This was such a good book, it started off a bit slow (a slow burn) and then it got to the chemistry when they loved to hate each other
We have the sassy kinda Sunshine and the Grump
A Runaway bride meets a former groom left at the alter.... what could happen here
Imogen is on her honeymoon
Easton is her fishing instructor - And this is where it all starts.
Sooooo much flirty banter and sassy, soooo much fun on this alone honeymoon, then they make a deal to help each other out in a few life events
I could not get enough of these two. I just couldn't stop reading and reading bc every page had more and more things that just sucked me in and needed more.
I love the pull you feel from the beginning even after a few mishaps along the way. I love how Easton steps in a saves Imogen from being alone doing all the couple's activities on her honeymoon.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. Now I need to go back and read the rest of the books in the series.
So in conclusion this is a must-read book
I am soooo glad that I got this ARC and am thankful to the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read it. The review above is my own, honest, and voluntary.

The heroine decided to call off her wedding and go to her "honeymoon" at a luxury wilderness resort by her lonesome self. She meets the hero when he woke her up for a fishing lesson that she had signed up for as part of the "honeymoon" experience. The hero had been dumped at the altar in the past and is a grouch during the "Honeymoon Week" where his side gig is located. The hero and the heroine may not have hit it off quite well, but there is definitely an underlying attraction between them. As time passed by, will the hero and the heroine have a happy ending of their own when their pasts have such a strong hold in their views of love?

This is the third book in the GETTING HITCHED series by Cindi Madsen. Though the story focused on a main couple, the appearances of secondary characters from previous books enriched the book. The book can be read by itself, but for a better view of the series, the series should be read in order. Along with the human characters, the series have animal companions that makes each book an entertaining read. The romance may be quick in this book, but it works in the sense that the beginning of the couple's relationship began in a setting that said romance would have not been a normal one anyway. I would have enjoyed some more details in the story that would have given the story the finishing touch in my eyes. However, even my personal preference for more details wasn't a detriment to my enjoyment of the book. The author has a writing style that I enjoy, and I look forward to reading more Cindi Madsen books in the future.

I struggled to get into this one. It felt like barely anything happened a quarter way thru, then it just took off for me. I ended up enjoying it much more than I thought, by the way it started. I read Just One of the Groomsmen, which I loved, but I missed book #2, so with some of the poker talk, I felt a little left out. I'm glad I stuck it out, and will continue the series, if more books come about. I definitely want to go back and read the book I missed. I loved how this ended, it was just so sweet and perfect.

I loved Catch and Release Groom, although I did not read the other books in this series.

Imogen is a runaway bride who broke off her engagement because she knew it would have been a mistake to marry her childhood sweetheart. She did not expect to go on her honeymoon alone after giving up on her dream honeymoon in Rome. She's determined to figure out her new life post-breakup while on this trip.

Easton is jilted groom who still has a lot of resentment about being left at the altar, leading him to judge Imogen harshly at first. When they first meet, they don't exactly hit it off. They are both attracted to each other, but there is also a lot of annoyance there. They can't decide whether they want to throttle each other or find the nearest bed. That makes their agreement to be in a fake relationship extremely fun. I loved the slow burn of them getting to know each other and seeing past their preconceived notions about each other. Easton's puppy Gator was soo cute throughout the whole book.

I liked Easton's friend group and how supportive they were throughout the book, and they were not afraid to call him on his bs.

The one thing that irked me was that I would have loved to get a bit more time focused on the resolution. Easton plans his grand gesture with a few of Imogen's friends, and I would have loved to get a bit of him discussing this plan with his friends or even her friends. I would have liked Imogen not immediately to accept his apology without a bit of pushback. She was working on standing up for herself for the whole book, only for her to cave at the end.

Overall I loved the book, and I want to thank Turn the Page Tours and Entangled Publishing for providing me with an ARC copy of this book for my honest review.

Imogen Kaplan called off her wedding one month ago but decided to go on her planned honeymoon since she couldn't get her money back. Imagine her surprise when she is woken up VERY early the first morning by Easton Reeves, her fishing guide. At least the guy is drop dead gorgeous! Imogen has never fished and it clearly shows! ;) So far being a single woman on a week trip designed for only honeymooners is the pits. The one nice part.....Easton keeps showing up. After one horrible dinner, Easton comes to her rescue which gives Imogen an idea....he can pretend to be her husband for all of the "couple" activities and she can help him out by being his plus one at his ex's wedding. Of course the more time these two spend together, the more their chemistry burns until the fire gets out of control and they give into the heat. Both Imogen and Easton know that this is just a temporary thing, but each of them secretly wishes is were more permanent. Just when these two look like they are going to get their happy ending, the past comes backs and ruins everything. After some deep soul searching, clearer heads prevail and Imogen and Easton get their happy every after.

