Sweet romance about a young heiress that wants to be her own person and a former boy band member that wants a second chance at life.

Tate and Scarlett are good for one another. They draw strength from another and a good balance for them both. She wants to make a name for herself that’s not connected to the Lancaster name and he wants a come back to show the world that he has grown up and not the party hard, bad boy former boy band leader.

The agreement was to be in a fake relationship but the more time they spend together, they realize the feelings are real and they want to be together. The fear of putting your feeling out there is real. Can what started as something fake turn out to be the real deal?

Sweet slow burn at it’s best.

I loved this premise of a high society heiress who meets a troubled rock band star. 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘍𝘰𝘳 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘖𝘯𝘭𝘺 can be read as a standalone, but is part of the Lancaster Prep series. It was such a slow burn, angsty romance with tension that just kept building and building.

Told in dual POV, both Scarlett and Tate weren’t the most likeable characters, but they were so flawed and I loved seeing each of them grow. They had such a sweet romance, and paired together really well.

Tate is a former boy bander, reformed bad boy, and now he has a chance to bring back his career thanks to his performance at Scarlett Lancasters 18th birthday party. What he doesn’t expect is the kiss. It’s a kiss that goes viral and opens the door for him to finally get his second chance at a solo career, but the record label will only take him on with Scarlett as a part of the deal. With nothing to lose he has to convince her to act as his faithful doting girlfriend.

Couldn't quite get into this book but wanted to read since it's in the Lancaster Prep series!

LOVE Tate & Scarlett. This story is a slow burn with heaps of chemistry. It's about first crushes and first loves. It's a fun take on all of our younger years where we crushed on our favorite boy bands and actors and what it would be like to end up with them someday. It's also a story of trying to find your own identity when you enter adulthood and making a name and career on your own. Tate flamed out early as part of a boy band and when he gets a surprising chance to resurrect his singing career, it comes with an unorthodox deal. Scarlett unexpectedly happens to be part of that deal.
We watch them navigate a Hollywood world where the naïve and innocent get chewed up and spit out. Tate had to find a way to maintain his sobriety with all the pressure of putting out a new album. I especially loved the partnership and romance that blooms between them. Scarlett has an inner strength and confidence that I admired so much. And you get that a-ha moment when you finally find out what the title of the story really means and it was swoonworthy.

“It’s the way he looks at me when he speaks. As if he’s thinking of doing . . . things to me. Sexual things.”

Scarlett is the only daughter of the youngest Lancaster. She’s the ultimate good girl and just wants to be her own person and get away from her family’s name.

Tate is a former boy bander getting ready for comeback. And performing at Scarlett’s 18th birthday party is the restart he really needs.

What’s a girl to do when her celebrity crush growing up asks her to be his fake girlfriend? Say yes of course!

A coming of age story about finding that one person who sees you and loves you through the ups and downs. The person you can be completely be yourself with and pushes you for more - to grow.

Scarlett and Tate are the perfect match. The good girl and bad boy. Their banter was fun and enjoyable. Tate can be really sweet and who wouldn’t love to be someone’s muse? Writing songs about you? Swoony for sure! 🥰

I love everything that Monica Murphy writes. Lonely for You Only tells the story of rich girl Scarlett Lancaster and washed up rockstar Tate Ramsey who is ready for a come back. This is a sweet sexy coming of age story full of a few surprises.

Scarlett is super excited for her 18th birthday party as her dad is surprising her with a musician and she is really hoping for Harry Styles. She is quite disappointed when it is a singer she had a crush on when she was teenager. Tate Ramsey is even more gorgeous than when Scarlett was a teenager. She never expects to see him again after their brief run in at her party but fate has other plans.

Tate Ramsey has just been trying to get by in life after he ruined his music career. He gets an opportunity to sing at birthday party for a Scarlett Lancaster and never expects his life to make a complete 360. What will happen when he proposes starting a fake relationship with Scarlett to better his career Will she go along with it or will she tell him he's lost his mind?

I loved the connection between Scarlett and Tate. The secondary characters added lots of depth to the storyline. I loved all the twists and turns this story took. I can't wait to see what Monica is working on next!!

