Snowed In for Christmas is a cute Christmas story about Sorority mom Becca and Harrison, the university's football coach. Overall, I liked the story as it was a cute, fluffy, holiday romance. It wasn't anything earth shattering, and in places I felt like the pacing or maybe the research was off. It just seemed a little disjointed and not believable, but at the same time, when I'm looking for holiday romances, I'm willing to suspend disbelief to a certain extent. It was an enjoyable read and while I wouldn't shout about it from the rooftops, I think its a deserving one.

I received a copy of this from Netgally in exchange for an honest and fair review.

This was such a cute and very steamy holiday romance! This book has all the best tropes in it. There’s grumpy x sunshine, opposites attract, and forced proximity. This book felt more like it was wintery vs a Christmas read, but it was the perfect read for the winter season! This book deals with some serious moments, as well as family drama! It’s an open door romance with dual POV. If you’re looking for a great winter read, I recommend checking this one out!

3.5 Rounded Up

I received an advanced copy of Snowed In For Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe from the publisher Forever via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

What It’s About: Sorority mom Becca Fairfield is used to no one really taking her seriously, but she knows what she brings to the table and is tired of the dismissals, so she’s put dating aside to focus on her job. Now that the holidays are approaching, Becca is ready to enjoy two weeks on her own staying cozy and drinking cocoa and reading books. But then the blizzard comes and it is HUGE. The power goes out and temperatures are freezing, without heat or enough wood, Becca is forced to seek shelter in her neighbor’s house, Harrison Cooper. Harrison is a football coach and huge grump, and to make matters worse, Becca and he went on a date and had a steamy kiss, but Harrison ghosted her. So what will happen when they are snowed in, freezing, and with nothing to do?

What I Loved: I actually really liked the chemistry here. I thought that Harrison and Becca had a lot of chemistry and I bought into this chemistry. They are both delightful and though Harrison is kind of a jerk, he owns it and this is the best way to overcome a ghosting; no real excuses. I truly appreciated how these two connected while snowed in, it was really quite lovely. I also liked seeing Becca know her worth, and that she makes a difference despite a lot of judgement. Becca is an excellent character.

What I Didn’t Like: Two things that didn’t work, the scale of instalove. It was unbelievable that given their history, they were ready to fully commit and get married and such, it just seemed like more time would be needed. The second problem is the miscommunication, it doesn’t even really make sense for either of them and I think the book would be better without the miscommunication and more focus on building the relationship.

Who Should Read It: People who love snowed in trope. People who like instalove.

Summary: After being ghosted, a woman is snowed in with the man in question.

Enjoyed the possibly neurodivergent main character and I especially liked that it wasn’t labeled. We can be different without a label and normal isn’t labeled so I like that we got to know Becca for more than a label.

Snowed in for Christmas is a sweet forced-proximity romance featuring a Becca and Harrison, two quirky, misunderstood folks who find that perhaps the other is the only one who truly understands them.

As always, I’m a sucker for a found family trope and this one is no exception. It’s wonderful to see them slowly uncover that their differences are what make them so compatible.

As this book features a romantic portrayal of physical intimacy without consent, i can’t give it more than 3 stars. However, i am excited to see what this author does next!

Snowed In for Christmas was a steamy holiday read but was overtaken by the miscommunication trope. I find the miscommunication trope frustrating, which affects my enjoyment of reading this book. I'm sure others will enjoy this book.

My favorite Christmas book of 2023. I am a sucker for the one bed trope so I knew that I was going to love this one. Will be looking for more books from Jaqueline Snowe.

It took me a while to connect to Becca and Harrison. And I am almost never a fan of miscommunication in a romance. Luckily I spent a lot of time at the beginning of the novel while I waffled on whether I liked the MCs trying to figure out what happened after their first date.

I was a fan of the spice in this one and finally came around rooting for the two to work out their differences for their HEA.

I am here for leading ladies who are bold, loud, quirky, and 'too much' for the world. They make the most interesting to follow along with. Becca is all of these things, she is the definition of 'sunshine' in the sunshine vs grumpy trope and her hot grumpy neighbor fits the bill for the grumpy side of it.

The evolution of the relationship was cute, I love a forced proximity trope and a major snow storm was the perfect excuse to get these two snuggled up and cozy. Harrison had quite a few layers to his character that peeled back and revealed that inner cinnamon roll and I'm so thankful for it because *swoon*.

Holiday romance reads are always a quick and cozy read and this one hits the mark.

This was a super cute and super steamy holiday romance. It was perfect to read on a cold, dark night. It was my first work by this author, but I will be reading more.

I received an ARC from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was such a cute fun read and perfect for January reading since it starts with a snow storm! Becca and Harrison are complete opposites and absolutely perfect for each other! Two years ago Becca and Harrison went on a date and it was great, so why did Harrison ghost her after that??? Fast forward to now and the couple is stuck in a house together with a blizzard outside, flames ignite!! Thank you Read Forever for the book to read and review!!

Snowed In For Christmas by Jaqueline Snowe is filled with one of my favorite holiday troupes: two characters who are total opposites get snowed in together during the holiday season. It was SO good! From the moment of their first interaction, Becca and Harrison had me hooked and wanting more to develop between them. Luckily for me that is exactly what happened.

Becca and Harrison went on one date two years ago which ended in a steamy kiss and no further communication from Harrison. Since then things have been a little awkward between them when they see each other in passing usually as awkward neighbors. Becca is a sorority house mother meaning that she lives near the college campus being like an older sister/mentor to all the girls who live in the house with her. Harrison is the college football coach and lives right next door to the sorority house. So even though they haven't spoke about their date in two years, these two characters have not had the easiest time avoiding each other.

