Great story. I feel like I've waited forever for Hannah's story and it was Beautiful, it had an unexpected ending. I loved the characters old and new. Erik and his generals were awesome and I can’t get enough of the Four Horsemen and their wives. Well written and edited

I adored this book. This was a "new to me" author and I am definately going to read the other books in this series. I LOVED the historical references at the beginning of each chapter. This book was funny, a few tears, some anger and all of the feels. Libby and Trix are HILARIOUS. I've added this to my "read again" list.

Hannah Sinclair, the only sister to the four Horseman is in danger of becoming a spinster. She is several years away from being 30 years of age and she desperately wants to be a mother. Her brother's protectiveness of her has ensured that none of the men who live in their town have shown an interest in her for fear of the repercussions. She meets Erik Halverson, a warrior from Norway who is pretending to be a trader when in actuality he is in her town to bring Hannah back to Denmark so that she can be held by the dowager Queen of Denmark in an attempt to control her brothers. Hannah is attracted to Erik and she decides to use him to have a baby. She thinks that he will sail away back to his home and will be free of any danger from her brothers. Erik and his warriors kidnap Hannah and unbeknownst to them her two nieces, Libby and Trix stow away on their ship. What happens next is not to be missed as her brother, Bas, the God of Death and her sisters in law, along with their small children follow them to Denmark in an attempt to rescue Hannah. Will Hannah's brother's allow her to have a life of her own? Or will she be forced to return home without Erik? Another great installment in the Sons of Sinclair series. I would recommend picking up this story to find out what happens. It is steamy, with lots of animus between Hannah's brothers and Erik and his band of warriors and a HEA.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and Entangled and I am voluntarily leaving a review

I wasn't sure Hannah would get her own so imagine my surprise when I received this ARC. And with how protective her brothers have been with her it only makes sense that the man suitable for Hannah would be a Norse warrior.

Erik Halverson had no choice but to follow the orders of the Royal House of Denmark. His family's honor is on the line, so he sails to Scotland, to find his enemy's weakest link. So he abducts Hannah Sinclair never thinking she would fight back.

With four brawny brothers, Hannah has had to learn to stand tall and defend herself. So when Erik abducts her, she plans to make it as hard as possible for the Norse warrior. Even warning him that her brothers will come after her and declare war before ever letting themselves be used by the royals.

He must fight his attraction to Hannah as there are plans in place for when she is delivered to Denmark. Hannah will use that to her advantage if it saves her from those plans.

Thanks so much to the author and Entangled Publishing for this ARC to review.

Hannah Sinclair is the only sister to four of the most feared Highland Warriors Scotland has seen. Because of her over protective brothers she is still a virgin spinster at nearly thirty years old. Her brothers have all found love and babies are everywhere. Our heroine is determined to have a child of her own. She is also a woman who has learnt a lot from watching her brothers.

Erik Halverson and his men have been ordered to complete a dangerous mission or his sister will remain a captive. Our hero is a Wolf Warrior , one of the elite in Norway and Denmark. Nothing can stand in his way.

This is an action packed, steamy historical romance. It's also the fifth book in a series. You could read and enjoy it on its own, but to really understand the danger facing our hero you need to know about the brothers. They have their great stories in the previous books. All the characters are fabulous particularly two fearless little girls. A wonderful tale from first to last page.

I loved it.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

After the four Horseman of the Apocalypse found their wives, it is time for their sister, Hannah to find love. She has a hard time finding any who can even come close to standing up to her brothers as they scare away all her suitors.

So, she is surprised to find herself attracted to Erik - who says he is a merchant but is really a warrior who has been forced into abducting Hannah to save his sister. Quite a drama and conundrum! Save his sister or betray a woman he is starting to fall for.

With their strange upbringing, Hannah is not a pushover and does not go quietly when abducted! She also knows that she needs to find a way out of this mess or her brothers could be killed or used as pawns by the Queen.

Loved how Hannah did not sit back and wait for rescue but was a great strategist and wanted to get all of them out of this tangled mess and far away from Denmark!

Highland Surrender is the fifth book in the Sons of Sinclair series and tells the story of Hannah, the only Sinclair daughter. With four fierce warrior brothers, it’s no surprise that Hannah is also a fierce and strong character. She’s lethal with the bow, but has plenty of other tricks up her sleeve when it comes to defending herself. She’s also a 29 year-old virgin, protected from suitors by her brothers, who are determined to keep her safe, no matter her own wishes. One of those wishes is to have a baby of her own and when Norwegian Erik Halverson appears on the scene, she decides he is the perfect candidate to help her make one. Erik has arrived at Girnigoe Castle, Hannah’s home, as a trader, though it’s very apparent he is also a warrior. Unbeknownst to Hannah, Erik has a secret mission and she’s the target. Despite Erik’s actions, Hannah can’t help but fall for him and it soon becomes clear that he’s developing feelings of his own for her. With plenty of external conflict, both physical and emotional, this is bot a romance for the faint-hearted. It’s a fast-paced and action-packed rollercoaster of a story with plenty of twists to keep readers turning the page. While at times not entirely believable, I really loved this book.

