Unfortunately this book didn’t for work out for me. I found it hard to engage with the characters and the story,

Thank you to TBR and Beyond book tours and G.P. Putnam's Sons for the arc.

I couldn't get past the first chapter. I didn't vibe with the writing style and I couldn't get into the story. I instantly disliked Elisha as her motives seem weird and her possession over the house she doesn't actually own felt odd even if she had such a connection to it.

This was a cute and spicy holiday read! It reminded me of a Hallmark movie.. Ves is from New York and has to sell his aunt’s house in Piney Peaks. Elisha has been watching over the house but also needs to use it for a movie production that she’s involved in. However, she needs the Ves’s permission. Grumpy/sunshine

I enjoyed getting to know all the characters! Cute Christmas-themed read.

Wrapped with a Beau was picked for one of our store book clubs. It was an easy, feel-good holiday read. The group and myself enjoyed the book.

While I really wanted to enjoy "Wrapped with a Beau," I felt something was missing from the holiday magic. Piney Peaks sounded like an adorable town and reminded me a lot of the small towns nearby where I live! However; I wasn't a believer in the romance between Elisha and Ves. The audio narrators weren't my favorite either, which likely didn't help my reading experience. I do hope to read another Lillie Vale in 2024.

Thank you PRH audio and Putnam for my alc/ earc in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own !

This was just like a spicy Hallmark Christmas movie and exactly what I wanted to read at this time of year! It wasn’t anything unique or memorable but it was fun and cute and delivered exactly what you’d expect

Wow. Where do I start? This lovely visit to Piney Peaks was the absolute best way to start my holiday season. The romance in this story is precious, grumpy sunshine, and slight enemies to lovers. You really see the characters get to know each other and form a genuine connection, all while enjoying the cutest Christmas activities! I loved seeing the growth from each character, it warmed my heart! I would recommend this to readers who love small town and cozy romance! The humor was a plus, as well as the amazingly written spicy scenes! 5 stars! :)

Wrapped with a Beau is a cute, small town, grumpy/sunshine. holiday romcom with some charm and surprise spice. I enjoyed it but I didnt love it. I liked the characters just fine and the story was cute, but some things just seemed to come out of nowhere and was almost jarring with the appearance. Personally, I would have liked a little more on the second half of the romance and maybe more about Elisha since I feel like I dont entirely know her still after reading it.

This one felt really slow for me. I couldn’t get into it as much as I liked to and took me so long to read.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I was able to find the audio version through my local library.
Huh well who doesn't look forward to a Christmas book this time of year. The cover is very cute and whimsical.
But I just couldn't even finish the novel. I really wanted to like this. The whole plot is a Hallmark type story plot BUT the language is absolutely disgusting. The F word is thrown around like crazy. Why would the author do this? It doesn't fit with this type of book. And let's not forget the racist remark at the beginning of the book about white men. Disgusting feminist liberal crap. No thank you.

Thank you for the gifted copy of Wrapped with a Beau.

Well, this one started out strong...

Enemies to friends to lovers, fake dating, a douchy ex boyfriend, small Christmassy town...Sounds perfect, right? I loved the sort of meet cute between Ves and Elisha, and their banter was pretty entertaining throughout the book. Elisha is a movie liaison and the sequel to Sleighbells, a super popular Christmas movie from years ago, is set to start filming in the Christmas House.. The owner of the house has passed away and the house is left to her great nephew (Ves), who initially doesn't want the filming done there. He changes his mind once he gets to know Elisha, but says as soon as the filming is wrapped up he's selling the house and moving back to NYC.

The town seemed absolutely adorable, and I want to go there immediately. Elisha's family was so sweet to Ves, and I just wanted to hug Grandpa Dave!

However, this one went downhill for me once the "enemy" part switched to "lovers".. I'm all about an open door scene, but the dialogue was cringey and just seemed so unnatural. It's almost like a different author wrote the last few chapters.

Overall though, a fun Christmas read! Would have been 4 stars but the last few chapters brought it down.

This is a charming Christmas romance about a fictional Hallmark movie filming in a small town called Piney Peaks. “Sleighbells”, a very well known movie was filmed there, and the production company wants to use the same locations they did 50 years ago to film the sequel, especially the Christmas house.

Elisha is the film coordinator for Piney Peaks and she’s trying to get permission to film at Christmas house. Unfortunately, the original beloved owner recently died, and her nephew Ves who inherited the house won’t sign. He wants to sell the house and get back to NYC. Elisha is very frustrated because she knows that the original owner was in the movie and loved it.

