I read this and thought it was cute and it definitely flowed and held my attention. I have it to my son and he didn't put it down. He found it just as enjoyable as I did.

Dotty is a supernatural sleuth looking for a case to solve in her hometown of Elderton. Soon it becomes apparent that something is going on, and Dotty is the only one who can solve the case. What is happening? Well, it seems that potatoes are disappearing throughout the town. Regular potatoes, French fries, all the potatoes. On top of that, all the adults are starting to act weird. Dotty, with the help of her friends and her tools for detecting the supernatural, sets out to solve the mystery. I thoroughly enjoyed this read. It is a great chapter book for children and will appeal to their imagination. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

First of all. Thankyou so much for gimme a chance to read this book!

I was convinced to read this book because the blurb is interesting. and I think this book will also fulfills my expectations about things I like, such as the paranormal kind of things. Also because this is a middle-grade mystery book.

But I'm so sorry that i have to DNF-ing this book at 35% because 'something' that bothered me.

1. The narrative doesn't flow like i wanted to in middle-grade book.
2. The diction is lil bit hard to follow (i'm not native english) not like was i expected it to be.
3. Is Ms. Bravo indonesian? Because 'gratis' is indonesian language not indian. I only know that Ms. Bravo studied in India, not Indonesia. India and Indonesia are different countries. Yes, it was quite disappointing for me as an Indonesian, so I'm sad that I can't finish this book. what if the kids read this book? I think they will think that 'Gratis' is Indian.

But other than that. I like the characters. I also like the concept of the story. Maybe this book is just didn't for me.

Thats my own opinion.
Thankyou :)
