A beautifully illustrated and very educational book for children and adults! I’ve never heard of some of these animals and their unique capabilities. This book will definitely lead you down rabbit holes (desman holes?) of further research on macrosmatic animals

This book is all about the interesting, weird, and amazing noses of the animal kingdom! Beautifully illustrated. Your kids that enjoy knowing random facts will love it. I wish it had some vocabulary definitions on page though.

Fantastic non-fiction picture book about animals from all over the world and how they use their noses. So many species we don't typically read about in picture books meant that we not only learned new animals but also about new habitats and the threats they face. Fab was probably the animals that burp to communicate! The illustrations are colorful and playful. Back matter includes an extensive glossary. Thank you so much to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read early. Highly recommend!

I loved everything about this book-the font, the illustrations, and the fascinating facts it taught me. I’ll need a copy for my children and a copy for the classroom. It even taught me about animals I’d never heard of and tidbits of information related to their noses. Kids will love this one!

Thanks to NorthSouth Books and NetGalley for the e-ARC to read and review. This was a fun, entertaining, and informative read that was a great blend of scientific and engaging. The category of interestingly-nosed animals is already a delight, but I also learned a lot about some creatures I've never even heard of before. The illustrations are wonderful and sustained my interest throughout. I would say it was not the kind of book I'd personally sit down with and read cover-to-cover in one sitting (more like a reference or something I'd peek into here and there) but I could see an animal-obsessed little one really poring over each detail and info tidbit.

This book is packed full of facts and information about animals with unique and special noses. The information is well researched and easily understood by elementary school children. The individual stories about the animals include a description of their nose,and how they use it, their habitat and countries of origin, their diet, and living habits; along with their scientific name. I learned about some animals I had never heard of before. The book is also entertaining. The illustrations are glorious.

As the title suggests we are introduced to a collection of different animals with the most amazing and interesting noses. With fun illustrations and a glossary to help out with all the big words, this book is a delight and it is fully equipped to answer all the questions that the little ones might have about all the different noses of the animal kingdom.

This books illustrations are beyond adorable. I can see any child loving all of the animals that are depicted like the birds, insects, elephants and monkeys it’s guaranteed to have a favorite animal of your wee one.

Aside from the visually stunning illustrations it’s jam packed with neat and quirky little facts and information that I as a young adult didn’t even know about, in regards to each of the animals .

Genius noses does a phenomenal job of asking and answering questions that your wee one may have in regards to these animals and it does it in a way that your little ones can understand it and make sense of earths most treasured animals.

All in all phenomenally pieced together from start to finish.

Short yet filled with fascinating facts about how different wild life animals use their nose and how their noses function are given in this short colourful read. The illustrations are warm and easy to the eyes; distinct and accurately done. For further reading and details, you can check out the glossary and the index towards the end of the book.

What an enchanting children's book! The wonders of God's creation never cease to amaze and even amuse me. There are some pretty cool 'nosey' creatures introduced here with cartoon-like illustrations that truly delighted me. There were quite a number of 'nosed' creatures I'd never heard of before such as a 'Desman' and a 'Bilby'. It was also surprizing to discover some snakes have noses to brag about. I think children will really be captivated by the'offerings' presented in this educational, yet entertaining book.

The layout has short blurbs per creature with corresponding illustrations arranged by types such as water, air, underground and land animals. Addtionally, there's a glossary at book's end to further engage the serious learner-reader.

This is such a fun and educational book! Even as an adult I learned a lot of fun facts about different animals (and their noses). Now I can quiz my kids with these fun facts. The illustrations are eye-catching and I found the overall book layout to be very reader friendly. A very engaging read.

A wonderfully written and illustrated compendium of the animal kingdoms great adaptations. Crack open this guide to learn all about genius nose designs and uses!

This is exactly the kind of book that would have consumed my attention at a young age. This books gives you a taste of various nose-related facts of some of the animals kingdoms most interesting and lesser know species. I highly recommend this book to young readers with an interest in animals. The illustrations do a wonderfully job of depicting the animals and their adaptations in action as well.

Simply amazing! Genius Noses was an excellent read. I certainly enjoyed the almost realistic illustrations. Which just made for a complete package.

The educational information contained in the book has so much to offer middle grade readers. Even adults can learn a thing or two. I most certainly did after reading about the Gambian Pouched Rat and its use in detecting land mines!

Genius Noses is sure to be a book that will be read time and time again. Maybe even used as a reference for a school project. Five outstanding stars.

We loved the facts and details that went into this book! So many sensory descriptions and fun animals. The glossary of terms was a great ending. We reviewed what kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus & species are.

Genius Noses was such a fun book to read with my son. He thinks noses are funny, so he stayed engaged throughout the book. The illustrations are beautiful and I really enjoyed the muted colors. This is a great book to learn about unusual animals that are often not included in other children’s books.