The Lancaster clan has been an interesting group to read about and all have their own issues or drama that has made them a group I’ve enjoyed reading about and Scarlett’s was no different. I went through and I did devour her and Tate’s story because who doesn’t love a good rockstar and fake relationship trope?! Scarlett is trying her best to set herself a part from her family while making a name that is her own and when her and Tate’s paths cross you can feel the tingle of electricity that flows between them. while they both decide to go for the fake relationship in order to help their own careers out they never thought that things could turn real, but like always there are some things and others that hold them back. While I did enjoy their story, banter, and chemistry it just took a lot of time for things to get where I thought it should be and it made the story slow down a lot. Other than that this was cute and enjoyable read of another Lancaster trying to find their place in the world and a happily ever after.

What a cute, sweet, fake dating romance. Tate and Scarlett are opposites. But they do say, that opposites attract. Her long time crush ends up at her party. And this party is the second chance that Tate was looking for. This book is about new beginnings and a love so sweet, you won’t want to put this book down.

3.5 Stars

This was a sweet fake dating romance story between a musician and a society princess. I liked the premise of her dad hiring her teenage crush to perform at her birthday party. Tate is the musician who was on the way to stardom when the band crashed and burned. Scarlett is the rich girl with a crush on her childhood friend ( who really is an idiot I don't know what she saw in him ) and on her way to being a social media influencer. A kiss between them goes viral and a plot is hatched to capitalise on the publicity. I did like the book but it is not on my favourite list of this series. Some parts of the story dragged on, like how much time it took for them to actually get them on tour. I liked the premise of the storyline and the characters. I wanted more from the ending, a little look at their future would have been good.

The sweet heiress trying to live up to her parents name and prestige but also wanting to stand apart. Her boy band crush plays at her 18th birthday party and a kiss starts a whole fake dating situation.
He sounds broody and hot but has been through so much since he was kicked out of his band. This is his second chance! He needs her for this second chance and she needs him to make the guy she likes jealous. Though I can feel the fake dating start to fall away as their forced proximity is making them closer and letting them learn more about each other.
Love rock star, fake dating and forced proximity.

Lonely For You Only
By Monica Murphy
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Scarlett is trying to escape her life and her family. She is just so over her everyday life and what comes along with it. Enter: Tate Ramsey kisses her and one of the best tropes EVER fake dating starts to unfold😍

As their fake dating turns to real feelings you start to really see their personal growth and I am HERE FOR IT. I loved this so much. Tate is just giving me so many bad boy vibes and this is so “he falls harder”🥹 I loved their banter and just watching them overcome issues together and separately. Such a great read!! 🩷🩷

Thank you @val & @moni for the arc & these goodies😍

I've read and enjoyed every single book from the Lancaster Prep world and I was so excited to read Scarlett's story and the cover looked so pretty just like every other Lancaster Prep book, so I was very excited to read this story. But unfortunately, the characters fell flat. Scarlett had a lot of potential but she came across as a spoiled little whiny rich kid who threw tantrums when she did not get her way. Initially I liked Tate but his constant monologues about everything he did wrong in the past got irritating. And marketing this book as erotica just wasn't fair because it really had very few steamy scenes. Honestly, apart from the first few chapters and the writing, nothing about the book was memorable. So overall, it was a 2.75 star read at it's best for me. Hope the next book written by her does not disappoint.

Lonely For You Only is a coming to age romance between a has-been popstar and a heiress desperate to make a name for herself.

Scarlett's parents through her a lavish 18th birthday party and surprises her with the boy band she loves in middle school. It's someone she wouldn't have guessed, but she did love them at one point. However, the band broke up and only a more handsome Tate Ramsey performs all of the bands old songs.

Tate Ramsey is a has-been popstar from a boy band. He ruined his career with all the fame with alcohol and drugs. Desperate for money, he agrees to perform his old band's songs at some rich girls birthday. Wanting to avoid all bad publicity, he encourages Scarlett to kiss him in the hallway at her party.

Little do they know how that will greatly affect them and the opportunity that opens up for Tate. He's focused and doesn't want to run this second chance. Tate had a strong feeling that Scarlett was innocent and inexperience however he used that to his advantage to convince Scarlett to be his fake girlfriend. The whole vibe of that was a bit crummy to me and just rubbed me the wrong vibe. Tate felt attracted to her, but did out his career first. When things got more serious I questioned the sincerity of his feelings and at times felt bad for Scarlett.

