Alexis is the preeminent female business woman, but she's spent most of her life working so hard, many long hours, and expecting her employees to do the same. She's never made much time for a social life and she keeps men at an arm's length, never committing to love. It hurts too much after the loss of her parents.
This Christmas, she's taken away all the fun of the holiday party her employees planned, even making them work because they didn't hit the goal she wanted. She is likened to the female version of Scrooge. Her office building may have the best Christmas display, it's the go-to destination for photo ops--but it's all smoke and mirrors. Alexis doesn't do Christmas. The only person who seems to get her is her driver.
Visited by the ghost of her mother, seeing her past, present, and future is a wakeup call. It's not good. She's on the path of a lonely life and worse. She will need an immediate change of heart to see what's in front of her, save everything, find possibile love, and learn how to go on past the deaths of her parents.
This book takes the story from the movie to the next level with special nuances in the way the modern day nod to  A Christmas Carol, with a twist, plays out.
A heartfelt Christmas read perfect for the holiday season!

There have been movies and books written as a modern day retelling of A Christmas Carol, but this may be one of my favorites. If you ask Alexis Taylor who she loves, she will tell you she loves money. She has no shame about admitting to her love of money and power. She also despises Christmas and anything to do with it. Yet her office tower in Atlanta is professionally decorated so much so that it is a photo spot for visitors. Make no mistake, the decorations are not for celebration, she has another use for them. You will have to read the book to find out. She has walls around her heart that no one can penetrate. She suffered a tremendous loss many years ago, and she has buried herself in work and becoming the best in her field of finance. She has no friends and no life outside work and making money. She does not need anything else in her life, or so she thinks. She treats her employees with disdain and does not care anything about them personally. Well, you know where this story is going. She is going to get a visit that will change her life.

This was such a delightful story to read. There is a little twist to this story that ties it up with a big red bow that made my heart happy. This book put me in the Christmas spirit. Alexis is the Scrooge in this story, so my initial reaction to her was not good, but as you learn more about her, you see a different side to Alexis that she keeps hidden from the public. If you enjoy a charming Christmas story that will warm you up inside, you will inhale this book like I did. I dove into this book and read it in one afternoon. Apparently Karen Schaler is the queen of Christmas, and after reading this book, I realized she has earned that title.

If you love The Christmas Carol, you will absolutely love this book. Sometimes we all need to be reminded about our blessings. I’m sure all of us have wished for a little more time with those we have loss. I loved the way Alexis changed. I cried some happy tears. This is a great Christmas story with wonderful characters. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.

Every Day Is Christmas is this year’s Christmas story by Karen Schaler. While the plot is one well known first written by Charles Dickens, it is updated with contemporary and original characters. Even his book is mentioned in the story which gave me a smile every time it did. This story of coming face-to-face with the past to be able to look closely at your goals, drams and perspective was powerful.

Second chances, forgiveness and desire to change while putting that change into action was a big part of this story after the past was examined. If hallmark has not grabbed this story up, they really should be on the move now. This is a perfect feel good, heartwarming story with a lesson for us.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another delightful sweet Christmas novel by Karen Schaler. The queen of Christmas still reigns! This was a great modern twist in A Christmas Carol, full of all the fun Christmas joy you come to expect from Karen’s stories, while also hitting you with sweet emotional nostalgia reminding you just in time for the upcoming season, all the reasons to love Christmas.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

I enjoyed reading this book.

We meet Alexis, who owns her own business and is constantly working all day, every day and has no time for others or Christmas.

Whenever she’s had a relationship, she’s always ended it before Christmas, the reason she’s given is that she has to concentrate on the business. Even her employees don’t like her, as she’s making them work late on Christmas Eve and not giving any bonuses.

This time, when she goes home, she gets a visit a special visit, and they take her on a trip to the past, present and future, making her realise what mistakes she’s made, is making and how those will impact her future.

But, will Alexis make any changes after what she’s witnessed?

I recommend this book.

This is my first book from this author, but I have enjoyed her Award-Winning Christmas Lifetime Movies! I look forward to seeing this book in its’ movie debut.

Alexis Taylor is a business mogul who works 24/7 and proclaims not to have time for relationships, Christmas, or love. She remains a serial dater but refuses to commit and traditionally dumps the ‘man of the year’ before Christmas. Her reason is always that she must concentrate solely on her career. Additionally, she thwarts any attempt by those around her to encourage even a tidbit of Christmas cheer.

However, this year is different. She receives visits from ghosts of the past, present, and future in a true Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” fashion. These visitations teach her how to love again thus forever changing every facet of her life.

I finished this novel in tears as my heart reminisced of Christmases past and the loved ones who are no longer with me but remain forever in my heart. At that moment, I pledged to forever keep Christmas and love alive in my heart despite where life may take me.

I enjoyed this heartwarming Christmas novel immensely. I was hooked from page one and couldn’t put it down until I’d read the last word. I wholeheartedly recommend this beautiful story to anyone who enjoys a delicious taste of the holiday season. Curl up by the fire with your favorite blanket, a cup of hot cocoa, and prepare your heart for a beauty journey.

I received this advanced reader’s copy from Author Karen Schaler, Hawktale Publishing, and NetGalley. This is a voluntary review, and all comments and opinions are entirely my own.

Karen Schaler shines in this wonderful and heartwarming Christmas story. Alexis is a workaholic who has a bah humbug attitude about Christmas. The plot of the story is based on on the Christmas Carol. After living a life focused on making the most money she can. The story is told with heartfelt warmth. It will make a great Christmas present for you and your friends.

