this was a strong start to this series, it had that young adult horror elements that I was looking for and enjoyed the overall story being told. The characters had a great feel to it and enjoyed how the humor was used in the horror novel. It left me wanting to read more in this series and from Patrick Carman. Patrick Carman has a great writing style and it was perfectly done.

Short, fast-paced, absurd story that middle graders will love. Jenny talking to the reader throughout is a fun touch, and the ending nicely sets up the second book in the series.

The Terror in Jenny’s Armpit is the first in a series and I think it sets a good stage for moving forward with future books. I found the story to be goofy with enough suspense to draw in readers with quick pacing. I imagine this story will be a hit especially with 6th graders. I enjoyed the quirky characters and their made up slang. Here’s to following Jenny, Fen, and Barker as they uncover the secrets of Nevermind.
