This book is so sweet! I thought it would be a typical romantic comedy, but there was so much more. Ellie grows so much as a character, and I loved the relationship between Marilyn and Ellie (and Belle)! So much to love in this one!!

I received an advanced copy. All thoughts are my own.

Said No One Ever
By Stephanie Eding
Format: audiobook 🎧
Narration by Stephanie Richardson
Out today!!!

Blurb: Ellie has just about had enough of her family's constant criticism and attempts to control her life. But when she rents an Airbnb getaway on a gorgeous farm in Montana, she encounters a whole new set of family drama. Now she's the reluctant and borderline competent caretaker of a barn full of unruly farm animals, caught between two handsome men competing for control of the farm, and the sudden best friend of a spunky elderly widow whose outrageous ideas just might change her destiny...

I really enjoyed this audiobook! I found the plot interesting, funny, engaging and unique. The writing is well done with good pacing. Stephanie Eding provides the reader with a fun distraction from reality with this enemies to lovers story. Also, the addition of the hilarious senior citizens, added so much love and fun to the story. The narration by Stephanie Richardson was wonderful. Her voice is very nice and her ability to present each of the characters was great.

If you want a fun, sweet, romance to read, put this book on your TBR list.

Many thanks to Dreamscape Media, NetGalley, and the author for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook arc for an honest review.

I loved this book. It was a feel good read. The characters are what made the story come alive. I especially loved Marilyn. We all need a Marilyn in our lives. I recently lost mine which is probably why the character resonated so much with me. Fun story of learning who you are and gaining some confidence.

Such a fun read! Loved the farm setting.

Ellie's life is a bit of a mess. She decides some time away is needed and rents a "tiny house" Airbnb on a farm in Montana. When she arrives, the owner of the property, Marilyn, is being taken away in an ambulance. Ellie finds herself as a substitute farm hand. She's doing chores, chasing animals, and later, in the midst of a possible romance and dealing with some of Marilyn's family members and their drama!

This book was sweet, and had some romance (not spicy!), and it was actually laugh out loud funny at times. I loved many of the characters, but Marilyn stole my heart. She is a sassy eighty-something widow with a wild streak and a mind of her own. She had me rolling, and when she befriends Belle, those two were a riot.

I adored watching Ellie grow and find herself, learn to stand up to her own family, and discover some romance and found family along the way!

Loved the narration as well!

Many thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for an ALC in exchange for my honest review!

This was absolutely adorable. I love a good book with shenanigans and this one had it in droves. A crazy farm dog, a lovable donkey, unruly sheep and an outrageous octogenarian in charge of them all? Yes, this book was everything and more. It was just fun and cute the kind of book you just enjoy reading.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing an ARC of “said no one ever” in exchange for my honest review! Ellie runs away to Montana after a rocky breakup and a her overbearing families attempts to map out her life. While in her air b and b the elderly lady next door (who owns the farm she is staying on) falls and Ellie visits her a day later to be left with all the farm responsibilities and a new found friendship!

I loved the light hearted nature of this book it was a good time which included a handsome grandson, Warren. All the characters were really well done and the story overall was great!

Thank you @sourcebookcasa @dreamscape_media @netgalley for a copy this book. Ellie escapes to a small town Montana as her life is at a crossroad and all things break loose when the host needs help taking care of the property. She meets the host grandson, Warren, and there's mistrust and they must learn to figure out how to bear with each other. This felt more like women's fiction and Ellie figures out how to handle her family and Warren doing the same with his family. I didn't really buy their love story and wanted to see it develop.

I loved this book and the journey of finding your way. The farm setting and animals were so much fun as well as the characters.

This was a quirky entertaining read. Ellie’s AirBNB vacation ends up being nothing like she expected as she ends up wrapped in the owner’s drama and caring for farm animals. I enjoyed all of the shenanigans she gets wrapped up in. This was definitely more women’s fiction than romance but I still enjoyed it. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed the narration.