Every time Becca and Harrison are in each others presence, there are sparks flying between them. I love how unapologetically herself Becca is as a character. She loves books and is filled with the most random of facts which she often blurts out when she is nervous. Meanwhile, Harrison is a prickly character. On the surface he is very abrasive and is used to pushing people away. He doesn't like to get close to others as he has gotten burnt one too many times in the past. Both characters get to learn more about each other as they spend time snowed in together at Harrison's place and quickly learn not everything is exactly as it seems on the surface.

Becca and Harrison's dynamic is filled with banter and chemistry and their connection quickly gets steamy which I loved. Yet there is so much more going on between them than just steam. Spending them together helps each other grow and stand up for themselves. Harrison realizes that it is okay to let others into his life while Becca realizes that there are people out there that will accept her exactly as she is bubbly flaws and all. These characters are so good together! Highly recommend checking out their snowed in journey together!

What an adorable steamy romance perfect for a winter weekend read.

Sorority ”mom” Becca and “grumpy” football coach Harrison next door neighbors. They even dated once upon a time which was disastrous. So things between these two neighbors have been a bit awkward over the past few years but it is the Holidays now. All of the sorority girls have gone home for the holiday break and Becca is going to have a few weeks to herself. That is until the winter storm of the century occurs. The power goes out and Becca has no heat. Luckily for Becca, Harrison comes over to check on her and they end up trekking through the blizzard back to his house where he has firewood and food. Temperature are expected to get way below zero so Becca and Jamison do the best to keep each other warm. Since they end up being in very close quarters for a few days, things start to heat up between them. The attraction becomes impossible to ignore. Will they take it to the next level? Will they survive this unbelievable storm and make it past the holidays or will it just be snowed in romance.

This was a sweet book to read. I laughed and yelled both out frustration at these two emotional dysfunctional characters. This would make perfect Hallmark Holiday Movie minus the spicy scenes for Hallmark.

I appreciate books with leads with interesting jobs & this one delivered on that with the heroine being a house mom for a sorority house.

Snowed In For Christmas is great for fans of…
❄️ Forced Proximity
❄️ Second Chance Romance
❄️ Snowed In Blizzard Romance

I found it interesting that this pair had gone on a great date two years prior that led to nowhere. So, they had a somewhat rocky foundation & terrain to build this forced proximity of a situation on. It is an important reminder to never judge someone based on snap judgements & a simple talk of getting to know one other can make all the difference. Forced proximity is such a fun trope & I love the idea of having a terrifying blizzard to create the circumstances.

If you’re looking for a cute & spicy, wintry romance, Snowed In For Christmas is a lovely recommendation.

Massive thanks to NetGalley & Forever Publishing for the gifted copy, which I voluntarily read & reviewed.

Health problems got me behind on my reviews & I sincerely apologize for the delay. I’m always grateful for a chance to read/review a Forever book.

I honestly feel like I read this book at the wrong time. I was so burnt out by holiday books by the time I got to this one and therefore I felt like I lost interest. This one is tough to review!

As a whole, I would say this is a solid holiday romance. There wasn’t anything too unique to it, but it still had its enjoyable side. The book focuses on two neighbors being trapped together during a big storm, hence the forced proximity.

I also wasn’t expecting this story to be as steamy as it was, which I actually ended up enjoying. There’s a lot of banter between the characters too. The book itself was so quirky and quick!

Again, I got burnt out from reading Christmas books by the time I read this one, so I didn’t get that Christmas feeling I wanted. I also felt like the book was trying too much at the beginning. The chemistry between the characters felt forced at first, it took a while for me to actually care for them.

Overall, I enjoyed the idea behind the book and the forced proximity. The drama was so fun and the ending was swoony! I ended up enjoying the grumpy/sunshine combo with these characters and it was still a fun read, I just read it at the wrong moment.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Forever for the review copy in exchange for my honest review!

I am so sorry but I was not a fan of this one. I love a cheesy Christmas romance, but this was too much for me. There was basically zero character development, the love story happened way too fast, super unnecessary dramatic third act that was so out of pocket, side characters who acted like they were 13, need I say more? I feel like the plot had potential but everything happened way too fast and seemed so unrealistic. Rushed through this one just so I could be done with it.

I found this book to be a cute, quick read! So quick, however, that I couldn’t really feel a connection with either MC. I would have loved to get to know them and their backgrounds just a bit more. The grumpy/sunshine trope is always a favorite of mine and this book definitely nailed it! It also had the perfect amount of spice and their banter made it all the better. I enjoyed this book overall, it just left me wanting more.

A contemporary romance filled with a fun grumpy sunshine trope. A grumpy football coach and a sunshine sorority mom are complete opposites and yet they prove that opposites attract. Becca and Harrison start a spicy romance after they are snowed in together when a blizzard arrives and the power is knocked out. In order to stay warm they must stay together and they truly figure out ways to make their own heat! But will they build on their new relationship when the snow goes away or will they just stay "blizzard buddies" with warm benefits?

This is a cute winter romance filled with EMS communication. Becca is a caring house mom but she is full of insecurities while Harrison keeps his distance from caring relationships due to trust issues. They worked perfectly together and although the storyline is predictable it is written in a realistic and fun way. The chemistry between the characters is undeniable.

This book is a fun way to keep warm on a cold winter night!

I am voluntarily writing this honest review and I am grateful to Forever Publishing and Netgalley for the opportunity to read a complimentary digital copy of this lighthearted and fun book.

I waited to read this one until I was in the "Christmas mood" and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed this story and Becca and Harrison were great examples of opposites attract.
