So the artwork of this was actually really good. I enjoyed the story for what it was, but I did think it was like 10 pages to long.

This graphic novel@was a super cute read. I really enjoyed the artwork and the storyline was a lovely tale of friendship and discovery. Things start off innocently enough, but when the ritual the group performs has unintended consequences and things take a sinister turn, their friendship is sorely tested but each young woman really comes into her own.

Coven was a really enjoyable coming of age story and I’d be keen to read more if it continues as a series.

All the '90s vibes but in 2023.
Coven starts off with four friends (Lily, Diane, Morgane, Eve) trying to save a tree from being chopped down, So they come up with the awesome idea of trying witchcraft to see if that could help save the tree. Of course, things go great and the tree is saved. However, we all know it doesn’t stop there. With that said things get a little crazy.

When I first started to read Coven it felt very 90’s from the dress to even the decorations in one of the bedrooms. So I was confused as to what time frame we were in until there was a mention of snap chat and the use of cell phones. It did throw me off a bit because there were also posters of The Craft and The Faculty ('90s movies). Someone even mentioned something about Braveheart which I am not too sure what teenagers these days even know about that movie.

Overall I really enjoyed Coven and hope there will be more volumes in the future. The art style was chef kiss and that is the whole reason I wanted to read Coven in the first place. Even the ending had a twist that I did not see coming and even cleared up some things that I questioned. Which helped the coven go from a 3 to a 4 star. I recommend it to anyone who likes the 90’s witchy vibe, a friend group where all the characters have different personalities, and anyone who wants a quick read.

This was a fun witchy read about four girls who perform a ritual to save a beloved tree in the park and accidentally summon a demon instead. The plot is well-paced and a good length, however I would've liked all of the girls to be more fleshed out. Maybe this will happen in future volumes?
I liked the diversity within the group, which included people of colour, one girl having two mums, and another having a crush on a female classmate.
The art was cute and I liked the colour scheme, however some of the drawings felt a bit inconsistent in their style. I liked the posters of Buffy and The Craft popping up in one of the bedrooms, however some of the music references such as Rihanna and Girl in Red may become dated or not picked up on by all readers.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read which could develop into a longer series, however it could do with a bit of polishing to really make it shine.

I love all Halloween/spooky season and witchy things, so this book was right up my alley. Add in some queer characters and its even better!

All of the girls were pretty different. They all had their own styles, personalities and motivations. I liked their friendship. Even through some rough patches (possibly due to magic and witchy natures), they always came together and worked it out.

I wish we got to see more of Eve’s relationship with her crush. As well as her parents. We mostly only saw Lily and her crush’s interactions, but not much of the other girls and their crushes.

There was a little twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. There’s definitely potential for a sequel/s. I would like to read more and see more of their witchy adventures.

I really liked the art style. I loved how they did the colors of background. Some were really bright and striking.

I randomly picked this up because I saw it was available to read now and was about witches. Sign me up! I overall enjoyed this story. I do wish there was more detail into the girls and their relationship. These four girls used to be friends then all of a sudden stopped. They come together again to save this tree that's in their town. I did enjoy reading about them trying to deal with the chaos this demon was trying to invoke. I could definitely see this being a series where each volume they go through the trial and error of being witches. Overall cute witchy read!

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this Graphic novel. I enjoyed each of the girls and their very different personalities. It wraps up pretty nicely, but I would definitely love to see a continuation to the the story. I definitely got a craft vibe from this graphic novel.

This graphic novel follows a group of best friends that fight for nature. One day they find out that the three they all love and cherish is going to be cut down, and they decide to put an end to it. They end up casting a spell and waking up a demon. We follow as the story gets creepier and so fun. Really enjoyed this and the art style was perfection. Will be recommending this to all my friends who love creepy witchy vibes and female friendships.

A wholesome graphic novel about new to magic witches

Four friends discover magic while they try to stop the felling of an old elm tree under which they grew up and share many memories with.

These ladies decide to perform a magic ritual from an old magic book they bought from a thrift store in a fun way. They are surprised to know that it worked and so they explore further.

But magic always has a price to be paid so does this have any consequences too? Read to find out.

