I definitely recommend this book for all. For Christians and those who want to k ow there purpose. Hosanna brings you to knowing who you are in Christ, not man. She leads you through how to heal from past hurts by putting Jesus’s in your past hurts. She has great illusions and practical advice on the “how” to achieve this. A must read.

This book will change your life

You must read Hosanna Wong's new book because it will change your life. She hooked me from the very beginning in chapter one when she wrote, “God’s voice must be the loudest voice in our lives.”

What voices do we listen to? The Enemy (Satan) tells us we don’t measure up, we are not enough, and we don’t do enough. But God gives us new names, including child of God, masterpiece, greatly loved, and free indeed!

She wrote, “A real relationship with Jesus is the key to unlocking who you really are.”

The book’s greatest feature is Hosanna’s practical plan on how to follow Jesus. Not just pray more, read the Bible more. She gives the reader a real life plan, which can be tailored to any individual’s age or season of life.

“You Are More Than You've Been Told” by Hosanna Wong is such an amazing book!!! Hosanna has a way of defining and explaining issues and concepts that is so deep, and yet so easy to understand.... it's like the lightbulb suddenly went on.

I have gone through years of recovery and healing both in Christian and Non-Christian settings. Yet this book unlocked keys to pain, hurts and healing like nothing else. From the beginning of the introduction, I knew this book was different. I could instantly feel my eyes well up, as I felt she was speaking directly to me and welcoming me into a new healing and freedom.

There is no one that cannot and will not benefit from this book. This is a definite MUST read!!!

Biblical, practical, refreshing and real. This book reads like having coffee with Hosanna- sitting across from her, listening to her open up about past hurts — discovering who God made her to be, and living her life in such a way as to emulate Jesus. She writes as your friend and advocate, and clearly breaks down Biblical truths and passages that will hit you in a new way whether you are hearing them for the first time or fortieth time. The book is well written and organized in 3 sections. I especially loved the metaphor of the trellis, and how when we abide in Christ we are supported and able to flourish - as opposed to going it alone and slowing our growth because we are weighed down by stress, lies, and burdens that were never meant for us. This is hands down in my top 5 best books of this year, and I am recommending it to everyone! No matter your faith experience or life stage, God has something in this book to reveal to you and He is FOR you. You are more than you have been told. If I could I would give this book 10 stars. It was really good. A lot of the names that are in this book. I have been called. I loved getting to know Hosanna Wong, and feeling like I could connect with her and some of her situations. If your a fan of Hosannas I wouldn’t miss this book.

Hosanna Wong’s new book, You Are More Than You’ve Been Told is a vulnerable story about the author’s testimony. Hosanna- I can call her by name because I feel like she is a friend I would go to coffee with- did not hold back with where she’s been and what she has been through. She doesn’t disclose this information for pity or as a victim. She simply shares these parts of her story so she can help others believe truths about who they really are in God---not the lies that continued to roll in her head. She did not remain “stuck” or “imprisoned” in her past or in her thoughts. Instead, she was able to learn practical steps and truths that helped her to step out of the “muck and mire,” finding hope and redemption through Jesus. If you have been bound by anyone or anything in your life, especially your past, this book is for you. If you are frozen in your thoughts of what others think of you, this book is for you. If you only believe you’ll never be loved or accepted by yourself, God or others- this book is for you. If you are paralyzed by the names you’ve been called, this book is for you. Hosanna has found freedom and a new name in the truth of what God says about her, and she genuinely wants you, too, to embrace your new name. We all need to know we are loved and accepted. You just might need a new name- maybe “Greatly Loved?” How would “God’s Masterpiece” sound to you? What will your new name be?