Elisha and Ves got off on the wrong foot, she thought he was a burglar at first but now that they’re getting to know each other sparks are flying. Maybe Ves isn’t in such a hurry to get back to the city after all.
Cute opposites attract and enemies to lovers tropes, 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

Alright I’m giving this a little bit lower of a spice rating because we don’t get much more than kissing until about 70-75% of the way in (which was a long wait!). This is by no means a closed-door romance though, in fact it’s very very open.😏

Elisha meets an unsuspecting Ves when she believes he’s breaking into the home across the street from her neighbor Maeve. Elisha doesn’t realize Ves is Maeve’s great nephew, and the man who inherited the house after she passed, until she’s hitting him with an outdoor candy cane decoration. As if that encounter isn’t enough, he’s also the (very hot) man she needs approval from if she ever wants her beloved movie sequel to film in her town. When he says no, Elisha will do anything to change his mind…even if it means using her towns charms to their advantage.

This book has it all:
▫️enemies to lovers
▫️small town romance
▫️found family
▫️witty banter
▫️fake dating

I mean, need I say more!? If you’re looking for the perfect Christmas read this season I HIGHLY suggest this one!

Wrapped with a Beau hit the spot as a cute, grumpy-meets-sunshine, holiday romance. The setting was right out of a Hallmark movie, and the supporting characters add quirk to the small town while giving the main characters some depth and room to grow. I loved that there was no miscommunication or relationship issue induced breakup, but I found the stop and start nature of the relationship incredibly frustrating. I mean they practically tear each other’s clothes off in one moment and then spend days together without so much as a kiss. I don’t buy it. Despite that, I enjoyed it for what it was: a cozy holiday read.

This was a delightful Christmas read. It had everything you want out of a cozy, Christmas romance. Cheesy, sweet, funny and a bunch of fun and quirky characters.

After a string of meh holiday reads WRAPPED WITH A BEAU was just what I needed. The meet cute in this book is perfection and so is the grumpy + sunshine pair in this story.

I loved Ves and Elisha so much! He is perfectly closed off and she is all holiday cheer and nostalgia. The parts of their past that weaves them together is super sweet and their chemistry is off the charts.

I took off a star from my rating because the parts of WRAPPED WITH A BEAU that included Elisha and her ex fiance were extremely weird and had no real resolution. Yes, Elisha eventually tells him off, but the man is MARRIED now and Elisha is getting chummy with his wife and also kinda of warning the wife about the ex. But....they are MARRIED. And we never get an explanation for why the ex is acting so weird. The whole storyline was not at all well executed.

But that issue didn't keep me from really enjoying WRAPPED WITH A BEAU. It's a great holiday read with small town charm, sweet moments, and a hot storage room make-out.

I absolutely loved this book! It was a quick and cheerful read!
I loved the main characters Elisha and Ves. Elisha was strong, independent, and funny.
The small town setting was cozy and the holiday events were fun. It was the type of place you wanted to live.
I can't wait to read more by this author! I highly recommend reading this festive and lovable book!

Wrapped with a Beau was one of my first holiday reads of 2023 and it got me so excited for the season. I don't typically like Hallmark/Christmas movies, but I do love reading books like them. I loved the concept of a holiday house and the meaning of said house to the town, and the "grumpy" family member moving in to take over. Elisha and Ves were really cute together, and I was so happy to escape into their world for a bit.

I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.

Wrapped With a Beau stands out as one of the better Christmas romance releases of 2023! I enjoyed the small town set up and the found family elements, and thought the two leads had good chemistry. I listened to the first half on audiobook, which is narrated by Keylor Leigh and Sean Patrick Hopkins. They brought a lot of heart to the characters which I enjoyed. I wanted a little more character development for both of them, but overall this was a lovely Christmas read.

I voluntarily read an early copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I am a huge Lillie Vale fan. Maybe because we share the same first name - albeit with different spellings. But Wrapped with a Beau is spicy and swoony. It's my favorite of Vale's adult romances and it's a holiday one too so perfect for the upcoming season. We love a good disaster meet cute and getting caught maybe breaking into a house? That may just take the cake. We also hate when an ex shows up determined to have 'changed' and entirely wrapped up in showing off. So you know I fell in love with Wrapped with a Beau.
