I really enjoyed the authors voice and the gentle instruction and suggestions used through the book. The way the author separated the sections was nice. It was an easy read, with some great instruction. I'd like to get this as a print copy for my witchy shelf.

I did enjoy this book and its focus on self empowerment. However I felt as if it switched back and forth between assuming you knew a lot about witchcraft and spelling things out for beginners. It didn't cover some things because the author assumed you already knew but did cover things that the same group would know. If it went into a little more details on a few things instead of assuming the reader knew it already this would be a perfect book for beginners,

Great Book for Beginners

Linda Murphy states that she is a witch and has been for a long time. She states that Wicca is her personal religious choice and it includes many different forms including Gardnerian Wicca, Ceremonial Magick , and folk practices.

She provides background information on Wicca and a brief history of modern Wicca. Additionally, she discusses the Wheel of the Year, which is the magickal calendar that many witches follow as part of the ongoing evolution of the earth and of themselves. She provides a yearlong spell, which is a commitment because it works directly with the eight sabbats. Each spoke adds another layer to the spell’s accomplishment of its goal.

The author provides many spells and exercises, to include an abundance Spell, cleaning the closet spell, and others. She discusses tools of the craft, the elements, and various other aspects of Wicca and witchcraft.

I found this book very interesting and informative, especially, for a beginner. I highly recommend it.

There is so much information and highly practical advice that really works to empower readers. A must have!!!

Written by a very experienced seasoned witch. Empowerment Though Witchcraft by Linda Murphy delivers. It covers witchcraft from A to Z. Not only does the author deliver multiple ways to practice, she also talks about what has worked for her over the years. Empowerment Through Witchcraft is like having a very well qualified big sister witch take you by the had and guide you forward on your magical journey. This book is an absolute gold mine for new witches, and seasoned witches as well.

I loved this book!. It is written by someone who actually practices the procedures she recommends and the reasons why she advises to do certain things. The activities are meaningful and simple. The seasons, the circle, the God and Goddess are explained . The concept of praying to a God is explained as well as what happens when you do. I cannot think of a better book for newbies or anyone in the Craft for that matter , Lots of new material and obvious thought went into this book. Very timely too.

Wiccan or not, this book is chock full of great information, including rituals, exercises and spells that you can perform. The astral journey section was my favorite part of the book. I’ll be re-reading and working through the book for the near future.

This book focuses on Wicca and pulling down energy. Pulling down energy not just from the moon or sun, but from planets, comets, and meteors. I can honestly say that’s a new one for me. I enjoyed reading about the different sun phases, what the planets can help with and even connecting with storms. This book also explains Wicca and how it works as well as the rolls that one may take. It is all very interesting and a great read if you’re curious about Wicca/Wiccans. It also has a wonderful section on astra journeys, meditation, past life work and familiars just to name a few. This book is very informative and I enjoyed reading it.

This is perfect for someone new and wanting to dabble in Wicca. Very easy to read and understand. From beginning until the end, this book will give you everything you need to get started to cast spells and rituals with an understanding in all of the basics.

A very light, easy introduction for those unfamiliar with Wicca (like me!). Lots of practical spells, exercises, meditations, etc. so you can learn as you go.
