She is planning three weddings— an over-the-top extravaganza for a Long Island developer’s daughter, an elegant gay affair, and an event for an over controlling doctor and his nurse. This book got off to a great start but over time some of the wedding plans and details became redundant. The characters were very likable but their situations were quite predictable. A book regarding Faith Ferguson a prominent wedding planner in New York. So many different types of weddings and the different people involved and the many different reasons for the types and expenses involved in doing the weddings. Faith was very good at her job with many different ideas for her clients but didn’t believe in happy ever after for herself. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others. Amazing the different styles of stories that Danielle Steel has been working on lately.

It describes so many different types of weddings. not only that she helped someone get out of an abusive relationship. Danielle Steele can always be counted on to bring the drama but do it in a way that you can read it at your leisure and not lose interest. This was no exception. It wasn’t as intense as some of her others, but it moved along well with even pacing.
Faith, as you can tell from the title, is “the” sought after wedding planner. She is happily single after being engaged twice and it not working out. Now she is busy planning weddings for others, from super extravagant million dollar weddings to the simpler, more intimate one for her own personal assistant, Violet, who can’t really afford anything special, but they’ve been together for along time and feel like it’s time to make it official. Ans everything in between. Meanwhile, Faith’s twin sister, Hope, is living her dream life in the country with her husband raising her family and the total opposite of Faith. Their mom decides to get married for the third time and they have to deal with that as well.
As Faith plans the weddings of the various couples, a rich spoiled daddy’s girl, a gay couple who are expecting via surrogate and Phoebe who is engaged to a super controlling man who Faith doesn’t think she should marry, she tackles the various obstacles that stand between each couple and the weddof their dreams. And Faith is the miracle worker that makes everything okay for everyone, and after giving so much of herself for so many years, she even ends up making things better for herself.
This is classic woman’s fiction with some triggers-verbal and physical abuse, traumatic birth.

The Wedding Planner takes the reader on many wedding journies as Faith Ferguson, the wedding planner, plans and executes their weddings. I loved all of the characters and how they fit together. The ending was a little predictable and somewhat satisfying. I did feel like the writing was a little redundant. A sentence would say something and then two sentences later the same thing would be said, but in just a little different wording, it was a little odd. I also was a little annoyed with the fact that the main character constantly refers to her twin as her twin, instead of using her name or saying "my sister." I have twins and they never refer to each other as their twin.
Overall, the story was good and very quick to read. If I could I would give a 3.5.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Faith loves helping people get the wedding of their dreams. Her clients do not mind her fees because she delivers as promised. Her love life is non existent until she meets a brother of one of her clients. They take it slow and try to keep it a secret from her family and friends. His was an enjoyable read and I can not wait to read her next one.

Faith is a wedding planner with no faith for weddings for herself. She plans opulent, detailed weddings with the bride always kept in mind, no matter who’s paying. She has a twin sister named Hope, and a mother who is lousy at marriage. The clients and the wedding planner and her family all make for a great story!

I always love Danielle Steels book, for me they are such easy quick reads, this one was all about family particularly twin sisters who are extremely close but have such different lives. Faith is a very prominent wedding planner in New York who has sworn off ever getting married herself, this story details her life planning weddings and her relationship with her sister.

I loved the entire story and what happens when trying to plan weddings when you can’t control all the things that can happen, but yet she always made sure the weddings went off without a hitch, made close friends along the way, and found something she never thought she would want, this book made me laugh and cry like a baby. The plot has Faith planning the wedding for three different couples and is told from different perspectives throughout.

There is no smut in this story. And the love stories were hard to connect with. But I contribute this to the author focusing on the drama aspect in the multiple story lines.

The drama was the driving force in this story. Three different couples each with their personal lives in limbo but still trying to plan the wedding of their dreams. And the saint that is Faith saving the day in so many peoples lives.

Thankful to NetGalley for an early read, although I felt that it was not quite up to par with Ms Steel's usual narratives, It sort of felt like there was a missing plot. Also, I'm used to stories with surprising twists. Nevertheless, still enjoyable. Quite an eye opener, in fact, to see how much money can be spent on a wedding. My daughter's was $1700, catered in a nice reception center with an excellent professional photographer, my brother performing the ceremony. You just have to shop around and do the planning, yourself. Seems like such a waste, otherwise, especially if you're paying 2 million bucks, like some of this planner's clients.

The wedding planner is about a woman named Faith who, you guessed it.. plans weddings! It was a solid read, but I found some of the writing to be repetitive. I wanted to know what happened with the secondary characters so I kept reading but I skimmed through some parts. Good story just seemed to have some fluff added that didn’t need to be there.

Loved reading the engaging and enthralling story. Faith, a well-known wedding planner, is not only in charge of elaborate and expensive weddings, but also she's a counselor, friend, and confidant to her clients, family, and friends. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read story by the incredible and extraordinary author, Danielle Steel.

A wedding is a moment defined by an union between two people of which vows are exchanged declaring love. However, and what is reiterated repeatedly throughout the book, life is a series of moments of which all should be grabbed and lived to the fullest extent. Love has no bounds nor age. Faith is excellent at what she does but until she met Edward, she realized what was missing in her life. One cannot live on work alone. She realized then why Hope willingly walked away from a success modeling career to have a boisterous family with Angus. Why Marianne and Jean-Pierre chose to marry and travel the world together. Morgan Alex took a huge leap of faith bringing the two children into their lives within such a short period of time. In all of these situations and despite challenges, it was well worth it. Love truly does conquer all.

Faith and Hope are twin sisters who have shared everything over the years. Yet they couldn’t be different in their choice of lifestyle. Faith is the most sought after wedding planner New York has to offer. Faith is disciplined, stylish, a bit reserved but truly professional. Hope modeled happily until she met and married Angus, now they live in Connecticut with a growing brood of children. Faith looks forward each January as the start of her calendar filled wedding events. We are treated to three very different large affairs, with equally different client profiles. As each story unfolds, each bride offers Faith a dilemma she handles with insight and warmth. The through line I found interesting is the fact the main character has no desire to marry at all. I found it heartening that her only wish was for the each client to have the day they wanted. Hats off to offering a look into the billion dollar industry that at least in this case did not lose the human element.

What a lovely quick read from Danielle Steel. In The wedding planner you are introduced to a number of characters through a wedding planner business. You get to take a peek into their lives and how not perfect these lives are, even though they are trying to make you believe they are perfect. As always, there is some love and some angst. I like how the author has been weaving current themes into her story lines!

Faith along with the help of Violet put together some amazing weddings and the couples all love the end results of all their hard work.
There are a lot of stories intertwined in the book. The details of putting together the weddings and the personal lives of the couples getting married are so perfectly written you can feel yourself in the pages of the book.
Danielle Steel gives me the escape I want when I read her books.

The Wedding Planner is a typical Danielle Steel Novel. The main character, Faith Ferguson is an upscale wedding planner. She's in her 40's, never-married, with a history of two bad relationships. The book has several sub-plots intertwined. Her clients' stories are told in detail. Many topics are dealt with in this novel.....surrogacy. adoption. abusive relationships, infidelity.
