Wow, wow, wow. This author is just incredible - each of her books perfection itself. In a crowded market, her books stand out. Original and absolutely amazing, this book is just wow!

Loved this book, But I have read books by this author before and enjoyed them. I loved the ending too, i thought it was suitable and liked the ending. The characters flowed with the story, I was not sure about the main character and at times i felt she needed a good shake. and I was not over keen on the husband, Very enjoyable

Another great K.L. Slater novel, I really need to catch up on all the back catalogue! A great psychological thriller with twists and turns. Well recommended.
Thanks to #NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced copy of the book in return for an honest review

Oh my God. I got the chills so many times toward the end of this book. It completely blew my mind. It managed to surpass my high expectations AND be nothing at all like I expected

I’m surprisingly disappointed with this story. I normally really enjoy this author.

There were the usual good twists and the unlikable characters but I didn’t see the point. Why bring Lottie and Neil on board if Ted and Neeta want to maintain their secret? What was Neeta doing to Neil in all the “sessions”? Why even hide the secret? What were Ted and Neeta wanting to accomplish, end goal? Then that final plot twist at the end - really? Seems so far fetched it’s a bit ridiculous. It seems like a lot of unnecessary drama.

I will definitely check out the next by this author but would recommend earlier work vs this one.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for a copy in exchange for a review.

I loved this book, such a good read that kept me guessing right to the end . The twists and turns kept going through the whole book which made it difficult to leave down. The story unfolds leaving you wanting more after every chapter. I would highly recommend this book to everyone you loves a good psychological thriller

I thoroughly enjoy K.L. Slater’s books and this one was no exception! The Bedroom Window was about a family who falls on hard times and moves to a new town. The husband’s bosses are a husband and wife who seem a little shady and too good to be true. Then there is a plot twist that I didn’t see coming! So good! 4/5 stars

This book had me sucked in from the get-go!
Poor Lottie, a woman with a difficult past has finally gotten a fresh start at life with a wonderful son and a husband who has recovered from a terrible accident. Of course, things and people aren’t always as they seem.
Just when things seem to be working out for her family, Lottie gets suspicious of the new neighbors, and it totally spirals out of control.
With twists and turns, I never knew what would happen next, and I definitely couldn’t wait to find out! I have this one 5/5 stars!

I have a hard time reviewing this book because I think this story has the potential to be a great psychological thriller. However, I believe it felt short in deliverence
The book starts with a prologue that many thriller books are tending to use, which is the HOOK pages. We open with a bloody scene of a women cleaning the evidence of her crimes. But we do not know who this women is, her name, what she did, who was murdered? So you are basically intrigued to continue reading.

We are then introduced to a small family of three who went through a lot in past years and now they are given the chance for a brand new life with a couple offering the father a job.
as the story proceeds, we find out that every major character in the book in harboring a secret and you tend to have a feeling that these secrets are life-altering.
Then, the book shifts in time to tell us events that happened 20/18 years ago with little Charlie and Claire.
The story starts out slow at first with small twists and events and then it suddenly picks up so fast by page 200 that everything feels rushed

but so many things prevented this book to be enjoyable
1- I saw the plot twist a mile a way, and even when the writer attempted to throw in another twist it was also predictable. I suppose this happens with readers who read many thriller books. nothing surprises you anymore

2- You feel nothing for the characters. Non of these characters held the depth or the attitute that you as a reader get the sense to feel connected with any of them
Lottie is the nosey wife who stood by her husband Neil when he had an accident that almost rendered him paralysed. We were supposed to feel empathatic with her and what he did, but slowly slowly you discover that she is a meddler, with an awful past. I did not get her love for her mother. nothing implied that she was attached to her. So I was questioning her sudden feelings during the reunion
Neil is the worst kind of husband. His wife stood by him during the toughest time but he did not have the decency to give her the benefit of the doubt and investigate what she told him and what she saw. Always gaslighting her just becasue he got the job he wanted and didn't want to lose it

I did not understand the motive of the supposidely "villians in the story",Why they had to change physically? did not know why Mary behaved this drastically, did not get why they demolished a perfectly built house suitable to hide a secret to build a glass see through house!!
There were many plot holes and questions unanswered. and the ages of some of the characters did not make sense at all
Lottie meets her mother after 18 years, and she says she is now 80 or late 70, so that makes her around 60 when the events took place! but she had a 13 year old daughter so she had her when she was 45! but she was close to Claire's mother age who was in her thirties???
and there were scenes that you did understand why they are there! like Neeta threatens Neil with something. she wears skimpy clothes infront of him, and tells him 'let's get started". 30 minutes later he is sweaty and lipstick is on his cheeks. but he swears he did not cheat on his wife. So what was he doing???

A lot of things did not make sense, Like Tom and Mary hiring a PI but then Mary doing what she did out of the blue! we do not get the sence that she is metally unstable?!

Finally, some of the names were really uninventive and force you to concentrate at the beginning to know whom the book is talking about
Neeta , Neil
Tom, Ted
Charlie, Claire
Kay, Keris
I mean, try to at least give the character different alphabet letters!

While I know this is a popular author, this happens to be my first book by this author and now I will be going back and reading all their books! Slater created such an eerie atmosphere full of intrigued. Everyone has a secret, whose secret is going to be revealed first is the question. The tension slowly builds until bam, twist one, and then bam, twist two, and bam, twist three!

Well that was a real humdinger of a read. K.L. Slater is definitely one of the masters of suspenseful reads. Although they are usually of a current theme (ie. someone is hiding something from someone they love and it finally catches up with them) the stories themselves are so different that they are still great to read. Keep up the great work K.L.

