This book is such a wonderful tool to give children language to discuss their feelings. The visuals make the ideas accessible and engaging. I can see this being used as a tool in classrooms and with specialists to help children communicate their feelings!

Thank you, Beyond Words Publishing, for the advance reading copy.

We need this book. Actually we all needed this book years and years ago. Not much has been written or, let’s say, known that such books are required.

Instead of just saying “you will grow out of it” or just telling the kids to grow up or “it happens”, such books let the adults and the kids know it’s normal to feel anxious, sad or angry when it comes to friends and our first social interactions.

I feel the authors have done a really good job in compiling different scenarios with great examples to explain help the readers understand how and why it happens and what we can do about it.

I love the diagrams and the illustrations which help the reading experience to be a better interactive one. I always appreciate it when such guide books come with illustrations/comics and interactive exercises.

So well done.
