The fourth in this new series from Kerry Wilkinson. Another mystery that falls into Millie’s lap and a crime that directly affects her. Oliver, who is teaching her young son to play the guitar shows her a strange tattoo behind his ear that he has no idea how it got there. Curiosity gets the better of Millie and so begins a search for answers that uncovers much more than she could have imagined. Also, being in the wrong place at the wrong time leads her to be witness to an unnerving crime. Once again Millie is at the centre of events and with now regular characters continuing to appear, this series has a lot of interest. Her friend and Godfather Guy seems to have secrets as do friends Jack and Rishi. Her ex husband also continues to be holding the moral high ground when it comes to custody of their son, Eric. A great series, nothing lengthy or too complex, with great characters all of whom have interesting back stories that are gradually revealed through each book. Kerry Wilkinson has surely another hit on his hands and with each book leaving an unanswered question at the end, he knows we will have to read the next one. I for one, am not complaining and look forward to number five.

This is my first introduction to author Kerry Wilkinson and the Whitecliffe Bay Mysteries and it was certainly an engaging one.

As protagonist Millie helps search for answers when her sons guitar teacher Oliver weirdly asks her to look behind his ear. The reason being he has discovered a tattoo that he has no recollection of ever getting and he wants to know where it came from. So when he learns somebody else in the area also has one he arranges to meet them and Millie tags along.

And together Millie, Oliver and Georgia go in search of answers and end up learning things they could never of imagined. But that's not the only mystery Millie ends up involved in when she witnesses a robbery on her way home.

And with a character driven storyline, plenty of mystery and some really great characters. This was an enjoyable introduction to the series, and I'll certainly be looking out for more in the series especially as this one ends with a slight cliffhanger.

This was the best in the series, but sadly the next one is not available yet (even for ARC). One good thing is Millie's imbecile friends are not there. I am still curious what happened to Millie's parents.
Thanks to NetGalley, the Publisher and the Author for the ARC

This series is getting better and better.
When Millie is asked to help Oliver find out about a mysterious tattoo behind his ear, she’d never imagine the situation they end up in.
Georgia has the same tattoo but neither of them know why. They didn’t get it themselves, so how did it get there?
Millie also witnesses a robbery in a shop which shakes her up and makes her realise what’s important.
She is still pushing Alex to give her custody of Eric but it seems he’s not willing to budge until Millie confronts him with a revelation.
This is a great mystery thriller that will have you racing through the pages to find out what happens next.
A great series.
Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

As a reader of previous Wilkinson's books, I was looking forward to reading this novel. I had not read any of the previous Whitecliff Bay Mysteries.

Most of the characters I found weak, such as Oliver and Alex, just didn't get into the characters.
The protagonist, Millie Westlake, I didn't like and her character development, going forward, was annoyed and distracting. Is she hiding a secret or is it all lies. A believable character was Samantha, my favourite character, a strong person. Another character, Guy, I enjoyed his resourcefulness and determination as a retired journalist. Guy brought a lot to the storyline.

For me, the story did not flow and my attention was dwindling and the writing style was not for me, with too many observation descriptions. I struggled to complete the book.

On a positive note, there was quirky dialogue between characters. Should I add another star for this?
I give a 3 star rating due to the quirky dialogue!

I WANT TO THANK NETGALLEY FOR THE OPPORTUNITY OF READING AN ADVANCED READING COPY OF THIS BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.

Another great book in the Whitecliff Bay series. The storyline is so good and easy to read it had me hooked from the first page with a few twists to keep me reading and as usual this book has been left on a cliffhanger. I really like the characters of Millie and Guy and the relationship between them of God father/God daughter. I don't know what would happen to Whitecliff if Millie wasn't around to solve all these issues!! Although can be read as a standalone I think it's better to read from the beginning to get the background story. Highly recommend this book and author and can't wait for the next book. A solid 5 stars.

I’d like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘The Ones Who Are Hidden’ the fourth in the Whitecliff Bay Mystery series written by Kerry Wilkinson, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Millie Westlake is asked by Oliver her son’s guitar teacher to take a look at the tattoo of a daisy that’s behind his ear and is surprised when he says he’s never had a tattoo. He then says he’s been in contact with a woman called Georgia who put on social media that she has an identical tattoo. As Millie gets closer to finding out about tattoo and a sect calling themselves Children of Enlightenment, she witnesses a man in a balaclava robbing the cashier in a supermarket.

‘The Ones Who Are Hidden’ is a fast-paced and enthralling addition to the Whitecliff Bay Mystery series with Millie and her friend and godfather Guy. Once again this is a gentle yet totally involving mystery novel with a plot that’s so compelling it’s difficult to stop reading and has had me turning page after page nonstop. I’ve been gripped from the beginning, following each twist and turn and unexpected event, hoping that Millie will get the answers she’s searching for. There are still a number of problems that Millie needs resolving so no pressure Mr Wilkinson but I’m hoping there’ll be a fifth book in the series in the
not too distant future.

This story has so much going on. Several mysteries arise that main character, Millie is trying to figure out. There are a lot characters throughout the story…..keeping them all figured out can be a bit tricky.
I love seeing the growth in Millie’s character. I was happy to see her stand up for herself more and more. I cheered during a few moments where she stood up for herself.
Looking forward to the next installment in the series. I am totally invested in Millie and her life!
This is book 4 in the A Whitecliff Bay Mystery series. Can this be read as a standalone? Though you could read it as standalone, I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series. There is just so much back story to the main character, Millie, that is important to know about.
Many thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Another instalment in this series which reveals more and keeps more hidden. I like Millie and Guy(and Barry) not so keen on some of the rest. Story slowly unwind with a few twists.