This book follows down-on-her-luck Ellie as she starts her vacation as an Airbnb guest at a farm in Montana. She hopes to escape her pestering family as she figures out her next job, where she will live, and how her social life will be when she returns to Ohio. Her dreams of a relaxing few weeks at the farm are crushed when she becomes responsible for caring for the animals and helping the owner complete a mission she has kept secret from her family. Ellie is thrown into their family drama while avoiding her own. And the handsome yet distrusting grandson that comes to check up on the farm is just a sliver of Ellie's problems.

This story was so fun and lighthearted despite all the drama it contained. It was the perfect, relaxing read. I almost brushed it off as being a little corny at the beginning when Ellie was gushing over the potential of a meet-cute, but learned that she is just an overthinking character. Once I got into the book, the clunkiness of that passage completely faded to the back of my mind. The narrator did a great job of keeping the story engaging, providing different tones for different characters, and flowing through the emotions of every chapter.

The characters in this book are absolute treasures! Ellie is an city girl who quickly learns to love the farm life. Marilyn is an 80-some-year-old with a great sense of humor 9so is Belle!) and a spark for mischief. Warren is your typical brooding, successful man, but once you get to know him you know he likes to have fun and has a soft spot for his grandma. The other side characters that make up this cast are very 3-dimensional who either show great growth in their minimal page time, or have layers you don't see coming. Each individual was entertaining to read about!

I love to read stories where characters feel a little stuck in life. It is something so many people go through and I like to see that it's a normal occurrence. What made this one unique was that Ellie, even in her most pessimistic moments, was generally happy with her decisions, just a little worries about where they would take her at this point in her life. The sad overtones usually found in stories about quarter/mid-life crises was not prevalent, and that was a good thing. It kept the book light, fun, and something that readers who relate to Ellie can pick up without worry. Very thankful that a fun book with these themes exists!

Ellie rents an Airbnb in the middle of nowhere, Montana, to get away from her life. She's thrust into the shenanigans and family drama of her host and becomes her host's pseudo-caretaker. Between the elderly lady's meddling, two polar opposite men, and the never-ending line of animals, Ellie is busier than she expected to be on her solo retreat.
I found the cover and synopsis to be extremely appealing. Love triangles aren't for everyone but I like the push and pull between the characters and the juxtaposition the MC finds herself in with two personalities vying for her attention. Usually, I'll pick the wrong LI but, in this case, I was on the right team. I wasn't connected to any of the characters, however, despite really enjoying Stephanie's last release and the summary for this one. This won't deter me from trying another by her.
The narrator, Stephanie Richardson, is fine. I didn't find that she added much to the story through her performance and it probably added to my waning interest.
Thank you to Sourcebooks and NetGalley for the advanced copy and Dreamscape Media for the alc. All thoughts in this review are my own.

Said No One Ever not only came on my radar for being right up my alley as a women’s fiction/romance, but it was also set in Montana, which is not found a lot in either genre. Ellie Reed rents an AirBnB from an 82-year-old woman named Marilyn in Montana. She is hoping that this time away from her home in Ohio will allow her to think about the next steps in her life. Not only is Ellie recovering from a recent break-up, who her mom loved, she is also trying to figure out her career after being let go and her sister is insistent that Ellie now become her nanny. After arriving at the farm, Ellie soon discovers that Marilyn has been taken to the hospital leaving Ellie to take care of the farm.

I loved Ellie’s time on the farm as all the animals, especially the dog, Hilda, were all adorable and added some great personality to the story. Ellie also meets Warren, Marilyn’s grandson who comes by to help on the farm and Blake who lives down the road. If I had to choose only one genre for this story, I would lean more towards women’s fiction compared to romance. The love story part of the novel was still enjoyable, but Ellie’s journey was the center. As love interests, both Warren and Blake had great chemistry with Ellie, but I still needed more to fully connect with a relationship. For me, the romance read as a new beginning for the final couple with lots of possibilities, but I am not sure how long it would last. It was not a bad thing, but just something different compared to other romances. Aside from her romance, Ellie has her family drama, her career, and many other issues that she is working through, so I enjoyed following her.

