I always love this author’s books and this was no exception. A fantastic psychological thriller which had me hooked from start to finish.

25 years ago Mel’s and two of her friends went to the woods late at night one of them went missing. There was no clues to what had happened and she has never been found. Now Mel has moved back to the area with her husband and baby daughter. When Mel arrives strange things start to happen she feels she is being followed. Then her other best friend goes missing. Is history repeating itself? Is Mel and her family in danger?

Fantastic thriller with so many twists and turns. Highly recommend this to everyone who loves a thriller which will have you hooked.

I love this Authors books always an addictive read. This did not disappoint. Mel and her two friends where in the wood's New Year's Eve twenty-five years ago. only Mel and Gabbie only ones to come out that night. Erin was never found. Mel only goes back to Laurel Street for the Anniversary. but her grandmother passed away. and leaves the house to Mel and her mum. Mel is married now and with a young baby. Gabbie and Mel always blamed Joe for Erin. Gabbie and her husband now live in Laurel Street to bought the big Estate. but Gabbie is not happy and then one night she disappears. It's so good you won't want to stop reading.

The Party on Laurel Street by Ruth Heald is another riveting page-turner from a master of domestic and psychological suspense.

Mel is returning to the Laurel Street home where she grew up with her grandmother. With a family of her own now, she hopes that she can put the past behind her and make some happy memories on the street where there was once heartache. As children, Mel and her friends Gabbie and Erin took a midnight feast into the woods, but only Mel and Gabbie would return. Twenty five years later, it is Gabbie who is now missing, and Laurel Street is once again at the centre of a mystery.

This one kept me up late into the night, and I was desperate to know just what had happened to Mel's friends, both in the past and present. The twists will have your head spinning.

This is one of those rare books that will literally have your jaw on the floor and you'll still be thinking about the twists, even after you've finished!

Such an amazing thriller. I loved the characters, they were all well written and fully fleshed out. Their lives and interactions were so natural and believable and I was completely invested in what had happened and what was going to happen next!

There is an air of mystery throughout and you never quite know who to trust. The writing style just flows so effortlessly and carries the reader through the story at a really good pace.

And as for the twists....... OMG! They're just perfect and you'll never see them coming

The last few chapters of this book had me reeling. I had well formed whodunit theories or so I thought but I did not see that ending coming at all, just wow!

The author did a fantastic job crafting a suspenful twisty plot that will have you wondering who you can really trust.

Good book! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, intrigue, murder, mystery, A great who done it, and some crazy twists and turns that I never would have guessed! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!

They often say that history repeats itself and it's often very true. Sometimes it are happy events like a music style or an item of clothing that comes back in fashion, but it can be rather unpleasant, devastating things too.

Years ago a young girl went missing in the woods in this village and the neigbours were all shocked. They hoped the girl would be found safe and sound or would come back on her own, but sadly nothing happened.

Now 25 years later, a woman disappears living on the same street and being one of the girl's best friend. Are these things connected? Is the same person responsible? Who can be trusted and who do you really know?

Sometimes people hide things to protect others, but are they doing the those people a favor or do they make it worse in the end?

Honesty will get you anywhere, but sometimes it's hard to chose between a rock and a hard place. Parents should teach their children to do the right thing, shouldn't they? It's easier said than done, because, frankly, I don't know what I would do if I were to find myself in this situation. It's simple to judge, right...

I thought this was a great and very entertaining story. I did not see this coming and that's what I love about a book: to make me believe on thing or start thinking in a certain direction to blow me away by the outcome. Perfect. :) 

So many people were hurt, but now that the truth has surfaced, they can start healing. 5 stars
