This book is a great addition to the series. I love Bailey and all the characters. The mystery really was a mystery with many suspects and twists and turns. It answers some questions from previous books, but there are a couple of different cliff hangers at the end. I can't wait to see where they go.

This is the eighth in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. Bailey’s factory build has turned into a nightmare with work stoppage, the contractor trying to get more money out of her, and then his death at the site.

I enjoy this series and the others interrelated to it. Ms. Flower has the ability to integrate the Amish culture into the series through her blend of Amish and non-Amish characters that can work together to make their community thrive. I learn so much each time I pick up one of books.

Juliet takes advantage of Bailey with pig sitting requests. Bailey is more tolerant than I am in this concern.
Aiden is returning to town on a permanent basis. A lot is going on and I liked the ending. I forsee big changes in the police department, Juliet and Aiden’s life, Aiden’s PI business, and Luke’s and Charlotte lives.

Can’t wait for the next book. I was given an advanced copy. Thank-you Netgalley. I am not required to write a positive review, I chose to do so.

I love Amanda Flower books, particularly this series, Amish Candy Shop Mysteries. This is the eighth book in the series, and we again meet up with characters from previous book.

This book is centered around Bailey King, who runs a bakery with her grandmother, but also is the star of Bailey’s Amish Sweets TV show. Business is so good that she is building a candy factory, but ends up with many interruptions, including finding a dead body in the building during the village’s Blueberry Festival.

There are many people who become suspects in the murder, and as she has done in the past books, Bailey works to try to find the murderer.

We see her boyfriend, Aiden Brody, move back to Harvest, Ohio to open his own private investigation business. Will this change their relationship?

I highly recommend this book. Each of the books becomes my favorite until the next one comes out. I look forward to the next book in the series.

I thank Kensington and NetGalley for this advanced reading copy of this book.

BLUEBERRY BLUNDER is the eighth book in the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series by Amanda Flower. Set in Amish country, protagonist Bailey King runs the family-owned candy shop, Swissmen Sweets, with her Amish grandmother. On top of starring in the hit TV show, Bailey’s Amish Sweets, Bailey is also trying to build a candy factory in town, in order to grow the family business. But the Amish community, including her grandmother, are not happy with the expansion and the general contractor is making the project even more difficult. Ms. Flower weaves a tempting tale with sweet characters (I couldn’t help but fall for Jethro, the pig, who steals each scene he’s in!), a close-knit community, and a well-plotted, puzzling murder to solve.

Having lived my entire life in California, I’m not familiar with the Amish. I appreciated the care the author gives in providing a good overview of the community, from their lifestyles to their beliefs, without ever bogging down the story. In this modern day, it’s difficult to envision anyone living without electricity, smartphones, or motor vehicles, yet Ms. Flower manages to bring that community and some of the challenges they face to life on the pages.

The murder mystery itself was well thought out, and there were a slew of people who had issues with the contractor, Wade. But why was he killed in Bailey’s factory, especially after she argued with him? With so many suspects to sift through, Bailey has her work cut out for her to prove her innocence. And with a reality TV cameraman and a gung-ho producer dogging her every step, Bailey has to tread lightly out of respect for the Amish ways. Ms. Flowers proves once again to know how to put together a mystery that’s full of heart in a charming setting!

I was provided with an advance copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The 8th installment in the Amish Candy Shop mystery series. Bailey King lives in Harvest Ohio and works with her Grandmother who is Amish and her cousin Charlotte in the Swissmen Sweets Candy shop. She is also a star of her own TV show “Bailey’s Amish Sweets” so she has signed on for a new reality tv about expanding the family business and building a chocolate factory at the edge of the town square. Bailey is getting nervous as the construction at the factory is at a standstill and the contractor Wade Farmer is stalling so when she meets with him about progress he wants more money, Bailey refuses and fires him. At the Blueberry Festival, Bailey overhears Wade saying he will get even with Bailey and she is nervous about what he might do. That night since she can’t sleep she heads over to Swissmen Sweets to grab a flashlight before walking to the factory. Her cousin Charlotte joins her because she can tell Bailey is upset. When they get to the factory they see blood on the floor and look in the rafters to see a man dead up in the rafters. They call the police and Luke (Charlotte’s fiancée) arrives but is later joined by the sheriff who insists on taking over the case which is very odd. He of course dislikes Bailey and dislikes her boyfriend Aiden who was a former deputy under the sheriff before he left. He has come back to Harvest as it set to open his own private investigator’s practice. Charlotte’s father Sol Weaver immediately becomes a prime suspect as he was seen arguing with Wade the night he was murdered. He is later arrested and Charlotte and Bailey begin investigating and the resulting investigation is a shocker. I have to admit did not see this one coming and I did enjoy the mystery and the ending was a surprise and delight. Looking forward to the next installment in this series. Another great read. Highly recommend.

