A great thriller novel with so many twists and turns and you are constantly guessing. Told from 3 perspectives and dual timelines this thriller is fast paced, sinister and a great read

My Word Against His by Lauren North and narrated by Eloise Mignon was so good I could not stop listening to it. I was hooked from the beginning till the very end, especially as it had lots of twists and turns throughout that and It was a audiobook I did not want to finish, which made it one of my favourite audiobooks of 2023.

I highly recommend My Word against his and a 5 star audiobook/book.

Wow to say that was fast paced, unpredictable and enthralling would be an understatement but they are the first words coming to mind.

This is the fasted I've raced through a book in a while. I was definitely addicted and literally couldn't guess what would be revealed next.

Starts off as a relatively simple kidnap of sorts and soon it becomes apparent there are many layers of sinister going ons to be unravelled.

I always had an unsettled feeling while reading about Celia's house, but nothing could have prepared me for what actually happened.

I just knew nothing was at it seems.

This is psychological Thriller writing at its very best.

An utter gem from the pen of an author that I love reading.

Definitely thought I had this one pegged from the start. Even though the clues were blurry, and some things were easy to figure out, this was a still a wild ride. And I did not have it all figured out, which was a welcome outcome.
This thriller had it all - manipulation, abuse and power plays, unreliable characters, murder, deceit. Celia was a fantastic main character. She has you questioning everything, every scene, every conversation. Did you want her to win? Did you want her to get away with it? Did you want her to get caught? At what lengths will she go to in order to make sure her only child is safe and cared for?
Do yourself a favor and pick this one up.

This book started a bit slow but if you hang in there about half way thru the book takes off! So many twists and turns. Very captivating book and I'm glad I hung in there and finished. Definitely would recommend!

I loved the blurb and the premise it had me hooked straight in, Lauren throws in twist after twist throughout the book and I just loved it. I read this is one sitting!

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

This was a great read. Great connection with the characters, and I love a book thats unpredictable. Told by multiple POVs. You will love this book for sure.

Between all of the twists and turns this has the plot is extremely entertaining. Great characters development as slot. I had a difficulty time figuring this one out,

Wow, this book was the very definition of a page turner! I literally read this all in one sitting as I just had to know what was going on! The novel follows Celia who has received a mysterious phone call where she is asked to help someone she knew years before. On the drive to go to this person Celia is carjacked; she is panicking about her 17 year old son who'll be at home wondering where she is and she's worrying about the person she's meant to meet. We then get to find out more about the past and who Celia was meeting, we find out about her relationship with her son and her husband who walked out years earlier seemingly never to be seen again. This book has so many twists that it will leave your head spinning! Every single time I was sure I had it all worked out the rug was pulled from under me yet again. I loved how this kept me guessing, how it had me questioning my own perception of these characters. This was such a good read and I recommend it!

I am a big fan of Lauren North and this novel was no exception! I flew threw this one in a single afternoon. Great for a quick fast paced read.

I ABSOLUTELY DEVOURED THIS BOOK!!!! This was the first book I ever read by Kat Singleton and I knew without a shadow of a doubt by about 25% in I would forever be an instant one-clicker

This book had me hooked from the start, to the point where I wanted to read for hours. Filled with twists, turns and surprises, I highly recommend this to all who like thrillers. A great book, and I definitely want to read more by Lauren North.

This was a good one, it had me guessing until the very end.

I went from believing three different people were killers before I finally landed on the correct person. The author writes in 3 different viewpoints very well and juggles between present and past tense. Overall this makes for a very interesting story