Now I want to go and read the other books by her after reading this book. I loved Scarlett and Tate together. I think they both had character development. I'm happy how the book ended

When Scarlett turns 18, she is surprised by her dad when he was able to hire Tate from Five Car Racing whom she has loved since she was 13. Scarlett is offered the deal of a lifetime and agrees, this starts as a fake relationship because Tate is in need of picking up his public image, and it turns into something more. They have a few struggles along the way not knowing what was read or what was fake but in the end, they were able to have a cute slow burn romance.

This book was good. It wasn't the best from Monica Murphy but it was a good storyline. The only thing that I had a hard time with was how fast everything happened. I usually say how books should be shorter but in this case, I needed more substance! I loved Tate's character, he was such a cinnamon roll in a bad boy exterior but still with a little gruffness to him (which isn't confusing at all..). I had to remember the characters ages sometimes because our girl Scar was killing me at times but I saw some character development throughout the book for sure and she eventually grew on me.

Overall, I really wanted to know more about what happened with certain things that I felt were kind of left off and just wanted more from the story itself. It just felt a little rushed, but it was a quick and fun read! I mean, I read it in a day... so I ate that shit up.

If Monica Murphy writes it, i'm going to read it. ESPECIALLY if it's apart of the Lancaster Prep series. These books i will forever recommend to anyone who loves a good spicy romance.
Her writing style is so easy to read, she is the master of a slow burn love story but at the same time is great at just giving us the good stuff ;)

Confident Tate and Sassy Scarlett gave us that perfect slow burn love story and i totally ate it all up.
Loved Lonely For You Only and can't wait to read more of whats to come from Lancaster Prep!

I was really looking forward to read Scarlett Lancaster ‘s story and I loved it!
Monica Murphy is one of those authors you can depend on every time to give you a great book that will give you everything you want in a story.
Scarlett’s parents would do anything to make her happy and when they throw the party of the year, money was not an issue. What Scarlett wants, Scarlett will get. She wanted Taylor Swift or Harry Styles or any member of 1D … SURPRISE she got Tate Ramsey from the Five Car PileUp… her crush when she was a teen!
Tate is back on the spotlight and Scarlett who is now 18 , is determined to prove herself as an independent woman. I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow , they are both endearing and their story is angsty and addictive at the same time. The fake relationship comes with its challenges but they are both determined to face them together and fall in love along the way.

A former teen rockstar with a trashed career, Tate is ready to make a comeback.
Scarlett is a Lancaster, rich and privileged, but quiet and she wasn’t exactly expecting the rock star that turned up for her party.
An unplanned kiss that goes viral sends this young pair on a fake relationship journey that builds to more.
A sweet, cute, slow burn with a growing attraction between two loveable characters. Some steamy moments, a little angst and some support characters that easily capture your heart.

Thank you to the author and Valentine PR.

Scarlet Lancaster is beyond excited for her 18th birthday. Her father is surprising her by hiring a famous popstar to perform at her birthday. Having just finished high school and about to take a fantastic European vacation for her gap year things couldn’t be much better. Until the surprise musical entertainment is not quite who Scarlet thought it would be. Scarlet is thrown for a bit of a loop. When the guys she wants the attention of doesn’t seem to want her attention and someone that she thought was a husband gets her attention in more ways than one.

Tate Ramsey has lived a life. He’s performed for thousands and thousands of people, and gave himself a bit of a reputation as a Bad Boy. Falling into the Rockstar life of partying, his days in Five Car Pileup came to an end. Tate has spent some time getting his life back together, getting healthy and he’s trying to make a comeback. He is approached with an opportunity of a lifetime to play the birthday party of an 18-year-old girl. Hesitant at first, he’s decided that the payday is definitely worth it. However, what he didn’t expect was to have an heiress hit him hard in the heart.

Lonely For You Only is a coming of age, find yourself, light hearted, fake romance romance. I have to be honest I found myself putting this book down quite a bit through the first 2/3 of the story. I have to say it’s not that it was a bad story. It just didn’t have anything that kept me turning most pages. I am a big believer in giving every page a chance. Once I hit the last third of the book, I found that I was able to get into it a little bit more. I absolutely love the ending and I loved that Scarlet and Tate found a way to make them work.