Lottie, Neil and Albie are struggling as a family after a terrible year. A move to the coast, and a new job for Neil is just what they need. They are all looking forward to putting the past behind them.

Neil's new employers and wealthy and influential, and it seems that landing a job with them is a real triumph. Not only do they get to live onsite in a beautiful cottage, free to decorate as they please, but they also get almost instant access to the beach.

Ted and Nessa, Neil's employers are charming at first, but Lottie begins to suspect they are not as nice under the surface. She starts to hear rumours from the town, and isn't sure what to believe. She knows that she shouldn't listen to gossip, particularly after the way her own Mother left her when she was younger.

One day Lottie sees what she thinks is a child's face at the window, from her viewpoint at the cottage. Ted and Nessa are adamant that they can't have children, so who did Lottie see? As she begins to learn more about them, she suspects that something is badly wrong up at the 'big house'.

But she doesn't have any proof.

This is where Lottie as a character at times seems a little unhinged to me. Determined to get proof of wrongdoing she does some things that are quite frankly absurd. But then how far would you go to protect your family?

There are lot of secrets in this novel, some exposed almost immediately, and some not until near the ending. I can't say too much more without giving anything away. Although I enjoyed this, I've enjoyed previous works from this author more as I felt they were a little more realistic.

Having said that, we know that the world is made up of all sorts, and I don't deny that some people may act exact like these characters in real life!

What a twisty book! I loved that you had an idea of where the story was heading but it still left you questioning things up until the last few chapters! There was some many turns that kept you keen to read the whole book in as few sittings as possible!

The Bedroom Window is the 6th K.L. Slater book I have read and of course it was another 5 ⭐️ read. From the first to the last page the book was a whirlwind of excitement, anticipation and drama. I know every time I read a K.L. Slater book I say it’s my favourite, but this time I really mean it! The Bedroom Window is full of blindsiding plot twists, mind blowing revelations and a completely explosive and unexpected ending.

The story focuses on Lottie, Neil and their 9 year old son Albie. Two years prior, Neil suffered a terrible work accident which left him unable to work and in dire financial straits. Fast forward two years, Neil has recovered and is offered an amazing job opportunity managing sprawling Seascape gardens. A huge property owned by childless and wealthy couple Tom and Neeta.

Lottie and Neil believe this is the fresh start they need. So they sell their house, pay off their debts and move to a quaint little cottage on the edge of Seascape property.

What could possibly go wrong! At first everything is idyllic. Albie meets a new friend, loves his new school and the property they live on and seems to have been adopted and indulged by Tom and Neeta. Neil is equally as happy and excited to finally get back to work and doing what he loves. However, Lottie can’t quite shake the feeling that something isn’t quite right. Even more so after she discovers a hidden letter written by the previous tenant warning of the dangers of Seascape. This puts Lottie on edge and she begins to spy on Tom and Neeta from the bedroom window of her cottage. What she discovers shocks her! But when Lottie shares her observations with Neil he brushes her off accusing her of being crazy. Lottie feels like she is loosing her family and instead of the positive fresh start she hoped for, life has turned into a downward spiral of destruction, lies and deception.

Thank you so much Bookouture, NetGalley and K.L. Slater for my electronic arc of The Bedroom Window in exchange for my honest review.

Usually books that have a subtitle of something along the lines of “a totally gripping novel,” those types, they never really shock me and I usually guess the end. This was one of those

15 Second Summary: Couple and their son move into a cottage where the husband accepted a job as a grounds keeper / property manager for a large estate. The couple, who is seemingly down on their luck, is looking forward to this opportunity as a fresh start for their family. After meeting the owners of the estate, the wife becomes suspicious of them, what happened to the previous property manager and drives herself into a state of paranoid investigation.

15 Second Review: I found the characters in this book to be really unlikable. Understanding that part of the books plot is to have unreliable characters so you never know who or what to believe, I still like to have someone tolerable to hold my attention. I found this book to drag on for long periods of time without anything happening which made it difficult to want to keep reading. I’ve read other KL books and always find them to be somewhat lacking sustenance. Unfortunately this one fell into that category for me.

I enjoy all of Slater's books and in a way this was no different, however this was one of my least liked books by Slater and that is because it goes on for too long. I did like the premise and this gets off to a good start, the intrigue is built and we know something is going to happen. Then in the middle section onwards, everything becomes a bit laboured and sluggish and I lost interest in the little that was happening.
As I expect from Slater, there are a lot of secrets within this and I enjoyed reading and discovering the many different secrets. Some are more ridiculous than others it has to be said. I also thought the ending was a bit ridiculous which was a shame. Overall, I did enjoy this but I think it would have been sharper had the book been that little bit shorter.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an advance copy.

K.L. Slater never disappoints but this one might be a new favorite by her. The story of a fresh start for this family of three in a gorgeous seaside town was great because you knew that something was questionable with these new employers from the beginning but you weren't sure what. As the book progressed and you got the dual POV it became even more fascinating. I thought the twists were well placed and unexpected though I had an inkling of who was who in the grand scheme of things but didn't know how it would all play out. Overall, another winner from Slater!

I really enjoyed this book, I felt it was a bit of a slow start but it really picked up pace and I just wanted to finish and find out what all happened.
It jumps back and forth a bit to Lottie's childhood and the present. Neil and Lottie are both hiding secrets. Their new start hasn't been quite plain sailing. Neighbours and friends also have secrets.
I would recommend this book. Thank you netgally for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
