I really enjoyed the hypnotherapy storyline. That I something new and interesting that I have never read in a book. Yet, I felt the chemistry between the main characters, Savannah and Mason, was lacking. The characters were also pretty immature for their age and the reason that they were "enemies" was not my favorite plot point.

Even with all that, I am still giving it a three stars. I really enjoy the author's writing style and I did like some of the side characters.

I want to thank the publisher and author for proving an advance reader copy via NetGalley for my honest review. I have read several of Sariah's novels and enjoyed them. This one however, is not my favorite. The lead character held so much bitterness towards others. I could not seem to connect with Savanah. I think the extended amount of conflict made the story drag on. I did enjoy the ending and epilogue. I will look forward to her next book. I am sure many will love it and disagree with me. This was just not my cup of tea.

This was such a fun friends to enemies to lovers story. I liked Savannah right off the bat and enjoyed learning more about hypnosis. I have major needle phobia and have considered going through hypnosis but there seems to be a stigma around hypnosis. I was glad that was addressed in the book. Even though this was a light hearted read overall it was great that some serious topics (eating disorders, teachers behaving inappropriately with students) were touched on as well. I always love a good twin bond and really enjoyed the close relationship that Savannah and Sierra shared.

This book is a friends to enemies back to lovers troupe. Savannah can’t forget or forgive her high school friend/crush, Mason, for standing her up for a dance and something else that is yet to be revealed. I absolutely loved this book. The cover is amazing and so is the story. Enjoy reading about Savannah and Mason and their antics. I loved the underlying sizzle of romance the entire book. Savannah’s twin adds a bit of comedic relief to an already funny book and I loved her character. A great romcom!

This was a cute, fun romance and I am so glad that Savannah and Mason finally got their time. They seem perfect and I was so sad they missed out on 6 years together due to a misunderstanding and zero communication.

I’d like a follow-up on Sierra and Bridgette’s love lives now, please.

Thanks to NetGalley, Montlake, and Amazon Publishing for this copy of "Hypnotized By Love."

Savannah and Sierra are identical twins and Mason Beckett is their childhood friend who broke Savannah's heart in high school. She's never forgiven him... but then he makes an appointment with her for hypnotherapy. What could go wrong?

The characters and storyline were delightful, but I did feel a bit disconnected from them. For instance, I thought Savannah should have been loads angrier with Mason in the beginning, even if he is charming and handsome.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for providing me with this ARC in exchange for my objective review.

2.5 stars.

Sigh... I really wanted to like this story as Sariah Wilson is one of my favorite authors. The story started out well but Savannah's repeated refusal to let Mason explain himself was SO annoying. There were parts that were funny with some snarky dialogue that I found enjoyable and the love scenes were very romantic; one of Wilson's talents as a writer. The book was good enough to read to the end with no skimming but certainly not one of my favorites of Wilson's books.

I really enjoyed three of her most recent books: "The Hollywood Jinx", "Almost Like Being in Love", and "Party Favors" and recommend the reader to check out those instead.

Hypnotist Savannah Sinclair is a hard-working hypnotist currently going through a rough time but when her high school nemesis Mason breezes back into town wanting to become her new client for an article will he help or hinder her career? And will she finally be able to mend her own hear that he broke?
This was a fast paced, adorably written closed door romance with enemies to lovers and a second chance romance trope.
This book was a very easy read and the pacing flowed very smoothly. I really enjoyed the relationship between savannah and her twin sister, and the book broached on some very serious but important topics such as disordered eating and abuse of power between a teacher and student. The topics were handled very well within the book.
The book was very funny and the banter between the MFC and MMC kept me grinning throughout the story,
Although I did enjoy the book there were still parts that I thought could have been better, the whole premise of the book with the hypnosis was actually used very rarely and I think it would have been really interesting to delve deeper into that side of things.
I also usually really enjoy the miscommunication trope as long as its not used too heavily and within this story it was used throughout the whole book. Savannah was described several times as someone who promotes and had been to therapy herself but then refused to listen to important facts throughout the book which I found incredibly frustrating and didn’t really fit with the character.
Overall I did enjoy the book, I read it within a day and I think it’s the perfect easy going book or palate cleanser to read between bigger books or you want a quick read. I would read more of this authors work.

Hypnotized by Love is the latest Sariah Wilson novel, and it was also featured on Amazon’s First Reads list in the UK. This is a second-chance romance between childhood rivals Savannah and Mason.
Savannah is a hypnotherapist. She has worked hard to reach a level of credibility in her career, and it has recently been jeopardized by a male patient who was angry when he was turned down when he asked Savannah for a date and began a rampage to discredit her in every way possible. With Savannah being on probation she has no room for error in her job.
Mason has returned to his home town. After writing his first novel which reached the bestseller list through his father paying for the status and a failed second novel, Mason is back home hoping to write an article shifting his career to reach better success. The hopeful topic for this article is the success or scam behind hypnosis and who better to help with this than his rival Savannah?
After an initial hypnotherapy session with Savannah that was cut short due to a fire alarm going off, Mason starts acting differently which concerns Savannah.
The two obviously have chemistry and their banter is funny. I found that around 60% of the novel was wasted potential. The author could have written more about Savannah’s threatened career and how dangerous false allegations can be. I understand the premise, but I think a large number of people are sceptical about hypnosis, so reading about it in a romance book might not work for them, and unfortunately, I may be one of them. After their initial session, the hypnotherapy part of the book took a big back seat. Miscommunication was a massive block between Mason and Savannah and that’s one of my pet peeves in romance books. A lot of their conflict could have been resolved fairly quickly.
Thank you for the eARC!

