A Rollicking Dark Comedy You Shouldn't Miss!

Firstly, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to NetGalley for granting me an advanced copy of "Forever Home" by Graham Norton. It was an utter delight to delve into Norton's eccentric world of rich characters and wry humor.

"Forever Home" is a splendid dark comedy that expertly intertwines gallows humor with touching and deeply human moments. The narrative style is lighthearted, yet it doesn't shy away from presenting life's harsh realities in an unusual, but appealing manner.

The characters are a grand spectacle in themselves - nuanced, relatable, and undeniably hilarious. They don't just exist; they live, breathe, and dance off the pages. Their idiosyncrasies, quirks, and humanity will keep you engrossed, and their life stories will make you laugh, gasp, and at times, even shed a tear or two.

In particular, Moria, with her matter-of-factness, no matter how unsettling the facts may be, is a refreshing character. Her pragmatic approach to life, combined with her sharp wit, offers a unique perspective that is both humorous and insightful.

The moments of laughter are plentiful throughout the book. You'll find yourself chuckling, giggling, and outright laughing out loud more times than you can count. Yet, these moments of joy don't overshadow the depth and resonance of the story. Instead, they add a layer of complexity that makes "Forever Home" a truly engaging read.

Moreover, the memorable characters and the absurd situations they find themselves in make this book a joy to read. Each character has their own distinct personality and backstory, which provides a fresh and exciting dynamic to the overall narrative.

"Forever Home" by Graham Norton is a book that expertly walks the tightrope between dark humor and heartwarming humanity. If you're a fan of dark comedy with a dash of poignancy, then this book should definitely be on your to-read list. It's a read that offers both a good laugh and a good cry, making it a truly one-of-a-kind experience. Highly recommended!

Thank you again, NetGalley, for this marvelous literary treat. I am already looking forward to the next one.

This is my first Graham Norton. He is an Irish actor, comedian, television presenter and columnist, known by his stage name Graham Norton his real name is Graham William Walker He is the host of the comedy chat show The Graham Norton Show.
He is the narrator of this story. I typically don’t like when an author is the reader but with his background, I was sure he would do a good job.

I read comments from readers who have read several of his books and all agree that he is a good writer. This story is character driven. In a situation that doesn’t seem real but the author makes is seem somewhat normal.

Story features Carol a divorced teacher living in a small town in Ireland who is in a relationship with Declan. Friends find this an unlikely relationship. They know their relationship is the talk of the town, but only seems to bring the couple closer.
