I loved this. It is a deep read - one that will likely require another pass at some point - and pretty accessible, even for those of us who have light backgrounds in the physics and math covered here. I thoroughly enjoy a mental challenge and this is thought-provoking, beautiful, and spiritual in ways I did not expect.

Here is the author's searching for meaning - trying to reconcile three aspects of his person: his science seduction into the fundamentals of matter and life, his spiritual involvement with Buddhism, and his emotional attachment to homosexuality.
This approach to explaining consciousness through his personal journey may appeal to a few.
