This is a good activity for kids interested in the outdoors. And a lot of it can be done in your own backyard. So many activities, you may have to limit your time outdoors. A nice book to keep kids interested in what’s going on with the world around them. Take to the backyard, to the zoo, even camping to keep the kids busy. Honestly, adults will like this too. It’s always nice to have an activity to do on the weekends.

You'll definitely want to write in this book! There's hours of enjoyment with tons of activities from keeping a cloud journal to origami projects and a even making a moon phase mobile. I love how the book encourages kids to get outside and OBSERVE. (A lesson many adults could use, as well.)
This one really makes learning Fun with a capital F.

Like any other work by Rothman, I absolutely LOVED this one. It goes along with the nature anatomy book perfectly and I loved the activities in it. I don’t think there has been a work by Julia Rothman that I haven’t just loved and found stunning, and this is no exception.

Written as a companion to Julia Rothman's popular Nature Anatomy series, this Nature Anatomy Activity Book leads students in:
labeling parts of a tree
sequencing the stage of a frog life cycle
drawing butterflies
and much more!
Other activities include word searches, observation challenges, creating fossils and beaver dams, ... just to name a few.

This activity book is illustrated in the same style of the original Nature Anatomy and makes for a great addition piece. It would be a wonderful companion to any homeschool nature study or for those days when the weather keeps kids inside. This activity book appeals to those middle elementary years, and would make a great addition to any homeschool or on the go learning.

*Disclaimer: I recieved a free e-copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This activity book is making me excited for next summer already. I can't wait to give it to my niece for when we go to the cabin.

The activities are fun and different. I look forward to making the stages of the mood, and the diaries are just geniuses.

Any child (or 40 year old woman apparently) that love nature and science will love this activity book.

Julia Rothman's Nature Anatomy Activity Book is a fun, accurate, well written, and illustrated activity book for kids by Julia Rothman. Due out 12th Sept 2023 from Hachette on their Storey imprint, it's 64 pages and will be available in paperback format.

There are a number of different activities, and it's gratifying to see that the author has managed to make them *fun* and appealing for everyone and at the same time, basing them on actual scientific methods and observation. Kids (and facilitators) are invited to observe, count, and learn about wildlife and nature and record those observations. There are also word puzzles like scrambles and crosswords. Each page is illustrated in color.

Five stars. Due to the nature of activity books (being written in and *used*), it's not appropriate for library acquisition. Classroom use (for which it's certainly appropriate) would require a copy for each child. This would make a great purchase for home use.

Disclosure: I received an ARC at no cost from the author/publisher for review purposes.

This is an excellent resource for any science teacher or home schooler of early middle school or late elementary school 4-7th grade depending). I love the art and the activities and I will be purchasing a full copy in order to take advantage of them.

I would use this in conjunction with other experiments, worksheets, and readings and be very happy with it as a supplemental activity. I am home schooling my son, who is a preschooler and some of it can even be used with him if he has help (such as from my 12 year old daughter) I intend to use it with them both.

I received my copy from Net Galley in order to read and review.

This is the first Julia Rothman book I have had the pleasure of viewing, but based on it, I would recommend more.

As always Julia Rothman can do no wrong. She has the most incredible nature/reference books and her activity books are equally as beautiful and brilliant.

I love this book. Though it is not particularly informative as it is a companion book to another series of book by the same author, the activities in the book are easy for children to do and very engaging. It is in my pre-order list already on Amazon.
