute read. Marilyn was my favorite, everyone should be like her when they grow up! Good pacing and I enjoyed the romance. The narrator was good as well.

I started the Earc and couldn't get invested, so I thought maybe the audiobook would make it better. It was slightly more enjoyable. But mainly it helped me finish the book quicker and move onto the next book.

I listened to this one on audio and thought it was really cute. I enjoyed the narrator.
The shenanigans Marilyn and her best friend get up to, and how Ellie gets dragged into things had me laughing out loud many times.

I love that Ellie has the courage to blow up her life. She breaks up with her boyfriend, her job is phasing her out, her family makes her miserable, so she just up and decides to vacation in Montana. She picks an Airbnb in the middle of nowhere with hopes to escape it all. What she finds there is a whole other set of family drama.

She forges some fast friendships with Marilyn, the house’s owner, and her farm animals. She’ll suddenly do anything for her.

I was lucky enough to get an ALC of this book from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media.

Ellie Reed just wants to get away from her family. Their constant criticism and attempts to control her life (live in grandma's help and help with renovations, be a nanny to her sister's children, come home etc.) have destroyed her self-esteem. While waiting for her job to end, she is on a vacation in Montana living in a tiny house on a farm that she found on Airbnb. When she arrives, her landlady, Marilyn, is taken away in an ambulance and there is no one else there to care for the animals. The next thing she knows is that she is looking after the animals (staying for free now), and dealing with Marilyn's family. Before long, the handsome neighbour is making overtures and she is best friends with spunky 80 something Marilyn, who wants to stay on her farm despite her daughters' ideas and maybe playing matchmaker as well.

This was a fun story. Watching Ellie trying to take care of the various animals was a hoot, as well as hearing all their names and why Marilyn called them what she had. Marilyn, a feisty 82 year old grandma who loved her farm and wanted to stay no matter what, is my kind of lady. She knew her mind and spoke it. I loved the way she would ignore her grandson's calls and make him communicate through Ellie, matchmaking from the start. Warren was not a very likable character at the beginning, but he grew on Ellie as well as me. Not all the characters were nice. There is the neighbour who will do whatever it takes to buy the farm and Warren's mother and aunt, who think they know what their mother needs without listening to her. This is a story with romance, family, personal growth, treatment of elders, greed and power, all wrapped up in a humorous story that I highly recommend. The narration by Stephanie Richardson was well done. She has a pleasant voice, gave the characters their own voices and added just the right amount of emotion and expression. I enjoyed listening to this story.