Being a huge fan of Kerry Wilkinson’s Jessica Daniels’ series, I was super happy and intrigued to give this one a whirl. Written quite noticeably by the same author, the same character depth, intrigue, ability to hook you in whether you have read the proceeding books or not. ‘Amateur sleuth Millie Westlake’, who gravitates toward anything a bit weird in Whitecliff Bay can’t help but get involved when her son’s guitar teacher enlists her sleuth skills to uncover the mystery of a random tattoo that he finds behind his ear that he doesn’t ever recall getting, nor does the random stranger in the next town who also has the same hidden tattoo… Just how sinister can a mini daisy tattoo be?

4.5 stars rounded up.

The Whitcliff Bay Mystery Book 4.

"You're tattoo.... It's exactly like mine." She hesitates, "But - I've never noticed it before. I must have it since i was little." The ink markings on both of them were delicate, barely visible. Interlinked triangles in the shapes of a daisy. But how can two strangers have matching tattoos they didn't know they had?

This series just keeps getting better. Millie is wondering why her son's music tutor, Oliver, and a woman he has never met before have matching tattoos on the same part of their bodies. Neither of them knew they had them or how they got there. Millie, along with some help from her godfather, Guy, decides to investigate to see f there any significance to them.

The plotline is intriguing, gripping and well written. The characters are well developed and I'm really liking Millie and Guy. Yes, once again the story ends with a cliffhanger, I just hope we don't have to wait too long for the next installment. I think I've said this after every book - this is my favourite book in the series do far.

I would like to thank #Netgalley #Bookouture and the author #KerryWilkinson for my ARC of #TheOnesWnhoAreHidden in exchange for an honest review.

The Ones Who Are Hidden by Kerry Wilkinson

The 4th outing for the Whitecliff Bay mysteries and what a roller coaster of a read it is.
Millie just seems to grow and grow and without her help in solving all the goings on in Whitecliff, what a place it would be !
I'm not sure what comes next for Millie but I can't wait for the next one.

The fourth book featuring amateur detective Millie Westlake finds her investigating two mysterious tattoos. They are identical and neither person who has one ever remembers getting a tattoo. As Millie investigates, she uncovers there is more to this mystery. I would recommend reading the others first. I was a bit lost character wise as this was my first Millie Westlake book.

Kerry Wilkinson has done it again! The Ones Who are Hidden, book four in the Whitecliff Bay series is another excellent mystery read and is the best yet!

Amateur sleuth, Millie Westlake, once again finds herself in the middle of not one mystery but two. When Oliver, her sons guitar teacher, asks her if she likes weird things she isn’t sure what he wants. She learns Oliver and another woman have daisy tattoos behind their ears but have no idea how or when they were placed there. He would like her help finding out what it means. While stopping in a store on the way home, the store is robbed by a man wearing a baklava. Millie is questioned by the police but can’t identify the man. She can’t let either mystery go until she has the answers.

The story is filled with the same great characters and you learn a little more about them. I liked that Millie stands up for herself a little more in this book. It’s about time. . I keep hoping with each book in the series that Millie’s secrets will finally be revealed but yet. I can’t wait for book five where I hope we will learn the answer to the question everyone wants to know-Did she kill her parents?

The Whitecliff Bay Mysteries has been my series of the year so far. It’s an intriguing formula that focuses on character driven suspense. The plots are quirky to say the least. In this one, Millie investigates why 2 locals have daisies tattooed on the backs of their ears that must have been there since childhood. It’s off the wall, but it works. Recommended for readers of comfy thrillers.

The Ones Who Are Hidden is book 4 in A Whitecliff Bay Mystery series by Kerry Wilkinson.

This was another incredibly gripping mystery written by Kerry Wilkinson.

The Ones Who Are Hidden is an entertaining read with a gripping plot, interesting characters and some clever twists and turns.
As soon as I started reading I knew I was going to enjoy it and I wasn’t disappointed as the tension kept increasing and I was unable to stop reading.

Millie is back and the mystery she is drawn into is intriguing and complex. This is the best of the series by far. I was completely hooked. We also get some answers, a big dose of satisfaction when a certain someone is finally confronted, and a little heartbreak as well. I'm looking forward to more and getting that big answer!

Thanks to Kerry and NetGalley for allowing me to read The Ones Who Are Hidden before the publication date. This is the 4th book in the series and it has several storylines.

In addition to her amateur sleuthing activities, Millie seems to have become the agony aunt for anyone in Whitecliff who needs help.

Her ex-husband, Alex , has escalated his spiteful campaign against Millie, using her as a taxi driver and child minder when it suits him whilst restricting her access to their 8 year old son, Eric.

With Rish and Jack’s relationship deteriorating, Jack turns to Millie for support. She knows that one of them is not being honest with her and has to decide whether to become involved.

As a child, Millie recalls stories of haunted woods. Now she finds herself drawn into an investigation about the activities of a commune which was set up in those woods, decades before.

With his knowledge of the area and his newspaper archive, former journalist, Guy, is able to provide information about the commune.
Guy is not on his best form as he is distracted by problems which he is having with Craig, his wife’s aggressive nephew, but refuses to take any action against him.