EVERY DAY IS CHRISTMAS reads like a Hallmark movie and I guess it's because the author does write Hallmark movies! This is a modern day take on A CHRISTMAS CAROL and it was an interesting read. Alexis' deceased parents show up twenty years after being killed in an accident to show her how she used to enjoy Christmas with her family in Christmases past. They also show her her present and future and it's enough for her to turn her life around.

Alexis is a workaholic who owns her own financial company and expects anyone who works for her to have the same drive as she does. And look out when they don't! She's even called Scrooge by one of her employees. She is so focused on work twenty-four/seven that she knows nothing about her employees and she likes it that way. There are twists and turns to the story along with some romance if you can call what she does when dating romance. There's a good flow to the story but I wish the ending provided an epilogue. The cover is rich with meaning but you have to read the book to find out why. I loved the inclusion of several recipes in the back of the book as well as the Christmas family activity.

I rated the book 4.5 stars but rounded to 5 stars here and on other sites.

Every Day is Christmas is a new book coming out based on the movie that Karen Schaler wrote a few years ago by the same name. As with her other works, this is a heartwarming Christmas tale sure to bring a smile. But not at first. This is based on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The Scrooge is Alexis Taylor who threw herself into her career twenty years ago when her parents died on Christmas Eve, forsaking love, friends, or anyone who could leave her. And she especially does not celebrate Christmas personally. She owns a very successful finance company and lacks nothing monetary. An interesting Christmas Eve visitor or two helps her put her life into perspective and helps her see where her future is heading. Lovely ending.
I received a copy of the purpose of an honest review. These are my thoughts.

AWWW I love Christmas! So, I was excited to read Every Day is Christmas by Karen Schaler. It was a cute rendition of A Christmas Carol. This book is full of what the true meaning of Christmas is! I really wished I read closer to the holiday because it took everything for me not to decorate for Christmas! Holiday must read!

A lovely Christmas book in the same vein as A Christmas Carol. Alexis's parents died on Christmas Eve. To try to deal with the pain she buries it deeply and refuses to have anything to do with Christmas. She is very focused on money and getting ahead. I found her very hard to like at first. But when she has her Christmas Eve miracle it brings everything to where it should be. The characters are great. I love how Alexis talks to each of the people she has had poor dealings with and owns her mistakes. It is a great book to get you in the Christmas Spirit.

In recent years I have developed a new tradition of reading a holiday story from Karen Schaler. I have never been particularly crazy about Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. However, I totally enjoyed this modern retelling which features a highly successful career woman who avoids anything to do with celebrating Christmas unless it benefits her business. It takes a supernatural visit from her deceased parents to open her eyes to what her life has become as well as the lonely future in store for her. I look forward to trying out the recipes the author has furnished at the end of the book and will be seeking out the television movies associated with her books. Thanks to NetGalley and HawkTale Publishing for an advance copy to read and review.

Being honest, this wasn't my favorite Karen schaler book. I found it hard to relate to the characters, and very clichéd. I just couldn't get into it. I felt it was too crass and unbelievable for a Christmas story. It felt like a bad bad subpar cable movie, not even lifetime channel worthy.

What a wonderful Christmas story. I wasn't sure when I started reading this book if I would like it. Not a fan of the grinch but as I kept reading i realized it was so much more!

I loved this heartwarming rendition of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. I didn't realize this book was based off of a Lifetime Christmas movie with Toni Braxton written by this author. Now I have to watch the movie version for sure! It was a really touching reminder of how important it is to have love in our lives and to treat people the way you want to be treated. How anything is possible at Christmas. Gives you all the feels for the upcoming holiday season. Don't forget to check out the yummy recipes and activities at the back of the book!

Thank you to NetGalley and HawkTale Publishing for this eARC.

A lovely Christmas read. A brilliant twist on a Christmas classic.

Alexis has a very heartbreaking back story, and I loved how her ‘ghosts’ were her parents and they still led from their hearts and showed her love and understanding. Sometimes I think if we all had the chance to step outside ourselves and view situations and people we might make better and more considerate decisions.

A very easy read that filled me with the Christmas spirit.

I am loving all the Christmas books coming out and this one is yet another lovely, Christmassy, heart-warming and fun read. A book about second chances this is a charming and easy to read this will get you right into the Christmas spirit and put a smile on your face.

Love Alexis, her character is strong yet she has a sensitivity about her, the story has the feel of Scrooge about it and it is very entertaining while also being cute and tender. I really enjoyed this light and fun read.

Thank you NetGalley and HawkTale Publishing for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Karen Schaler always seems to capture the essence of Christmas in her stories. This time she models her story off of Charles Dickens famous "A Christmas Carol" book. She has a woman as the main character who after suffering a tragic loss has her priorities go off the rails. This story has redemption, forgiveness, love and all of the emotions that make it a great holiday read. Light a fire, grab a hot chocolate and sit down in your favourite reading chair to enjoy this holiday book.

EVERY DAY IS CHRISTMAS
by Karen Schaler
Release Date October 10 2023

This is a modern retell of A Christmas Carol. After the tragic death of her parents at Christmas. Alexis Taylor turns into a real Scrooge, with a twist of the Grinch thrown in. She feels the only thing that is important is to become a success. She did accomplish that.
As in the original story, her parents come back to show her her past and her future. To stress to her that money and things are not what’s really important.
I really did like how it all turned out. And I really enjoyed the fact that Justin was always there for her, even though she didn’t realize it.

I do recommend this book is a great Christmas read. Thank you Karen and NetGalley for this ARC in return for my honest review.
