Terry Spears paranormal romances are to0 shelf in my opinion. They are more than mates meet, fall in love, have an issue, resolve it, they live happily ever after.

No, Spears' books are a great mix of paranormal romance and crime thrillers. I love the mix of genres!

Anyway, this one was great. It kept me engaged from beginning to end. I found myself wondering what week happen next while I was working. It made me impatient to get back to reading, I love when a story does that to me.

I am looking into reading more by this author!

The second story in the Run with the Wolf, this Author always makes me feel like I am there watching as the story unfolds and she has done the same with this story. Agent Dylan Powers is on a mission in Silver Town to catch four evil men, but then he runs into trouble and is saved by ski lodge owner Roxie Wolff. A gripping story that kept me turning pages. The story is well worth reading.

I did not see that twist coming, then the twist upon twist, well done! I enjoy the shifters of Silvertown and watching a newbie come in and see everything for the first time made the series fresh all over. Sort of like seeing something through the eyes of children. Roxie's siblings are all mated. This is her book and we meet Dylan who works for Fish and Wildlife. He is searching for hunters who are hunting all out of season. Suspense, action, romance and the sense of family and community, Happy feels with some steam. Thank you for the arc! I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions. #AGoodWolfIsHardToFind #RunWithTheWolf #TerrySpear #SourcebookCasablanca #NetGalley

A Good Wolf Is Hard to Find by Terry Spear is book Two in the Run with the Wolf Series. This is the story of Roxie Wolff and Dylan Powers. Dylan is a special agent for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife department. Dylan has come to Rocky Mountains of Colorado on the hunt for poachers. But is caught by them and would have died if it wasn't for Roxie one of the owners of a lodge there. This starts their story.

I really enjoyed Spear's latest Paranormal/Shifter Romance. It had great characters, danger, suspense, some twists and turns, steam, and did I mention, there are shifters? I was kept entertained throughout the whole book.

Many thanks to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for an advance copy of this book. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor or expectation.

Had a hard time getting into this one, I love wolf romances with suspense but this one was kinda bland for me! Dylan is on the Hunter for illegal hunters and an illegal trapper. Roxie is the she wolf that saves him.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you for allowing me to review

This author always gives readers books filled with intrigue and romance enveloped in a strong sense of community. I can pick a Terry Spear book and know that it will be fun. The family units are close knit and embrace friends who become family. When Roxie pulls Dylan from the resort pull and saves his life, their adventure begins. I liked that Dylan didn't have to work alone to solve the case and how the pack members worked together to keep their home safe.

This book is a hard one to rate because I want to so much preface by saying it's not bad, and I did have a good time reading it. The problem is the entire time I was reading I felt so meh about it. There weren't any characters who stuck out to me, and there was no chemistry between the main characters.

It feels like the only reason they got together was because she saved him--there was no build up to everything, it's like they simply decided "Okay we're together now" and that was that. No flirting, tension, nothing.

Plot-wise, the situation with the hunters and everything definitely took over. Which isn't necessarily bad, except it wasn't really what I wanted to pick up the book for. That all being said, along with the fact that the description in the book is pretty lackluster with so much telling us what the characters are thinking vs showing them actually act out how they're thinking, I am going to give the book 3.5 stars.

Readers who have been waiting for the last Wolff sibling to have her own story can at last relax. Roxie Wolff discovers a man sinking facedown into the pool at the ski resort she and her brothers and sisters own. She rescues him and finds out he is a trained agent with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service on a mission. Agents chasing down poachers and other bad guys need some backup every now and then, and the wolves of Silver Town are ready to assist. If you thought that working for Fish & Wildlife was all about checking to see if hunting and fishing licenses were in order, just wait until you see what Dylan and his helpers deal with on this case.

Special Agent Dylan Powers is tough enough to track criminals through the wilderness, but also nurturing enough to help with an orphaned teen. Although she has dated other wolves in town, Roxie feels an attraction to Dylan because of his rugged good looks, his personality, and his dedication to protecting wildlife. Between snow storms, a mysterious man setting leg traps illegally around the area, poachers going after elk and wolves, a murder, the attempted murder of Dylan (after all, he wasn't in that pool unconscious for no reason), the runaway teen, and the daily demands of their jobs it seems like Roxie and Dylan will never have the time to see if they are right for each other.

Like all the shifter romances by Terry Spear this one includes plenty of action, suspense, and chemistry. Fans will also get to catch up on some of their other favorite characters - Roxie's siblings and their mates, their adorable pets Rosco and Princess Buttercup, other residents of Silver Town, and the staff at the resort. The recurring characters and setting make readers feel that they are a part of the Silver pack. For the stories about Roxie's siblings check out You Had Me at Wolf, Jingle Bell Wolf, and Wolf on the Wild Side.

Silver Town is the newest hunting spot for four men hunting illegally, putting the entire wolf-run town at risk. They're being tracked by Fish and Wildlife agent Dylan Powers, but they know he's there. An attempt on Dylan's life is made and he's saved by the ski lodge owner Roxie Wolff. As things heat up between Dylan and Roxie, they team up with Silver Town's police force, but is that enough to stop the hunters?

Thank you so much to Sourcebooks and Netgalley for an eARC of the book, I'm leaving this review voluntarily.

This book went by so quickly, and I enjoyed every moment of it. It had all of the elements that I wanted to read at the time; werewolves, murder-mystery and a bit of thriller. The attraction and chemistry between Dylan and Roxie took time to build throughout the book but it's clear there's a bit of instant attraction there, it works out though! I recommend giving this book a try!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

I was so happy that it was Roxie's turn as the final of the siblings to get her chance at a mate and happiness!