This is another good entry in the Amish Candy Shop series. Bailey, with the help of Charlotte and Aiden investigates another murder which involves both the English and Amish communities. There’s more going on than is apparent at first glance and the ending had a twist that I wasn’t expecting.

This was another great book in the series. As always, the characters are great - none better than Jethro! , the plot moves along at a great pace, and I was hooked from the start. I have to admit, I did not have the mystery totally worked out this time. Great ending. Highly recommend both the book and the series.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

#BlueberryBlunder #NetGalley is the 8th book in this sweet series by Amanda Flower.
Bailey is working hard to continue to grow the family chocolate shop, but things tend to go awry when she has to fire the contractor who is building her new factory.
It seems Wade has a nasty reputation, so when he's found, murdered, it really comes as no surprise.
Things turn ugly quickly when Bailey's cousin Charlotte learns her father is the prime suspect.
When Charlotte left her Amish beliefs behind to marry her true love, her family ignored her, especially her father.
Charlotte insists that she and Bailey investigate, she knows her father has a temper, but would this quiet Amish man kill another person?
This is a great addition to the series, I enjoyed reading it and am happy to recommend the series to other readers.

Spring has sprung in Harvest, Ohio. The small, mostly Amish, town is celebrating with the first annual Blueberry Bash in the town square complete with an elegant Blueberry Princess. But will dramatic twists of plot turn the Bash into a Blueberry Blunder?

Chocolatier Bailey is worried because her candy factory build is at a dead stop. Wade, her general contractor, demanded more money before he will continue the work. Bailey responds by firing him. A documentarian filmed Wade’s threat against Bailey that he will make sure no other local contractor will work with her. That night Wade is found dead in Bailey’s factory. An Amish relative is arrested, and Bailey is determined to find the real killer.

This series has the perfect mix of genuine characters and complex plotting. There is a lot going on within this entry in the series. Aiden, Bailey’s boyfriend, has given up his big city job and returned full time to Harvest. He is starting a private investigations firm, but will there be enough work to support him in such a small town? Aiden’s mother, Juliet, asks Bailey to babysit her pet polka dot pig, rambunctious Jethro, almost constantly leading to some truly laugh-out-loud moments.

If you enjoy cozy mysteries, do yourself a favor and read Blueberry Blunder. 5 stars and a favorite!

Thanks to Kensington Cozies and NetGalley for a digital review copy of the book.

Bailey's dream of having a candy factory is finally coming true. The construction had begun but now things have come to a standstill and it has been two months since anything has been done. So, Bailey makes the tough decision to fire general contractor. Now she has even bigger problems.

This is a great addition to the Amish Candy Shop Mystery series. Setting the story in the Amish communities of Ohio gives the story a unique twist. Furthermore, the distinct personalities of the characters keep the reader interested from beginning to end. Thanks to Kensington and NetGalley for an ARC. The opinions expressed are my own.

I have come to love this series and I always look forward to revisiting characters who have come to feel like friends. Bailey moved to an Amish community from NYC to help her grandmother run a candy store. She seems to get mixed up in unsolved murders and often risks her life to solve the mystery. All the situations are realistic and it is easy to get wrapped up in what is going on and lose track of time. All the characters are great, especially Jethro the pet pig and his polka dots. I recommend this book, and the series, to any cozy mystery reader. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

Amish culinary cozy Ms. Flower’s Amish Candy Shop series is an engaging one. Bailey’s returned to her Amish roots to help her gram, leaving NYC behind. She has grown to love the small town and Aiden, a former deputy.
When there’s a death at her new factory site and the sheriff arrests someone she is pretty sure is innocent, she starts her own investigation.
I requested and received a NetGalley Arc to peruse gratis and am reviewing in the same.

Through NetGalley, I received a free copy of BLUEBERRY BLUNDER (Book 8 of the Amish Candy Shop Mysteries) by Amanda Flower in exchange for an honest review. Bailey King, star of TV’s Bailey's Amish Sweets, has agreed to have her network document the construction of her new factory. However, construction has completely stopped, and the contractor is demanding more funding than agreed to in order to restart work. Bailey's opening date is now unlikely, so she offers her contractor one last chance to meet his obligation. When he refuses, Bailey fires him and his company. After overhearing the contractor make vague threats against her building site, Bailey makes a late-night visit to her partially constructed factory. While there, Bailey finds a body. When the sheriff is unable to pin the murder on Bailey, he quickly changes focus to a local Amish man. Once again, Bailey must perform her own investigation in order to identify the truly guilty.

