I don’t know what I was expecting when I started this book but this was lovely. It really was a great read about hospitality and welcoming.

This is a lovely Advent devotional that is easy to read and use in a variety of contexts. I particularly liked the Biblical exegesis for each Sunday of Advent, and the daily devotions for each day of the season of Advent. The personal stories were apt and relatable, particularly the ones relating to the period of lockdown during the COVID pandemic. The worship resources at the end and the children's pageant are an added bonus.

I highly recommend this to churches for adult study and worship resources.

This is a must-have resource and a fantastic way to prepare for Christmas through advent. It is full of easy to implement ideas. This is one I'll return to again and again. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.