There was so much going on that it was entertaining and I had to read the book all the way to the end in one sitting as I wanted to know who the mysterious wolf was, were they going to get the trapper who kept putting out dangerous bear traps, and where was Jim?

Along the way, there were twists that I did not see coming and wow! Sorry, no spoilers as it would ruin the story if I gave that secret away.

And Dylan and Roxie were so good together and I loved seeing them grow closer to each other and more sure that they wanted to mate. And that we got to see the others in the pack, and boy, there were a lot of supporting characters and I love when we see the previous couples in the story so we can how their lives have progressed.

Great ending and wrap up to all the story lines in the book!

A Good Wolf is Hard to Find by Terry Spear
Run with the Wolf series #2. Spin off / similar to Heart series. Wolf shifter romantic suspense. Can be read as a stand-alone.

When she goes for a swim one night, she’s just in time to see a man fall into the pool, face first, with full outdoor gear and backpack. After rescuing him, she finds out he is an agent of Fish and Wildlife Services and someone just tried to kill him! As a wolf shifter himself, the town is fully behind Dylan Powers in finding the hunters that have gone into hiding after committing a murder. As Dylan recovers from a head injury, spending time with Roxie and falling in love, has him coming to the conclusion that living in a town of wolf shifters may be just the family he’s always craved.

Adventure, romance with steam, building family and community, and doing the right thing. All part of this author’s absorbing storytelling. I can read these romances like eating candy. Yummy, addictive and satisfying.
4.25

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I’ve read and enjoyed many of this authors shifter stories.

This paranormal romance is part of a series that is based in the wolf run town of Silver Town.
Our heroine is part of the family that run the local ski lodge. Our hero is a lone wolf who is a special agent for the Fish and Wildlife Service. He is on the trail of a group of hunters, known to be hunting illegally.
There is a lot of danger for many different characters in this story along with the spicy romance.
I have read the previous books ,but you don't need to have to enjoy this one. Although it will probably tempt you to buy the rest.
All the characters are wonderful and interesting. I fell in love with a fwe of them. The town certainly has a lot of great adventures. I can't wait for the next one.
Great fun.

An Engaging Storyline

The storyline grabbed me from page one and I could not put it down until it was finished!

I loved the way Dylan and Roxie connected from the start and how their romance progressed quite beautifully throughout the storyline all the while keeping the action and suspense going with a few surprises and lots of twists and turns along the way.

An entertaining shifter read within a much loved shifter community with lots of wonderful characters

I voluntarily read and reviewed this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Special agent for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Dylan Powers is on the hunt for poachers who he's been following for some time. As he closes in on their latest kill zone, high in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, he finds that he has become to prey. One of the hunters was able to ambush Dylan, nearly drowning him in the pool at a ski lodge. Fortunately for Dylan, one of the owners of the lodge and she-wolf, Roxie Wolff managed to save him from certain death. Dylan had never been a member of a pack, being orphaned at the age of sixteen. He finds himself falling in love with Roxie and with the wolf-run town of Silver Town, who welcome him in and help him to complete his mission, and apprehend the poachers.
Roxie and Dylan are dynamic together. They compliment each other's personality with Roxie being kind and loving, but also strong and resilient. Dylan is serious and focused on his job, but he's also open-minded and helpful. They make a great couple. The plot of the story was interesting enough to hold my attention from the beginning of the book and the pacing kept the story moving forward in a pleasant way. It was a very easy read and I did enjoy it quite a bit.
There were a few problems with the writing style which is my own personal issue and may not bother other readers. There were too many repeated phrases in some areas - "wolf coat"; "wolf-run" was worn at times. Phrasing in other areas of the book and choppy sentences in a few of the later chapters also brought me out of the story.
Overall, this book is a solid three-star book. The characters are sweet and the storyline is interesting. Would recommend this book to readers who love paranormal books and are looking for a Shifter book that doesn't have fated mates.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Okay, so.

A Good Wolf is Hard to Find is not the book for me.
There were a couple places in the story that the timeline was off. One character left the scene and met up with the main characters that same afternoon with a whole bunch of stuff going on. It would have been impossible for everything that happened to this character, happen to him in such a short time period. There were a few other spots too that felt out of sync.

Also, there are just too many details in the story. Just about every meal the main characters make is described in detail on how it's made and who makes what. There are a lot of details I don't think were necessary to the story. A lot of filler information. While some readers may enjoy having a lot of details, this would slow down the pace of the story and cause me to lose interest. I powered through the book though because the suspense aspect of the story is what kept me entertained. I needed to know what happened.

I think this would be a good story for readers who enjoy detail-heavy storylines. This one just wasn't for me.

This book was very well written and much different from any other werewolf romance I've ever read. I really liked that it wasn't the typical "scent, must mate now" type, as it helped with the character building within the story. The well-defined breaks between perspectives was very nice as well as it added an extra depth to the story itself. The theme, storyline, and characters were spot on and well-rounded. I can't wait to see if there will be more books along the same lines as this one.

Only issue I had was that it started out very slow for me, but it did pick up very quickly after the first chapter and kept my attention throughout the rest of the story. Once I got past that first chapter, it was difficult for me to set it down as it was action packed with a touch of romance and love.

2.5 Stars
As a fan of Terry Spear's other Heart of the Wolf series I was greatly disappointed in this latest book. While the plot its self was very interesting and had me going the actual writing fell short. I have read the majority of her works and in comparison it just felt like this book was rushed and not thought out. There were multiple instances of timelines not making any sense, (the kid they rescued goes to his new home in the morning and by the afternoon he has a job and a girlfriend ?) The actual story of looking for the murderer/hunters and the twists in it were good everything just really fell flat due to the choppy writing. At times it honestly felt like I was just reading a bullet list or outline of what was happening with little explanations or detail. I think this could have been a very good book it just was way underdeveloped.