This was a good paced story with quite a bit of action. I had read the other stories in this series so it was good to read the sister’s (Hannah) story. Her brother’s were very protective of Hannah, too much for Hannah’s liking. She was nearly 30 and wanted a child of her own. Erik Halverson has arrived on the Sinclair lands and although he is attracted to Hannah, he has a mission of his own. There are two mischievous imps who are usually in trouble but are well meaning. I did enjoy this story very much, plenty of passion, danger and a satisfying ending. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Last in series and it is amazing!
I was so in hopes we would get a story about Hannah Sinclair who had been in the background (and sometimes more) of each book about her brothers: Cain, Gideon, Joshua and Bàs with whom she had a very close relationship as she “mothered” him after their mother died. I highly recommend any of these books but maybe especially Bàs’ book for explanation of why and how they are so close.
Last book in the “Sons of Sinclair” series which has fascinated me from the first book where we learn in his grief, the patriarch of the Sinclair clan, George begins to think of his four sons as the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: Cain is the Horseman of Conquest; Joshua of War; Bàs of Death and Gideon is the Horseman of Justice. I dare you not to get chills when they repeat their passages from Revelations regarding their particular counterpart. It sure sways their enemies. Along the way their sister Hannah has learned a thing or two about the art of the battle.
Lots of fist-pump moments enough to make you want to sing I am woman, hear me roar. Wink! Hannah is fooled by the attentions of Erik Halverson but to what end? There is method to his reasoning. Will war be averted? Will almost-thirty-year-old Hannah get what she has wanted for so long? There were just as many touching moments. This book made me smile, cry and say ah more than once. If you like any of this review, you will want to read this book. I volunteered to review an ARC of it through Entangled/NetGalley. I would give it more than five stars if I could.

Oh I absolutely loved Heather McCollum’s last book so I was very excited to read Highland Surrender and continue the Sons of Sinclair series. This book follows the Sinclair brothers sister Heather and the Norwegian warrior Erik. Heather really wants to have a child of her own especially after helping out with all of her sister-in-law‘s children. Problem is she has four brothers that scare away any man that comes her way but she’s determined to get pregnant. Eric has other plans he’s on a mission to bring back the most important thing the Sinclair Brothers hold dear: their sister. How will these two end up together?
It was an interesting journey for these two but to be honest I feel for some of the side characters more. Trix and Libby and the Norse friends were some of the best parts of this book. Plus Heathers books always treat you to the wonderful Scottish history but we got more with Norway/Denmark history this time as well. Always a great story by Heather and I look forward to more books from her.

Highland Surrender is a fantastic read and continues the story of the Sinclair Clan. I was so excited to see that Hannah got her happy ending!

Hannah Sinclair, the only sister of the Sinclair siblings, was often overlooked and ignored. It can happen when your brothers are 4-badass and sexy warriors called the Horsemen of the Apocalypse. When an intriguing stranger comes into their village Hannah is intrigued and ready to step into her own womanhood.

Erik is a warrior from Norway on a mission that includes going against what his heart tells him. He has to choose between what his body and heart are telling him to fulfill his duty. Can he have both?

Such a phenomenal read from an author who I have yet to not enjoy. The entire Sons of Sinclair series was great with Highland Surrender being such a satisfying ending.

I enjoyed this book much more than I was expecting to--I plan to read the whole series and look into other books from the author!

This book is a rousing finale of the Sons of Sinclair series. I loved all the characters especially since the author gave ALL the female characters such strong and independent personalities, even the young girls Beatrix and Libby. (Their escapades were hilarious.) I liked how the alpha males listened to and followed the women’s battle suggestions. I particularly loved the scene where Hannah was educated on physical romance by her sisters in law. While Hannah and Erik do get their HEA, I’m not sure how Erik would realistically feel living under the rule of his brothers in law after having been leader of the Wolf Warriors for so long. I don’t see Erik being a simple farmer especially with his fighting and leadership skills. Maybe he becomes the fifth Horseman?

Highland Surrender is the fifth and final instalment of the Sons of Sinclair series by Heather McCollum. While the first four books focus on each Sinclair brother named for the four biblical horseman, this final book is centred around their beloved sister Hannah.

Hannah Sinclair has always been the quiet, shy sister of the Sinclair brothers. Always in the background taking on whatever role needs to be played for her Clans safety. While her brothers all found love and strong wives, Hannah has always been protected and never allowed to seek her own happiness.

While her brother’s are away on Kings business, Hannah decides to seduce the Norwegian silver trader that has recently landed on their shores. Little does she know, he is no silver trader and the Sinclair sister is what he is there for.

After Hannah is abducted by the fierce warrior she knows her brother’s will come for her in revenge. As Hannah and Erik spend the voyage to Denmark together, there is no hiding their attraction to each other.

