In true Clive Cussler form, another adventure with NUMA gets me caught up with this series. I love the research, the science and Kurt and Joe! They are like two teenage boys always looking for trouble!

Cussler delivers an adventure that can make you hold your breathe, question what Kurt or Joe are doing, get introduced to some possible new science. It is just fun!

I will continue my quest to read all of Cussler's books and look forward to the next in the NUMA series.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an e-galley in exchange for an honest review. I am pleased at how well Graham Brown has embodied the spirit, zest, style, and high-octane pace that Cussler wrote with during his lifetime. I was so worried that these books would end with Cussler's passing, but I am delighted that Brown is doing a splendid job. Kurt and Joe are back with another high-stakes, tech-heavy, gotta-save-the world installment. This was a great romp from start to finish!

The 20th volume in the ongoing NUMA files series finds Kurt and Joe drawn into a mystery involving drones, dirigibles, and mind control. An easy enjoyable read from start to finish.

Look, you always know what you get in a Clive Cussler novel. This one doesn't disappoint. Lots of action, a little bit of suspension of disbelief, and a hefty dose of the good guys winning. Another enjoyable entry into Cussler's legacy.

Another fast paced adventure! This one zipped right along and the idea was fun and fantastical. I will say that the ending seemed to be a bit abrupt, but otherwise a zippy read.

A typical NUMA read. I always enjoy the way that the 2 or 3 story lines are merged together at the end. From the very beginning, there was tons of action. I did find it strange and unusual that there was no real conclusion to the episode with the submersible. It was nice to see a larger focus on the Trout's and I'm hoping that we'll see more of Jodi Wells ( and that perhaps there could be a romance with Zavala). All in all, an enjoyable and engaging read. As always, I look forward to the next installment.

Another grand adventure. Graham Brown carries on the legacy of Cussler well. The Numa files are in good hands.

For Kurt Austin and the NUMA crew, things are about to heat up when a distress call from a boat while out on training mission for NUMA has them finding a damaged vessel, a crew that ambushes Kurt and Joe Zavala who seem terrified of something. What happens next has them baffled. Kurt and Joe think the crew are suffering from Havana Syndrome which only deepens the mystery of what is going on and when danger mounts and some members of the NUMA crew get afflicted by the same thing, it’s up to Joe and Kurt to figure things out before their comrades and friends are forever damaged as well as save the world from a danger no one sees coming.

Man, I love Clive Cussler’s books and his NUMA Files series is full of the action, mystery and more that you expect from one of his books. CONDOR’S FURY is another perfect addition to this series and one I couldn’t put down. I tore through this book with eagerness as I love the dynamics Kurt and the NUMA crew have together as coworkers as well as friends. Plus each character is so different from one another and that works so well in this author’s books as a whole. I love how unique and entertaining these characters are in this series as well as the whole. There was plenty of edge of your seat anticipation to a few chuckles as there are some lighter moments that left me giggling at times. These two authors deliver a pulse pounding ride from start to finish and I know I am not the only one who enjoys high stakes built up in a book packed with twists and turns galore that keep the reader on their toes.

CONDOR’S FURY is another splendid story set around the NUMA crew and delivers everything within its pages you would expect from past books. Even though Clive Cussler is no longer with us, Graham Brown keeps his memory alive in this newest book. Filled with action pounding scenes to exotic locales, the authors deliver one wild rife from start to finish. I am eager to see where they go in this series and how they go about it. I am just glad Mr. Brown doesn’t change the core of this series, which is filled with the characters readers have grown to love and enjoy.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement.

As a long time NUMA Files fan, I really enjoyed Condor's Fury. Austin & Zavala are up to their usual antics, and its always fun to read their adventures. What starts as a possible biological weapon attack on a freighter ends up being much more complex, leading to a plot by a former Cuban Intelligence Officer to restore his homeland to its former glory.

I won't go into much more detail into the plot then that, but it deals heavily in PsyOps and mental manipulation. I was impressed by the ingenuity of the villain's master plan, and also the focus on modern day zeppelin style airships where most of the action takes place - they're brilliantly described and make for engrossing reading.

That aside, if you've read any other NUMA Files, most of this will be familiar. As much as I liked Paul and Gamay Trout when they were first introduced to this series over a dozen books ago, I don't think they bring anything to the table anymore. They seem to spend their lives getting ambushed by bad guys left and right, and never seem to think to bring weapons or anything to protect themselves. You know they'll always make it out anyway, so it doesn't really matter. I would love to see them replaced by someone who brings something new to the party. It's suggested that Commander Wells, the navy officer who works with Kurt & Joe here might join the NUMA team but I doubt it - such things have been hinted at with many new characters in the past but they usually end up sucked into a black hole never to be heard from again.

Anyway, bottom line is this is a really fun adventure story. If you're a NUMA fan, you'll like it. If you've never read this series before, you can still start here and have a good time since these books are all stand alones.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free advanced review copy of this book.

Great adventure. Interesting concepts, both the good and the bad. Glad to see Paul and Gamay joining Kurt and Joe this time around. Success for the good guys.

Mysterious piracy is happening in the Caribbean, ghostly lights and men being attacked mentally, disappearances of men and machinery none of which makes sense to Kurt and Joe of NUMA. They come upon a freighter that is drifting - the crew is disabled and confused, some are comatose. It is evident they have been attacked by something. The crew that is alive and able to talk babble about lights in the sky and piercing noises. Kurt and Joe join an investigative team to search the ship as it is being transported by a dry dock to shore but the ship is attacked again and almost sinks the dry dock ship with the investigative team on board. Kurt and Joe manage to get the team off safely and save the ships. This begins a rash of attacks and dire situations that the team must work through to keep everyone safe and find out what is behind this all.. This book's villain and his means of attack are one of the most frightening I have read. I almost didn't want to read on for fear of one or more of the team would be harmed or killed.
This was a very exciting albeit frightening read that will be enjoyed by all readers of this genre. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Clive Cussler's "Condor's Fury" by Graham Brown is another hit in the Kurt Austin, and Joe Zavala series.

While Kurt and Joe are on a mission in the Caribbean they hear a distress call and respond, only as they search the ship they find crew members that have no clue what happened! Their Captain is dead holding a shotgun, the boat they were towing has mysteriously disappeared!

To find out, you need to grab this book when it hits the shelves, sit back and enjoy. This book is well paced and plenty of twists and turns to keep your interest.

I want to thank NetGalley and Simon & Schuster publishing for the chance to read the ARC. The review is my honest opinion.