I just adored this steamy, opposites attract love story. Easton may have been a little gun shy because of his past but he was the perfect guy for Imogen. I loved Gator, Easton's dog. He brought a lot of comic relief! It was fun watching Imogen find the passion she was always looking for. I also enjoy the interaction with all of Easton's friends. This was another great addition to this really fun series.

Catch and Release Groom by Cindi Madsen, book three in the Getting Hitched in Dixie series, is an enjoyable enemies-to-lovers story that takes place in the little town of Uncertainty Alabama. Easton Reeves is romance adverse after getting left at the altar several years ago by his High School Sweetheart. He is working several jobs, Sheriff, Search and Rescue and fly fishing guide. His dream is to own a tackle shop and do fly fishing excursions full time. His life is about to change when he knocks on the door of what is supposed to be honeymooners for their fly fishing lesson and he meets Imogen Kaplan. Imogen is supposed to be on her honeymoon, but she called off her wedding a month before she was to go down the aisle. Since she already paid for the “Honeymoon Package,” she decides to go it alone. When Easton meets Imogen, he senses she is going to be trouble. Once she realizes that she is the only singleton amongst all honeymooners, she make a bargain with Easton to pose as her groom to get each other through some of the events that week and in return, she will accompany him to his ex’s wedding. Imogen and Easton are really fun characters with trust issues, who enjoy pushing each other’s buttons. Neither of them are looking for love, romance, or a relationship and yet fate has other plans for them. It was fun to watch their relationship grow and their teasing of each other. There were some funny moments, and I enjoyed some of the side characters, and catching up with the Eaton’s friends. I highly recommend Catch and Release Groom to other readers.

Catch and Release Groom is a fun Getting Hitched in Dixie book by Cindi Madsen. Easton Reeves is the last of the group to receive his HEA. He is a kind man if grumpy one. Honeymoon Week at the resort where he gives fishing lessons just brings out the grumpiness in him. Imogen Kaplan is not so much a runaway bride as she is one who called a halt on the wedding before the actual day. Pretty smart of her if you ask me. Some how she knew that she loved the groom but wasn’t in love with him, her childhood friend. Saved them all a lot more heartache that would have come. Still, she paid for a honeymoon week so decides to take it alone.

The entire setup of this plot has disaster written in it for these two characters but low and behold the needling of each other stops and a strange friendship fake romance begins. The story is heartwarming after a bit and so funny all the way through. I laughed out loud more than once. Addie, Tucker, and Ford, all make appearances along with a host of other supporting characters including one lovable dog.

For an amusing read Catch and Release Groom can’t be beat.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Catch and Release Groom by Cindi Madsen is the third novel in her Getting Hitched series. Imogen is a runaway bride on her honeymoon alone when she meets Easton, her rude fishing guide for a couples honeymoon fishing excursion. Sparks fly immediate between the couple. However, there a lot of obstacles between them and finding their happily ever after. This small town romance gives readers great characters development, an interesting storyline, hilarious banter, wonderful side characters, and just the right amount of angst to make the novel a perfect read for anyone looking for a good romance.

(If you enjoy this novel—read the rest of the Getting Hitched series.)

If you are looking for a read that will leave you smiling look no further than runaway bride Imogen Kaplan and Easton Reeves entertaining journey in Catch and Release Groom (Getting Hitched #3).
I have read a fair few books by Cindi Madsen and after reading the blurb for this book I was excited to be given the chance to read and let me just say this story was every expected and so much more.
Imogen may be the runaway bride but that doesn’t mean she is not going to enjoy her honeymoon in Uncertainty, Alabama. Easton is the man who is giving her fly fishing lessons and from the moment they meet sparks fly. What follows is a fun, entertaining read as a the runaway bride convinces the grump to become her fake groom.
This is romantic comedy at its best, it has wonderful characters that are easy to love, it’s steamy, it’s witty and it’s full of magical moments.

I received a copy from the publisher through Net Galley.

A huge thanks to Entangled Publishing for my complimentary copy and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.

This was a delightful and well packaged read from Cindi Madsen . If you are looking for a love story set at a resort then this book is for you. The book follows Imogen who decides to take her honeymoon regardless of the absence of a groom at a resort in the wild among mushy forever happy ever couples.. If fate has other plans her guide is the one guy that doesn't want romance (Easton) but love always finds its way. Totally a perfect read if you need a light read.

Actual rating: 3.75

If you love a runaway bride trope with a twist on the "I'm taking my honeymoon trip on my own," spending time outdoors with lots of opportunities for reflection, and a strangers to lovers delight when things continue to go off-plan.
.
A grumpy hero, a heroine who attracts the unexpected, and a whole lot of sexy banter make way for perfect beach/pool/summer reading. Don't miss this sweet, spicy, and delightful escape from Cindi Madsen. While this is the third installment in her Getting Hitched series it can be enjoyed and devoured as a standalone.

Happy reading. Can't wait to share more on my blog!