Hannah and Erik need to devise a plan that will allow them to explore this new relationship among political powers threatening to destroy both of their families.

I really enjoyed Hannah and Erik’s story. This was a perfect ending to a series of epic love stories. This is a 4 star read for me. I highly recommend the entire series, I’ve done both audio and physical book and loved them both. The series does not need to be read in order but you do see all other characters throughout each of the books. Excellent storytelling and family threading throughout the series.

I found it difficult to organize all the characters when I first started reading. Cute storyline but I had trouble getting through this one. Not sure if it was not knowing story of other characters. I would try reading series from beginning and maybe appreciate the book better.

When at the end of the book the title makes totally sense. Awwww!

The Sinclairs are one of the most wonderful clan! I love all brothers and their wives - and now it's time for Hannah to get her story!

Hannah is the sister of the Sinclair brothers. She's always there for her family and would love to have her one too. Then one day there comes the silver trader Erik Halverson from Norway... but... he isn't really a trader, but the leader of the Wolf Warriors. In Scotland to put their plan into action. Hannah Sinclair plays a huge role in this plan... but she's doesn't know it yet.

Awwwwww! What a fabulous enemies-to-lovers historical romance!
Well, I discovered Heather McCollum this year and what can I say? I AM ADDICTED!
Highland Surrender was another brilliant story full of suspense, drama, love and laughter! I totally devoured the story of Hannah and Erik because I loved their chemistry! The banter between them was perfect! ❤️
I really really enjoyed it!
Hannah is an inspiring, strong and independent woman! OMG! I looooove her!!!
And the way she dealt with Erik? All the stuff he kept from her... OMG!
Well there's so much going on! And I can't say too much because I don't wanna spoil you!

Okay, anyway!
I LOVED THIS BOOK! 😍

Thanks a lot to Heather McCollum and Entangled Publishing for this ARC via NetGalley.
This is my honest review in my own words.

Everything you want in a book about Highlanders is found in this latest addition to the Sons of Sinclair series!

Even better, it is the sister of those brothers who finally gets her story! Intrigue, honor, strong women and of course love will find it's way into her heart.

So great!

Highland Surrender is the fifth, and final book, in the Sons of Sinclair series but it can be read as a stand-alone (which I did). The story follows Hannah Sinclair, the only sister of the Sinclair horseman and Erik Halverson, the leader of the Norway-Denmark Wolf Warriors. Erik is sent on a mission to abduct Hannah for the Dowager Queen Sophie. But when Erik gets to Scotland and has a chance encounter with a woman, he doesn't know that it's Hannah who's intrigued him. Hannah has a yearning to become a mother and at almost 30 is willing to do just about anything to make it happen. The story is told from both Erik & Hannah's viewpoints as they both work towards their goals. But along the way those goals change until they're not sure what they really want. Of course, with Hannah's abduction her brothers rush to her rescue. There were a lot of references to the brothers and their wives' stories, but I didn't feel that I was truly missing anything by not reading their books. Throughout the book you cannot help but feel torn between rooting for the Sinclair's and the Wolf Warriors. Then when you mix in Trix and Libby there's always mischief afoot.
This was an enjoyable historical romance that kept me reading well into the night.

Highland Surrender by Heather McCollum is a riveting Highlands’ tale of the sister of the four Sinclair brothers. They were the fiercest of Scottish warriors known as the Four Horsemen, and for them family was everything. Erik Halverson and his Wolf brothers were in Scotland to ascertain if Hannah was important enough to them, and if so, abduct her and take her to the throne of Sophie, Dowager-Queen of Denmark. Sophie had assured his compliance by holding his own sister, his only living family, until such time as he delivered Hannah. Sadly she made it easy for him as she had decided it was time she rid herself of her maidenhead and he was the man for the job. She wanted a child and there was only one way to get one. Plus he lived across the ocean so she wouldn’t need to bother with him. She was seducing; he was kidnapping. Her sisters of the heart, her brother’s wives anticipated her success and so did not notice she was gone immediately. Only one brother was at home but he followed immediately, with all the wives insisting they go, too, leaving only a message for his brothers.

Erik eventually tupped Hannah and it was the best thing that had ever happened to her. What he had done was treason as she was meant to marry a Danish chancellor, but he could’t resist. Erik was a good man. He hated what he was doing but his sister meant everything to him. When they rested along the way, he and his men helped the farmer they imposed upon, even capturing their tormentor, Patrick Stewart, son of the traitor Robert who the Four Horsemen had already delivered to the king. Erik didn’t know where his allegiance lay: his sister or Hannah, and by proxy, her brothers. But, they came up with a plan and were all allowed to leave Denmark. Dowager-Queen Sophie was not happy she’s been outsmarted and Erik was beyond broken to watch Hannah sail away. It was a good adventure and a decent romance. It is about men and women of honor who strive to flourish in a tremulous world. McCollum wrote a good book.
