This didn’t work for me. I think there is absolutely an audience that would connect to these poems but it was a tough collection for me to get through. I felt completely disconnected from the subject matter and it hindered my ability to really get into the poems.

Thank you NetGalleg for the chance to read and review this.

I wish I could like this but I honestly felt so meh when reading this collection. I don’t think it’s a bad one necessarily, just not for me and really hard to get into.

In a unique situation here. I didn't connect with this book that much, and this isn't Bolin's first poetry book, so my brain says that that's because of Bolin's skill level. Add in that this is one of those books that needed the formatting run before the digital arc was submitted (bc form is pretty inherent to poetry), and I'm left in a spot of being pretty ehh on this, but it's not solely because of the formatting, and this isn't Bolin's first book, so I'm left to be pretty eh about it.

Binary and yet visceral - this poetry collection was like walking through a post-nuclear disaster site knowing full well you’re at risk of exposure but the regrowth of nature all around is too beautiful to ignore. Really enjoyed this cohesive collection of poems for times both current, past, and repeated future.
