Kinza leads a normal life until she discovers magic exists and she has control over some of it. Her world turns upside down. It's an interesting book that has many twists and turns. I enjoyed the book and look forward to the sequel.

Thanks NetGalley and publishers for the Arc of Cryptic magic by Lily Skyy.

I really really enjoyed this book. I loved that it was written from different angles… just too short. 5/5 Brilliant read and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

Thanks to NetGalley for the free ARC. This review is entirely my honest opinion of the book.
I really enjoyed this book. The world of Rhapta was fascinating, and it had an intriguing magic system and social hierarchy. I would love to explore more of the politics of the society and learn more about the Anunnaki people and their different powers.
Kinza was an excellent lead. From the beginning, I liked her because it was clear she had determination and a strong work ethic. She was pragmatic and fierce, and a genuinely good person with inspiring goals and a big heart.
I appreciated that Lily Skyy gave Zaid his own POV and showed his backstory and perspective. Normally, I don’t love reading from multiple POVs, but in this case, I felt like it really added a meaningful contribution to the story and made me appreciate his character.
My only complaint is that the book is too short! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series asap, and I would definitely recommend this!
