I wanted to like this story but I just couldn’t get into it. This story might be popular with other readers. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.

I was going to give this book 4 stars however, I was thinking back on some stuff in the book. It was honestly not the best. There are moments where the characters are just really bad people. While I would say this is a book to read for teens. This is not one of those. The idea is there, however the way it plays out is not the way to go.

This one just wasn't for me. It read very young, which made it hard for me to connect to the FMC. Also, Noah's personality was irritating. She gave me "I'm not like other girls energy" and I just didn't vibe with her as a character. Same with Nick. He gave off more unnecessarily mean than dark MMC. Finally, I don't mind a good age gap. But, Noah being seventeen put me off.

*Thank you to Netgalley and Bloom Books*

If I’m being honest it wasn’t my favorite read. I really wasn’t Vibing with the characters. I wanted to DNF; but I pushed through for the ending. Which I wasn’t surprised by at all. I would give this read a 2/5. I would have loved a plot twist; or even a different ending that wasn’t so easily predicted.

If you can put yourself in a mental place where you can withstand the poor writing style, whinny self obsessed narrators then this book may be for you. While I knew going into the book it was based on a Wattpad story I figured the story would have underwent some editing before it took it's final form as a novel. Unfortunately, that does not seem to be the case here. The two main characters Noah (seventeen/female), and Nick (twenty-two/male) have inner monologues and behave as though they are thirteen instead of adults.

“I couldn’t go home; I didn’t know how I’d act. One part of me, the perverted one, the one that clearly didn’t need my head to think, wanted to grab that girl with her blond hair and honey-colored eyes and do it all to her, make her pay for losing my most treasured possession; the other wanted to make her afraid to even be near me, to even breathe too loudly when I was in the room.”

I also think I should read the description of the book before I read it because then I would have known that this is a step sibling romance not only that but I can't with this book Nick is such a huge piece of shit and Noah is so annoying.

I really wish they didn't have a happy ending because no matter how much I hate Noah, Nick doesn't deserve her or better, they don't deserve each other
