I love the Marrs family so I was ABSOLUTELY down for this book. From the first page I was reminded why I believe if we met we would for sure be best friends. What an amazing book! I loved the stories and pictures. All of it.

This book is very pretty; the photographs work so well with the prose. Everything flows and I love the essential idea of homemaking. This would be a gorgeous coffee table book or a gift for a new home owner!

Well loved HGTV host, Jenny Marrs, shares with us her home, family, photos, many of the homes she and her husband, Dave, have decorated and her philosophy of how the home needs to express those who live there.

You will want to have this on your reading list for an interesting look into the life of this famous home decorator.

I loved it. Being a big fan of "Fixer to Fabulous" and "Fixxer Upper" this was just a nice insight in everything Jenny Marrs is up to. Beautiful pictures and most of all I was intrigued by her personal stories in this nice book. Thank you.

Do you like Dave & Jenny Marrs from HGTV? If so, then you should definitely buy this book! Jenny walks you through how to make your house a place for YOU and your family. She highlights 12 areas of the home to concentrate on to give you a place to start. This is a great book and one that I will continue to use for years to come.

As far as home decorating books go, this is a nice book. A pleasant book. The designs are clean, uncluttered, earth-toney, and kind of boring. There really wasn't one thing in this book I haven't seen in MANY OTHER decorating books. Oh, except the author's kids. There are lots, and lots of pictures of the author's kids.

I have received an advance copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Have you ever visited one of those cooking blogs? The kind where you must scroll through an essay about grandma before getting to the recipe for her cookies? This book is that blog.

The recipes (I mean, decor ideas) are fabulous, if sometimes wildly out of any reasonable middle-class decorator's price range. However, some chapters had a great deal of personal information that I didn't feel like I had signed up for.

I thought this was going to be a guide to transform my own space, given that's what the synopsis said! But it's mostly a memoir, interspersed with "best of" highlights and occasional project how-to's and design tips. It's all right for what it is, but I was expecting more action, less reflection.

Part memoir and part decorating book, the book focuses on projects the Marrs have done. It includes tips for decorating, comments from Dave Marrs, and some projects to make yourself.

This is the perfect book for fans of the Marrs’ special brand of warmth, fun, faith, not to mention the renovation know-how they share in their HGTV show. The pages are filled with gentle feel-good stories that make you feel like goodness is possible and home can be a place of peace and happiness. A really lovely book.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing a copy of this book.

Just like the author herself, House + Love = Home encompasses so many things. The book is part home design and how-to, part heartfelt memoir, and part personal testimony. The book is divided into sections (I.e. front porch, gathering spots, private retreat, etc.) accompanied by Jenny’s personal relationship to those areas, along with decorating details and tips. Photographs throughout are authentic and gorgeous.

House + Love = Home is honest and full of realness. It will make a lovely gift for the special friends in your life.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced copy. Opinions are my own.

I love to watch the Mars on HGTV. I was thrilled to receive this e-book ARC from NetGalley, The Mars, and their publisher.

I devoured this book in almost one setting. I couldn't put it down. The photography is stunning. The chapters are broken done into short reasonably themed chapters. Pictures certainly add class to the text and bring in so much beauty. I think the advice and tips are doable for anyone of any skill set whether or newbie or those that have been around the block a few times. I ws inspired to try a gew new things in my home. My home does not need to look like theirs or any of the they ones they feature, but can offer inspiration to anyone.

What a great book! I can't wait to get my own hardback copy when this is released. I loved seeing more of the inside of Dave and Jenny's life, in both pictures and stories. Thanks to the publisher and netGalley for the chance to check this out early.

I loved this book ! The pictures were very bright and beautiful, and helped this book stand out form all other books on home improvement and decoration. I loved the renters-friendly decorating advice - it's quite hard to find a book on home decoration that doesn't just include things such as "break down the walls to let in more light!" but also has renter-friendly suggestions to make your (rented) house feel more like a home. I could see myself asking for a copy of this book as a gift!

I LOVED this book! I have many books about the home. How to make it cozy, how to brighten it. How to decorate so it is homier. This one was great and stood out! The pictures were amazing. There were how to's for different projects and had step by step instructions. Seriously so good! I loved this whole book! I will be referring to it for years!

I’ve never seen the Marrs’ show on HGTV, but that didn’t stop me from falling for their family in Jenny’s new book. She shares openly about their struggles and what it means to build a meaningful home. The pictures are beautiful, and Jenny comes across as an inspiration and a friend.

Fabulous Book! Anyone who enjoys the Marr's television show, "Fixer to Fabulous" will absolutely love this book! Of all the HGTV stars, Dave and Jenny Marrs seem like the most authentic, down home & talented of the network. And their family centered life is admirable and sets an example for the rest of us. This book takes the television show and expands on it exponentially! We learn so much more about why Jenny comes to her design and decorating decisions. And Dave! Master of the unexpected in building personal items for his clients! The book also delves into the personal life of the family, the triumphs and the tragedies. Very, very well written and touching. I'm left with the desire to pick up roots and move to Bentonville so that the Marr's can build my dream home! Highly recommend!

A beautifully written book .I liked how even though Jenny might be known for home renovations and design that this wove the story of their family. How they grew it, the heartache they endured and how it even weaves its way into their work. If you love HGTV and home reno and design this book will not disappoint with so many cool projects. Be prepared to also learn about their family, farm, children and their charitable work.

In "House + Love = Home: A Journey of Design, Family, and Resilience," Jenny Marrs, known for her role in HGTV's Fixer to Fabulous, opens her heart and home to readers. This beautifully photographed book goes beyond design guidance, as Jenny shares the intimate details of her life, including her relationship with husband Dave, the challenges of starting a family, the difficult birth of their premature twins, and their years-long adoption journey to bring their daughter Sylvie home. Through this memoir, Jenny emphasizes that love and resilience are the key ingredients in creating a meaningful and inviting home. It is more than just a decorating and designing book; it is a heartfelt memoir that reveals the profound impact of love and resilience on the creation of a meaningful home. With stunning photography, accessible design advice, and personal anecdotes, Jenny Marrs invites readers to reimagine their living spaces as reflections of their own stories and dreams. This coffee table book is sure to be treasured and revisited time and again, offering inspiration for both design enthusiasts and those seeking to cultivate a deeper sense of home.
