The Wedding Planner by Danielle Steel is a captivating story.
I was immediately drawn into this book.
This was a very well written story.
With great characters that draw you into the story and keeps you so invested until the end.
I loved being on this life journey with Faith. Her character was fun, smart and really endearing.
Danielle Steel writes books that tug at your heartstrings, bringing you into the world of the characters and making you care about what happens to them.
And her newest novel is no different.

An enthralling story about the winding road to love and the many ways to find joy while staying true to oneself.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Random House Ballentine for allowing me to read this book. I could not stop reading this book. I finished it over the course of two days. I didn't want to stop reading it. It reminded me of the old days aka the 1980s and 1990s. I LOVED this book. I really enjoyed Faith as a character. I loved the arc of each of the couples that were featured. I knew one of the things was going to happen immediately. But I still truly enjoyed the book.

Faith Ferguson is a very sought after wedding planner but doesn’t believe in love or marriage. Through the story we see a multitude of different weddings being planned and the behind the scenes trauma and turmoil that comes with that special day.
The Wedding Planner is a typical Danielle Steel love story but a good read.
Thank you NetGalley for my ARC.

As with most Danielle Steel’s novels, The Wedding Planner features a strong, independent, (usually wealthy) female protagonist ripe for romance despite protestations to the contrary. It is a quick, entertaining read for when you just want to escape reality for a bit and fantasize about an alternate lifestyle.

Faith Ferguson is the premier wedding planner in New York City. Her weddings – big and small – are characterized by beauty, quality, and flawless execution. The story unfolds as Faith takes on three new clients for the summer – one an over-the-top extravaganza planned by parents desiring to show off their new-found wealth; one with a groom-to-be that gives off serious vibes for potential domestic abuse; and lastly, a loving gay couple who are also awaiting the birth of a child through a surrogate. As Faith navigates these major challenges, she also plans the smaller weddings of her mother (her fourth trip down the aisle) and her invaluable assistant. It all makes for an interesting and engaging look at the wedding industry.

The story is told in primarily narrative format with Steel’s penchant for repeating backstory details. The characters represent a wide variety of personalities addressing a host of social issues – premarital sex, unplanned pregnancies, domestic abuse, surrogate pregnancy, marriage between same sex partners, and infidelity – to name a few. I found Faith to be a likeable protagonist with a strong commitment to honoring her client’s wishes in planning their special day. The descriptions of the weddings are wonderfully detailed and evocative of Faith’s creativity and aesthetic nature. Of course, there are plenty of happy endings, leaving the conclusion on an upbeat note.

My thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the privilege of reviewing this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Exactly the good story you expect from Danielle Steel. By now, we all read enough to know, works magic. And the wedding planner is no exception. I enjoyed reading faith‘s story of the Shoemaker, who has no shoes, or in this case, the wedding planner, who doesn’t want to get married. I think we can all predict what happens, But I enjoyed seeing how it all played out

The Wedding Planner is full of parties, glamour and flowers along with some stressful situations for Faith, who is New York’s premier planner, and the couples that she is working with. From the extravagant weddings to those that are just as delightful, but on a smaller scale, Faith and her assistant work their magic to make everyone’s wedding day special. I was particularly pleased with the inclusivity and diversity of different couples. This was a fun and enjoyable read that I finished in one day. Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.

It’s been awhile since Danielle Steel has come out with a new book so I was excited to see this on NetGalley. The Wedding Planner is about Faith who is a very successful wedding planner in NY and she has 3 weddings to plan. Each one is unique in their own way and she has to figure out how to pull each one off successfully. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release. To be published May 2023. This is my 49th book by her that I’ve read! Wow!

Danielle Steel is the perfect example of someone who is a terrible writer but a gifted storyteller.

This book was cute and fun, but not much Depth..

The cliches are so over-the-top it was cringe-worthy. Every female main character was beautiful, slender and good, but in a very generic way. They had no flaws... But that's kinda the fun of a Danielle Steel book..

