A wonderful book. Highly recommended. You will enjoy reading it. Written in a very engaging prose. Nowhere would you feel being stuck or bored. Pick it up if you get a chance. Thanks to the author for a review copy.

Free Your Joy is definitely built as a long term book with monthly activities and not to be read in one sitting, so know that when you start. It was just not for me, it is so heavy on the "woo woo" and if you arent already into heavy spiritual work, it is going to be easy to roll your eyes and not want to continue. And unfortunately that is what i did.

This book is a long term project broken down into monthly increments. I cannot say how it will be a year from now but I can definitely see how these practices will help.

This was a book that was based on the author’s experience in “teaching” about the journey of having more joy and freedom in one’s life through her Joy School.

The book was structured by month, with various tips and activities the readers could try out to create more happiness and joy not just temporarily, but in the long term, as a lifelong practice. I loved reading about the activities, but as the process takes one full year to complete, I cannot vouch for its success rate yet.

(I received a free review copy from NetGalley.)

It is difficult to review this book because it covers such a long term plan. The author correctly states that joy and happiness need a total rethink and application of new ideas to your life / lifestyle / way of thinking and positive action for these things to be achieved. It is definitely not one of three modern - be happier overnight, instant gratification - books. More grounded in the real world than most 'instant happiness / gratification' books and I like it all the more for that. I have started but will need to see how useful it is in the long term.

Free Your Joy: The Twelve Keys to Sustainable Happiness is a self help book focussing on developing joy practises for long term benefits. It is an in depth book full theory and deep seated methods for building foundations. It is quite lengthy and is a long term fix, across the year, with actionable steps each month on a theme. To be honest I found it a little bit flat and very slow. Maybe it is the bouncy enthusiasm I associate with the word JOY that this book lacked. But I can see it being very useful to anyone who wants to commit a year to the process, and who is not familiar with the general self help themes.