I liked this book and enjoy the series. I recommend this book to fans of cozy murder mysteries featuring Amish, candy shops, and sassy pet pigs.

This eighth book in this delightful cozy series and worth your time to visit Harvest, Ohio, where Bailey King and her Amish grandmother own Swissman Sweets candy shop. As Bailey, a non-Amish person, contends with building a new candy factory on the edge of town while Gourmet Television’s creating a documentary as part of Bailey’s television show, things aren’t going to schedule or plan. When there’s a death at the factory building site, Bailey delves into the who, what and why of the death.
The author does a wonderful job of developing these characters and also have fun, quirky ones like Jethro, the famous pig. She does a respectful use of the Amish community in her books and it’s always a pleasure to read these stories.

Bailey King runs Swissmen Sweets 🍬 with her grandmother in the sleepy little village of Harvest Ohio.

Bailey has just signed a contract with Gourmet Television to do a documentary on the new candy factory she’s building.

But the construction project is taking longer than usual which gives Bailey some cause for concern.

During the filming, her friend, Margot Rawlings comes running into the factory, as usual with a favor. Margot is planning the First Annual Blueberry Bash set to take place later that night, and the blueberry princess has come down with the stomach flu. Margot wants Bailey to dress up as a blueberry princess.

But Bailey is in the middle of a huge construction project and being followed around by a film crew. She’s on a tight schedule—she’s even fired her contractor—and can’t see herself dressing up for the blueberry princess. But she agrees to help Margot out anyway.

Luckily for Bailey, the princess dress doesn’t fit so her cousin Charlotte steps in for her.

At the fair, Bailey overhears a conversation between Wade and an Amish man where Wade says Bailey would regret firing him. Fearing tha Wade would sabotage her factory, Bailey heads to the construction site that same night to make sure everything is in order.

But first Bailey makes a quick stop at her candy shop for a flashlight 🔦 since there’s no electricity in the factory 🏭

At her shop, Bailey finds her cousin still up. Charlotte offers to follow her to the site. At the factory, however, they did Wade lying dead on a scaffolding. Apparently, he was shot with a rifle. Who killed him and why?

According to some locals, Wade Farmer was fond of delaying his clients’ projects so he can demand more money from them to speed up the process. Could one of the clients have been responsible for his death?

Soon after Wade is found dead, Charlotte’s father Sol Weaver becomes the suspect. He was later identified as the man Wade was seen taking to at the fair. But Sol insists he’s innocent. Now it’s up to Bailey to help clear Charlotte’s father’s name.

Meanwhile, Bailey’s boyfriend Aiden Brody who’s been sheriff’s deputy in Holmes County has recently completed his training with the Bureau of Investigations, Ohio, and is back in Harvest as a private detective. He’s been assigned his first PI case involving some missing money at the Linzer Petting Zoo in Holmes County.

The book includes Bailey’s Blueberry-and-Cream Fudge recipe🫐

Thank you to Amanda Flower, NetGalley, and Kensington Books for the arc of this book.

I enjoy Amanda Flower's Amish chocolate series for many reasons. The books are well written, and evoke small town America.

Her characters grow and develop in her series without the author throwing in a romantic triangles to add conflict.

Bailey King is expanding her chocolate business to incude a chocolate factory, but has a problem with her contractor.

A murder occurs and Bailey gets involved. With plenty of suspects in both English and Amish communities, I was unsure of the perpetrator until the final reveal.

The book ends on a hopeful note with a wedding, and includes a yummy blueberry fudge recipe.

Changes, both personal and professional, are the horizon for Bailey and Adrian (her boyfriend) and I hope to read more of their adventures.

I always enjoy reading this series by Amanda Flower because I like to see how long it takes Bailey(a main character) and myself to figure out the mystery, if this will be the book that Bailey and Aiden get married and to see what mischief Jethro the pig gets into. It is definitely a humorous cozy mystery that grabs you from page one and helps you escape the worries of the world.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book given to me by NetGalley and the publisher for my honest opinion. All words are my own.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for letting me review this book. I’ve been a fan of the series since the beginning and have been hooked ever since. This book didn’t disappoint! I like that Bailey keeps pursuing the case and usually stumbles upon more than she bargained for. I do like that the blueberry fudge recipe was included.