Faith is a top wedding planner for the NY area, but Faith doesn’t believe in marriage for herself. This story follows Faith and her family. We also see the lives of some of her customers. This is an entertaining book that would be perfect for a day at the beach. The book is a light read with mostly likable characters. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Faith Ferguson is the most sought after wedding planner in all of New York. She plans both huge lavish weddings and small intimate weddings. She has no desire to get married herself. She gets so involved with some of her clients, that they almost become like family as she helps them deal with their problems. This is a story of finding true love and also staying true to your self. I highly recommend this book. Thanks to @netgalley for this ARC!

I know I don’t have to look any further than a Danielle Steel book when I am looking to escape. And this fits the bill perfectly!

Faith Ferguson (don’t you love that alliteration) is a Manhattan wedding planner who has never been married, nor does she want to be. We meet her, her assistant, her family, and three clients. We get to observe their interactions with Faith throughout the wedding planning process. Of course, there is lots of glitz and glamour in true Danielle Steel fashion.

Since the main character is adamant that she is anti-marriage and doesn’t have time for a relationship, you immediately know what is coming. It did a bit for her romance to develop, but it was gratifying when it did.
If you’re looking for a guilty pleasure and a quick little escape before the wedding season gets into full gear, this is your book!

I give this book a rating of 3.5 stars.

This is pure charm. I was brought into a special land of brides and babies, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Faith Ferguson is a top tier wedding planner, who gets involved in planning all the weddings except hers. Each wedding is surrounded by babies, in every possible incarnation. There is adoption, surrogacy, multiple births, unplanned pregnancies, and complicated pregnancies.

As a reader who loves to visualize, I was given plenty to tickle my imagination. So, I enjoyed this book. Of course, it’s hard to envision weddings that cost over a million dollars (in fact, it offends me), but putting that aside, it’s a very pleasant read. I enjoyed the ending and I’m so glad that Steel didn’t close with unnecessary “schmaltz”.

I think this is an upbeat novel that presents a pretty picture that many of us can enjoy. Thank you Netgalley for this lovely novel.

I do love Danielle Steel stories and this one was no exeption. Faith was a wedding planner and had most of the time very wealthy clients. She had been engaged twice but one the groom to be ended and the other she ended quickly. She had a twin sister who had several kids and they talked every day. Faith really didn't understand wanting kids but she did love her sister's kids in small doses. She had an assistant Violet who was very smart and she coudn't do without. The story started out with three wedding consults. The first were very wealthy and wanted the moon, the second was a doctor who wouldn't let his fiance say a word, and the third was a gay couple that she would end up being great friends with. She knew that the first two would make her alot of money, but the third would be sweet and what a wedding should be about. All of these people would play a big part of the story with lots of drama. Lots of drama. I loved how she handled everything and everybody. It was obvious she loved her job and had a talent for it
A very good story that was fun to read

I got this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review

This is a typical cozy Danielle Steel read. Faith is a wedding planner who works with couples of all backgrounds, styles, and budgets, and helps them plan the wedding day of their dreams. Faith has had two failed engagements herself and knows that marriage is not in her own future. This book includes warm relationships with her assistant Violet, her clients, and their families.

This book was sent to me electronically for review by Netgalley. Thanks to the publisher and the author. A popular author, she has written a family oriented book that is realistic in some ways, and in other ways, maybe not so much. The wealth and the riches are not ordinary. The characters are likable, and they have so many experiences. Divorce, love and marriage, children. The relationship with the twin sisters is the basis of this story. Their mother is different but ends up happy. Their father is another story. The main character, the wedding planner, meets and comes to like the people for whom she plans the weddings. Enjoy.

Wedding planner is a glamorous career, full of parties, loving couples, flowers and delicious food. That may be true but Faith Ferguson knows what the job is really like - long hours, stressed out brides, budgets, last minute changes, cancellations and more. She has three major weddings booked for the summer, plus several smaller ones, including her own mother’s. There’s a Long Island wedding that will cost millions, paid by nouveau riche parents for their unhappy daughter. A successful but controlling plastic surgeon is marrying his surgical nurse and a gay couple are planning a wedding in the middle of an adoption. It’s a Danielle Steel romance so everything (with a few surprises) will work out perfectly, of course.

The Wedding Planner is a quick read, full of glamour, love and family, just what you expect from Danielle Steel. It takes you into a different world, a world where problems are resolved and love triumphs. Don’t we all want that? 5 stars.

Thank you to NetGalley, Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine and Danielle Steel for this ARC.