I had high hopes after the build up of the hypnosis, but we got further and further from it with many extreme twists and turns. The fmc was more immature than I expected her to be and written to be “quirky” but it came off as inauthentic.

In certain parts, the story suffered from what could be an editing issue. There were things repeated often, jumps in the plot, which led to the ending feeling a bit rushed.

Loved this book! I really loved the relationship between the twin sisters. The chemistry between Mason and Savannah was flirty and funny, which is the best combination ever!

However, I kind of wanted to know more about hypnotherapy since it is in the title. I don't think that part was emphasised that much in the book.

Thank you NetGalley and Headline for the ARC!

Cover colors were catchy and inviting. Gives the vibe between hallmark movie and a Ali hazelwood book. Loved the view on hypnosis. But the Savannah for her career and age I felt a lot younger and showed some very unhealthy traits that were hard to read time and time again with conflicts that came up. Also I feel like mason “just loving” her when he was 15 and didn’t give much into how, why or much background to it. And come on 6 years with no contact and he’s still holding a touch for her? It was a quick easy read over all I give it a 3.5 star, would still recommend this to my romcom loving friends.

This was a quick and quirky read! Mason was an absolute sweetheart! I had a fun time reading this and I would recommend it for those who like reading a childhood rivals (not really) falling in love. I really loved how everyone else sees what Savannah can't!

Alright, LISTEN!!!! I might have found a new author for my favorites list in Sariah Wilson. I've had The Chemistry of Love on my Kindle TBR for years now. YEARS. There's no reason why I haven't read it, just some random mental block I guess, because it sounds like a very interesting book. When I saw Hypnotized by Love in the 'Read Now' section on NetGalley, I was instantly drawn to the cover. Now, imagine my surprise when the author turns out to be the very same one that's frozen in amber on my little e-reader!!!!! Suffice it to say I will be reading The Chemistry of Love soon because I ADORED this one!!

Summary
Savannah Sinclair is a hypnotist hopelessly devoted to helping others. Mason Beckett is a failed author looking to write an article he hopes will take his career to the next level. Can I make it any less obvious?
It just so happens that this article must be a slam piece on exposing his hometown hypnotist for the fraud she is. AND that hypnotist also happens to be his childhood nemesis, Savannah. What more can I say?
In order for Mason to gather information on hypnosis, he asks Savannah to put him under. But their session is interrupted, she's unable to bring him out of his trance. Chaos ensues, and Savannah must chase Mason around town to keep him safe from himself.

My Thoughts
Mason, Mason, Mason. You crazy son of a bitch!!!!!! I know what you are!!! I'm so obsessed with him and the way he interacts with Savannah. Their dynamic is so much fun to witness. Savannah's personal obstacles and flaws that she has to overcome are so real and relatable. I felt like I was reading a book about my own life at certain points.
This really just was such a wonderful traditional romance book. And it's clean btw.

Thank you NetGalley, Sariah Wilson, and Montlake for the advanced reader's copy!!

I love how Sariah Wilson's characters always have unique professions. Savannah was a hypnotist. She and Mason Beckett were childhood friends who had a falling out due to a misunderstanding in high school.

Six years later, Mason was back in their small town to write an article about hypnosis. He was a skeptic, so he had a session with Savannah which ended up with him accidentally hypnotized into saying yes to everything. It didn't last long though, but he was way more open about his feelings for her.

I was invested for the first third of this book but quickly zoned out for the rest of it. Miscommunication was a major reason they hadn't talked for years. Also, Mason went all in but Savannah held back in doubt even though it was clear to everyone and their plumber that he loved her. She figured it out eventually 😅

Thank you to Netgalley and Publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Much too predictable and the drama was over the top. Impossible to count how many times she said she hates him, but all she does is think about him. Worst case of denial I have ever seen and it was like that from the first chapter.
I finally had to skim the rest of the book to see if there were any redeeming qualities and found none. This is a shame as I have liked other books by this author, but this one was either a quick write or written without thinking of the reader as a person with a brain. Very disappointing.
Thank you NetGalley for an advance reader copy. Opinions expressed here are my own and freely given.

I really wanted to love this book after reading the description, but I just could t find myself invested in the story line or characters. This one was a little too much drama for me personally.

Decent story it was fun and enjoyable. Main character Savannah has an amazing job as a hypnotist. Very different job and help shape the story line. More of an enemy to lover romance.

I've enjoyed reading Sariah Wilson's previous books, so I was excited to see that she has a new book coming out! "Hypnotized by Love" is centered around hypnotist Savannah and her high school rival, Mason. While Savannah had romantic feelings for Mason in high school (and thought he felt the same), he stood her up for the school dance and broke her heart. Now, decades later, Mason is back in her life and trying to get her forgiveness. However, Savannah isn't sure that he's changed and is unwilling to risk her heart again.

Unfortunately, I just couldn't root for Savannah. I understand her reticence, but she's so quick to be mad at Mason and think the worst of him. I also don't understand why Mason took so many years to try to apologize to Savannah (especially when he was in such close contact with her sister the whole time). Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

This was such a fun read! Adding everything Sariah Wilson has ever written to my tbr.

Savannah was a very lovable heroine (with a fascinating job as a hypnotist, which I genuinely did not think was a real thing that people did), and I loved the way she and her twin Sienna acted as dramatic foils, each illustrating the other one's flaws and traits. (Also, the fact that even their parents can't tell them apart but that Mason can was 100% predictable and I 100% swooned.) Mason is just a sweetheart with miles and miles of anxiety.

This was a sweet closed-door romance that didn't try to be anything other than what it is, and I loved that.