I found the story very wholesome and the art very beautiful. It was a fun lil story enveloping friendship, and ofc magic.

I’m a big fan of graphic novels in general, especially ones that feature women and magic. Unfortunately, the art style was a little too rough for my preference, and I had a hard time getting to know who these characters really were. I think the roughness of the plot progression is something graphic novels that start as web comics can have issues with. That being said, I liked the concept and story overall, abd it was a quick, fun read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing a review ebook.

This book can be described as a captivating and slightly eerie read, with a touch of darkness. If you enjoyed the movie 'The Craft,' I believe you would find this book equally intriguing.

Overall, I found it to be a quick and enjoyable read, leaving me eager to dive into the rest of the series.

Coven was fun, I loved getting to know the four girls and their friendship dynamic, and the witchcraft elements were great too. I did feel like there were some parts that were lacking, like fully developing the characters, and I could not tell the different between the teenage boys at all but overall this was definitely worth the read. The ending had a fun twist, and I'm curious to see if there's going to be a sequel, and am looking forward to seeing how the creator's storytelling evolves in the future!

I enjoyed this! I was completely sucked in and this graphic novel held my attention from start to finish. I love witchy themes, spirits, etc. so this was right up my alley. This is a quick read with a really well paced story and wonderful illustrations throughout.

Loved the storyline, loved learning about the lives of the individual girls and really liked the ending. I would definitely read more if this was turned into a series!!

I love a spooky graphic novel. But while this one features a classic plot and an action-packed ending, it just didn’t do it for me. I felt like the characters were trying too hard to be cool, and that made me feel very disconnected from them. I also didn’t really care about the plot of the novel until the very end, so for the majority of the book, I was not very invested. But, our story’s ending is strong enough that if a sequel is ever written, I will definitely be picking it up.

I honestly loved the artwork and story as a whole. The characters were interesting, the plot was intriguing, and the overall spooky vibes of witchcraft held up. It was entertaining enough that I read it in a single sitting!

I will say though now that I've spent a day away from it the graphic novel sort of lost its wonder. Still amazing and fun but not anything I'd go back to a second time. I still really enjoyed it though and honestly the art alone is enough for me to suggest it to others.

This is a witchy graphic novel with a spooky setting/"vibe". In this graphic novel, we start with four teens that dabble in witchcraft to save a tree in their city park. At first, everything is going according to the plan to save this tree. However, that quickly changes and everything starts going wrong.

Coven was an enjoyable quick read. Each character had their own story and background. We also see different communities represented in this graphic novel. I do wish it was longer so I could get to know the characters more. The illustrations were adorable but also showed the reader the personality that each character has.

Four teens dabble in witch craft to do some good, but it turns awry quick as they start seeing things and everything starts going very wrong. I love witchy/spooky comics/manga and I really enjoyed this one! I think it might be one of my favorites this year! I'll definitely be rereading and buying a copy for Halloween TBR. It was a really fun, quick read. The characters were so cool and I loved each of them with their own unique depths and personalities. I loved the lgbtq+ representation in this book as well as the diversity, we don't get a lot of this in books and it was really refreshing. The art was so cool and I enjoyed every page of it, again, one of my favorites. I would absolutely love more of these characters from this author!

In this graphic novel, we are following four teenage girls that decide to use witchcraft in order to save the big elm tree in their city park. Everything goes according to plan, until they start seeing strange visions of bad things happening, and they realize that something went wrong.

I enjoyed my time reading this! It was a quick and easy read. The characters were well-developed and stood out in their own unique way. I loved the lgbtq+ representation in this book as well as the diversity. Also, I really liked the art style and how we could see the characters personalities through their style. Overall, I liked the story and how it showed the power and importance of friendship.

I have 2 negatives to say about this book. First, I would've liked to spend more time with each individual character. We never spent much time with just one character, and I would've loved to get to know them more as individuals than in their friend group. Lastly, I would've liked to know more about how they got into witchcraft.

All that being said, if this story turns into a series, I'd love to pick up the next one!

The art style is a bit odd but at the story is pretty cool. Its short and fast paced. Very enjoyable.
