HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Absolutely brilliant non fiction book that captivates its audience throughout. The book spotlights 4 trailblazing women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics – Marie Curie ( a physicist/chemist), Dr Muthulakshmi Reddy (doctor/activist) , Wang Zhenyi (astronomer) and Mary Seacole (Nurse).
The book is written in verse, which I initially thought wouldn’t work but I was proved wrong very quickly! The illustrations bring the information to life and help to emphasis the greatness of these four women. The book brings to life these expectional women and the significant contributions they made to their respective fields.
I love that there are activity pages and a glossary at the back of the book.

🔭 What a wonderful compilation of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics career fields!

👩‍🔬 You will learn about four amazing women with diverse backgrounds who have, throughout history, exceled in STEM fields, even in the face of adversity. The women are Marie Curie (1867-1934, physicist/chemist), Dr. Muthulaksmi Reddy (1866-1968, medical doctor/activist), Wang Zhenyi (1768-1797, astronomer), and Mary Seacole (1805-1881, nurse).

🧪 Interestingly, the information in the book is written in verse. I didn’t expect that but it worked.

🔬 Full-color illustrations give life to the information provided.

🥼 There are activity pages for kids at the back of the book and a glossary!!!

👩‍⚕️ This is a great book for young readers to learn about these four brilliant women. It is targeted to young readers up to 8 years old and is 83 pages long.

Thank you @Netgalley and the author (independently published) for an eARC of this book, which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I admit I teared up a bit reading this. Very cute, with a diverse selection of women in STEM, displayed with cute poetry and vocabulary lists! And the end of the book includes interactive bits for the kids - coloring pages and paper crafts. My niece is the perfect age for this; it'll not just expand her vocabulary but her view of the world as well.

Absolutely adorable and the art is beautiful!

A wonderful person- just like you!

This book’s refrain was one of my favorite things about it. This was a very engaging anthology of women in STEM. It covered very diverse people with different backgrounds and different time frames. I will say that I was expecting this to be a book for older children, but this was a book aimed for younger audiences like 4-6 year olds. I think this is a great book to set off a spark of fascination for science.