Stephanie Richardson provided the narration for this story and did a fantastic job as, I feel, she accurately captured the characters and general emotions that were all over the place in the story. Ellie herself was the main narrator of the story and I loved the idea that she was taking time for herself. Sometimes, though, Ellie’s family was a little too involved in her life, so it would be nice to have more background to see how they got to this point. Ellie’s journey was a delight as she spends each stay on the farm and slowly becomes integrated in Marilyn’s life. The farm was a great backdrop, and it was easy to picture the chaos that is daily farm life and how many tasks it takes to take care of everything. Eding’s writing was captivating and enjoyable, and I look forward to reading more of her novel’s in the future.

**I give a special thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to read this enjoyable novel. The opinions expressed are completely my own.**

I found the majority of Said No One Ever tedious, boring, and unpleasant. In particular, Ellie's mom and sister are absolutely horrid—being insensitive about her decision to leave her serious boyfriend; completely ignoring the fact that she's trying hard to find a new job; and generally trying to control her, as if she's a child (or incompetent). They are selfish, narcissistic, snobby, and demeaning.

The old ladies—Ellie's Airbnb host Marilyn and, later, Marilyn's roommate at the physical therapy care facility—are the saving grace of the book. I also enjoyed Ellie's friendship with Dr. Tori, the local vet, though that doesn't get a lot of attention.

The main romance isn't the one you likely think.

I was amused that Warren's ringtone for Marilyn (his grandmother) is the Golden Girls theme. Even funnier, though, is that his ringtone for his mom is an emergency siren.

Despite the several rewarding female friendships, the animals, the occasional humor, and an admittedly nifty ending, I dinged the rating because one shouldn’t have to wait until the 80% mark for the story to get really good and interesting.

Thank you, NetGalley and Dreamscape Media, for the audio ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review. Publication is expected April 4.

I loved this audiobook. Ellie decides to try to escape to Montana for a few weeks to get away from the turmoil in her life and she ends up caring for a ranch and involved in some family drama.
Super cute and enjoyable feel good read.
Narrator did a great job and I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Absolutely delightful. I enjoyed every bit of it from start to finish. The audio narrator was great.

Ellie was at a crossroads, feeling like her world was falling apart with no real path to getting it back on track. She decides to go stay at an Airbnb in Montana to get centered, gain some fresh perspective and then start over. Ellie and everyone else in her path (Or Marilyn’s) gets more than they bargained for in this book and hilarity ensues.

Marilyn, the owner of the Airbnb was a whole entire mess. Warren was the grandchild every grandparent wishes they had, although he is a bit grouchy…his love for his grandmother shines through. Marilyn reminded me of a spunkier version of my own grandmother so that made her even more endearing.

I absolutely adored all of the MCs in this book. I liked the character development and building of trust within the various relationships. Everything flowed so naturally.

It wasn’t full of romance but did have romantic elements. It was hilarious at times. I don’t really know how to classify this one. I don’t know that I’d call it a romcom but it definitely had those elements. If you liked “Dial A For Aunties” then you’ll probably love this one.

This was my 1st book by this author and based upon how much I enjoyed this one, I’m sure I’ll enjoy her other books as well. It’s hard to find books that you can really connect with, so anytime I find one it just makes my heart so happy.

I highly recommend this one.

This was a good read! I expected a cute enemies to lovers book but the side characters (animal and human) helped to make it much more. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator added something special to the storyline. Highly recommend!

Thank you, Net Galley, for an audio ARC of Dais No One Ever by Stephanie Eding. This is a very cute enemies to lovers romance. It has very likable characters. It was a wholly enjoyable audiobook to listen to.

For this one, I am going to say skip the audio version and stick to the print/digital versions.

Stephanie Richardson narrates the audiobook. While I did not have a problem with her narration per se, something was off. I do not know if it was the writing or the way the narrator spoke, but it came off very cheesy at times.

It is a cute story, I just cringed a lot. And I normally LOVE stories with crazy old ladies, lol.

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for this audio. I really enjoyed this small town romance. It was all well wrapped after a grumpy start. The characters were nice and enjoyable even not perfect but really I prefer they are not. There waa a story behind the obvious one. I could say we saw them growing. And we learn we can never say never
