This is a brilliant book to help kids learn to fish, but its not just for those with no or little experience. packed full of information I think theres quite a few regular fishers out there today that would benefit from this book.

If you are looking for the perfect guide to get your little ones ready to fish, then I have found the perfect one. This guide is geared towards kids from ago 6 and up. Even adults who are just catching on to that fishing fun will love this book. The book is so detailed with step-by-step instructions on everything you could possibly imagine and has to do with fishing. The guide is simple yet fun. There are so many details in the book like explanation of bait, of how to cast, of kinds of fish and even how to cook them. My family loved the guide. We are a family who loves to fish, and this book had information we didn’t even think about. I highly recommend this guide for all ages but it’s simplicity while still being detailed is perfect for teaching young children. The real-life photos in the big given even more detail to what we wanted to learn. You will enjoy this guide.

Great book not only instructional but has safety tips, great photos and at a kids level they will understand. I don't think they left anything out. Been taking my 11 year old grandson out without any male help as my mother was an avid fisherwoman and I'm trying to take her place!

I have not been fishing since I was a kid with my dad, but as a naturalist, and someone who believes in sustainability, catching your own fish is one of the most ethical ways to get food. And yet, I wasn’t quite sure how to go about it, while wanting to involve my almost 4 year old in the process.

I happened upon this book on NetGalley, where I got it for free and am leaving a voluntary review, and I am glad I did.

You can find everything you need to know in here, including some amazing DIY recipes for things like hand lines, and bobbers made from old corks. I love reusing materials! To me that’s absolutely amazing that they included it.

I also love that they used diverse models for their photos- it felt so much more inclusive to me.

Now when I go fishing with my sun, I’ll have a tutorial book to help me, since my father has passed and I cannot rely on his knowledge.

This is a great learning book for any child that wants to learn how to fish. It goes over what equipment is needed and what it is for or does. It also demonstrates how to bait and cast a line as well as how to unhook a fish.

I have a 9 year old that has been learning to fish with his father and loves it so it was exciting to be able to read this with him and learn more about his hobby! There was SO MUCH information here, and we were able to read it over several days. This is a great resource for young anglers, and for parents that may not be as knowledgeable but want to support their kid’s interests! The pictures and diagrams were helpful and the detailed explanations were useful for me in understanding some things my son already knows but couldn’t explain to me because he learned them by doing. A very useful book, and a good way to bond over a new hobby.

Fishing tutorial with bright illustrations and photographs, perfect for novices and experienced fishers alike. This is a very in-depth book that illustrates how fishing can be as basic or as gadgety as one likes. Anyone can learn to fish, and the book encourages a respect for nature and proper fishing procedures.

I plan to order this for my library as it gives great instructions and provides the reader with a sense of confidence.

Let's Learn to Fish! will teach any kid how to fish and will be an excellent resource for kids who don't have a grown up to teach them. Armitage breaks it down into digestible parts with detailed instructions, complete with photographs. Speaking of the photographs, any kid will see themselves in the pictures they chose for this book, which supports the overall message of anybody can learn how to fish and fishing is for anyone!

Armitage writes this book for novice fishers, but even expert kids can learn a thing or two from this book. Plenty of background knowledge, instructions, text features, and safety tips all find a home in this book, allowing for readers to truly become excellent fishers!