Imogen is on her honeymoon, alone, after deciding (correctly as far as I am concerned) that a relationship without a spark isn't one she should stay in and calling off her wedding.

Easton is working at the resort to avoid being in his small home town in the week up to the wedding of his high school sweetheart...who left him at the altar.

Needless to say, neither of them are really looking for romance, or even a connection, with anyone...so their attraction to one another is a bit of a surprise.

The initial attraction really worked, and this is a slow burn which makes sense for the characters and where they are in their emotional journeys when we meet them.

The part that didn't totally work for me was the connection between them when they were officially together, it seemed really quick and like it was missing some of the zing and the spark. And, I thought the end and the way it was resolved was a little quick.

While I know this isn't the story the author was telling, but I think this one would have worked better if their relationship happened over more than a week, as I kept getting stuck on how recently Imogen split with her ex and wondering if I believed in their long term connection.

I did enjoy this overall, and I did like the characters, so I can say I enjoyed and recommend this title.

He got left at the altar, she canceled her wedding....

Imogen Kaplan made the decision to cancel her wedding a month before it took place. She craves security above all and leaving her defining relationship was what sent her on her honeymoon to Cove Lakeside Resort and to Easton Reeves., Easton Reeves is the grumpy pants fishing guide who was left at the altar. He definitely is harboring resentment and unresolved issues. In fact, they both are. which is why I really wanted them to spend time working on their issues instead of jumping head first into another relationship immediately. Oher than that, I did enjoy Catch and Release Groom.

There is nothing better to lighten your heart than a Cindi Madsen RomCom. Be prepared to laugh hard at the circumstances she crafts for her characters. Plus, who doesn’t love a little grumpy/sunshine set in country? Easton and Imogen will make you swoon!

Catch and Release Groom is such a cute read. This is the final book in the Getting Hitched series. I love Easton and Imogen together. Runaway bride meets former groom left at the alter. Two different worlds collide while Imogen is on her honeymoon alone. She is more city while he is more outdoorsy. Easton is amazing. He is search and rescue, a member of the police force and has a passion for fishing and opening his own business. Imogen is a little loss and art is her passion. I love how they meet. I love the pull you feel from the beginning even after a few mishaps along the way. I love how Easton steps in a saves Imogen from being alone doing all the couples activities on her honeymoon. I could not get enough of these two. I loved every moment of this one and could not put it down. Easton and Imogen are simply lovely together and you need to meet them today.

Catch and Release Groom by Cindi Madsen was a heartfelt, comforting read.
I was quickly swept-up by the adorable small town setting and instantly fell in love with Imogen and Easton. The characters were all so warm and welcoming.
This story grabbed my interest from the start and held it to the end. Cindi makes her characters so real that you feel like they’re all people that you know and love. The story line is sweet, the witty dialogue and some laugh out loud moments and I might have even shed a tear or two. If you like warm-hearted romance stories like I do, you’ll like this one. It’s a great one!

5 Star Review Catch and Release Groom (Getting Hitched #3) by Cindi Madsen
After reading the blurb and having read numerous books by Cindi Madsen I jumped at the opportunity to read Catch and Release Groom, set in Uncertainty, Alabama. This book was everything I expected and so much more. I enjoy Romcom’s as this was a good example of the genre.
Imogen Kaplan is a runaway bride but one who is determined to go on her honeymoon regardless. Easton Reeves is the man who is going to teach her how to fly fish and he just knows that she is going to be trouble.
Easton is a bit of a grump, after being left at the altar, he has a hard time trusting. Learning that Imogen is a runaway bride, doesn’t bode well for his trust issues. There is a connection between them, but the sparks fly and not always in a good way at times.
Agreeing to pretend to be her fake Groom, Easton has no idea how this decision will change his life. Neither of them are looking for love or romance and yet fate seems to have other plans for them.

Easton got left at the altar. Imogen called off her wedding. They meet when he is the fishing guide for the first activity of what was supposed to be her honeymoon trip. That doesn't go very well, but enemies quickly turns into attraction. Then they make a bargain to get each other through some events.
It was fun to watch their relationship grow and their teasing of each other. There were some funny moments, and I enjoyed some of the side characters also.
This was a nice conclusion to the series, and I liked how the friends group made appearances.

Hooking a relationship!

Imogen Kaplan isn’t a runaway bride because she canceled the weeding a month ago but she is determined to take the honeymoon that she paid. Imogen didn’t know that it was Honeymoon Week at the resort and she was the odd person out. But being woken up at 0-dark-thirty by the fly fishing guide wasn’t in her plans.

The last place Eaton Reeves wanted to be was around honeymooners after being left at the altar but for some reason he couldn’t get Imogen out of his mind. Maybe she could be his plus one for his ex-fiancé’s wedding.

Catch and Release Groom has so much going for it because Imogen and Eaton are so different but that make it interesting and you get to catch up with the Eaton’s friends.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
