This book would be a perfect read aloud for our maker space club. I love the word choices in this alphabet book and the way it encourages creativity. .

Fabulous addition to the Magnificent Thing books. Excellent book for teaching the alphabet and encouraging children to be creative and innovative.

I am an absolute sucker for A-Z books – and then you throw in a dog, a determined little girl, a touch of STEM (just a little), a GREAT message and fantastic artwork – SOLD!!! I loved it and can NOT wait to purchase it for my grandmuffin!! This honest review is offered in exchange for a digital copy from Netgalley.

My four year old loves this! I was a little more hesitant because the A was just A something and a few others were like that so I was worried it would be confusing but he took it in stride and made connections to other words that start with those letters so all in all it was a cute story and taught
You about creativity, trying new things, looking at situations in other ways and not △⃒⃘lways getting things the first time!

A great addition to the series where you can discuss a lot of the key ingredients to creative people doing their best work. In particular, this will help people maintain or improve on their growth mindset. Great examples in the pictures require some thoughtful looking and it makes this a slower library read aloud, but I think worth the time for the right grade. Not really an alphabet book for the very young, if that is what you are looking for.

Retelling the learnings of alphabets in very new and remarkable manner to let new generation read it through their daily life.
Firstly I thought it would be waste but one after another usage of alphabetical lyrics, I realise it is quite a work of fun as well as creativity, yes the one from 'C'. I really appreciate the pattern of work planned in phase manner to use each alphabet to complete the plot.
But one thing which was ironically unrelevant is why children with knowledge of such work would like to read A-Z. -1 for this.

I am a sucker for a good alphabet book. I also love the Most Magnificent thing book. So this was a shoe in for me. I loved it. I have so many ideas of how to implement this book with Stem maker space items. So fun.

Ashley Spires is an author and illustrator who has been consistent for me. I have enjoyed every one of her books to date - especially Binky - and this was no exception, especially as it is a follow up on her other Most Magnificent books.

This was a neat A to Z which speaks to the STEM idea of experimentation being a good thing and as a way to encourage those children who are interested in testing, making and figuring out how things work to actually embrace their passions. While some of the letters were a bit of a stretch, they were integrated so well that I cannot complain.

The artwork is lovely as always, and each letter has so many details on the page that you can take your time looking as well as talking about the steps to figuring things out.

A great picture book that can lead to some even greater conversations about the scientific method and figuring out "stuff" with your kid.

Ashley Spires 'The Most Magnificent Maker's A to Z' book is an excellent book for children aged 5-8. It would make a brilliant alphabet book for the classroom!

The book follows A little girl and her Assistant pet dog throughout the alphabet. Each letter is a new word revolving around her creations. The wording is clever and will help children strengthen their vocabulary. The book sets a positive tone and encourages little creators to never give up - T is for try, try, try, try and try again!

The illustrations are lovely and help the alphabet book flow. The little girl and her pet are cute characters and the detail in the pictures are brilliant. Each letter is made up of tools used to build the little girl's creation, which adds a fun element to the pages.

This book will absolutely be on our family shelf the second it comes out. We also loved Ashley Spires’ other children’s books, all flow together extremely well. The vocabulary used for the corresponding letters were perfect! Especially the Y for Yet 🙂, which has been part of our positive mindset strategies. Highly recommend!

Filled with beautiful illustrations and introducing new vocabulary words, it takes readers on a journey from A to Z learning all about making. Each letter is made up of tools a maker may use and encourages makers of all ages and skill levels to put their best foot forward and be creative. This is a great addition to The Most Magnificent series. From successes to failures and all the things to try in between, this book is a great addition to any bookshelf, whether you're an adult or child.

This really is the most magnificent maker's A to Z guide! This is not just a simple alphabet book. This is about creativity, persistence, and learning. The importance of a growth mindset, if something doesn't work the first time, then try something different! I love the author's sense of humor. I love the fun illustrations. 100% love the message to kids that if you keep learning and trying, you will eventually succeed! ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this advanced review copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review on the book!

Most Magnificent MAker's A to Z is a nice alphabet book. Although some of the words for each letter were a bit of a stretch, I can understand their choices. I would say this isn't the best choice if you are just looking for a simple alphabet book ( ex- A is for apple). This would be more suited to a child that is a bit older and starting to learn the creative process. It would be perfect for kids who are curious about and love to make things.

4.5/5 stars

My child and I both really enjoyed this read. She was very disappointed when the book ended, which I would mark as a good story. I like how as the alphabet progresses, the story does as well. It's a clever book with sweet illustrations.

I would absolutely love to read this book out loud to a classroom full of kids! It’s just fun. I would say a new way to learn new basic words from A to Z. The illustrations are refreshing, not overdone, clean and minimal. A beautiful book that features a curious girl and her “assistant” pet dog. Love it.

Thank you, Kids Can Press, for the advance reading copy.

Pros: I so enjoyed this delightful alphabet/vocabulary book for "little makers." I love how it encourages creativity, trying new things, and activities that do not require screens. I thought the illustrations were adorable and that this book would make a great gift.

Cons: None that I can think of!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kids Can Press for the opportunity to read this book.
