I really enjoyed Ziggy's appearances in some of the other books in the series and was definitely looking forward to her getting her own book. I liked the premise of the characters entering an arranged friendship to help alter their images. Ziggy's friendship will help soften Sebastian's bad boy image and in turn the relationship will help Ziggy appear more grown up and mature. The pair quickly discover that they enjoy each others company but soon find the lines blurring as their ability to deny their attraction becomes harder and harder.

I loved everything about this book. This is the first I read in the series and it worked great as a stand-alone, and got me so hooked I needed to read the rest!

Thanks @prhinternational for this ARC!

This series does not disappoint. I absolutely love both Ziggy and Seb with all of my heart!! The cameos from all of the other Bergmans and their partners was also so fun! Cant believe there’s only one book left in the series. Liese has been able to provide so many different views and representations in her stories while writing the sweetest romances and it just warms my heart every time. She will definitely be an author I continue to recommend!

Sebastian Gautier, a professional hockey player, needs to shed his bad boy reputation since he’s on thin ice with his team, and rapidly losing sponsors. Ziggy Bergman is the youngest on the National Soccer team, and is tired of being seen as the naïve, squeaky-clean girl. She wants to be recognized as the smart, capable woman she is. A recent run in with Seb, Ziggy’s brother’s best friend, has her thinking that they could help each other out by faking a friendship. By association Ziggy could polish Zeb’s reputation make it seem like he’s cleaning up his act a bit, and Ziggy might be taken more seriously and treated less like a little girl when seen with an edgy male.

Ziggy and Seb were very opposite: where one was weak, the other helped with a fresh, different perspective, assisting each other to grow in positive ways. Of course, being so close the fake friendship soon turns into a real one. Each feels the pull of attraction sparking between them as they get closer.

If Only You was a fun fake-friends-to-more romance! I enjoyed the clever banter and bits of humor that made me giggle more than a few times. I really appreciated that there was no third act drama and I enjoyed the neurodivergent and chronic illness representation that Ms. Liese included here, as she does with many of her romances, portraying characters with real-life problems, making them more relatable. I absolutely love the new covers Berkley has released for the whole series, but I especially love the one for If Only You with its vibrant, spring vibes!

I alternately read an e-copy and listened to an audio of If Only You and I recommend either version. CJ Bloom and Nelson Hobbs bring Ziggy and Sebastian to life with their wonderful performances. They definitely enhanced my enjoyment of the story. I listened at my usual 1.5x normal speed.

I absolutely love the representation that Chloe puts into her stories especially as someone that works in the disability advocacy space and I myself have some trauma that has manifested in anxiety, it truly makes me feel seen the way she writes her characters to be so real about their struggles.

If you love fake dating- I absolutely would recommend this one as it gives a bit of those vibes with the fake friendship for PR that Ziggy and Seb initiate. And the slow burn was sooo well done especially with Ziggy being autistic the taking time to grow their relationship felt so well written.

Thank you so much Berkley for my ARC in exchange for my honest review!

My very first Chloe Liese book and i will absolutely continue this interconnected standalone series. Chloe Liese's writing is so fun, easy, beautiful and at times emotional. She has an amazing way of writing stories that feel not only real but encapsulate so much of the human experience. Chloe Liese does such an amazing job at representing communities, cultures and groups who are often forgotten or misunderstood, we are so lucky to live in a world where this woman sheds light to the problems humans face on a daily basis, while simultaneously creating the most beautiful unique love stories.

If Only You, is such a fun, emotional read and Ziggy and Seb immediately captured my heart. Their dynamic, chemistry and character development was so well done. Their struggles and insecurities felt so real, and the progression of their relationship from fake friends to real friends to lovers was perfect. Their romance was completely swoon-worthy and i found myself giggling and smiling throughout most of their journey. Their chemistry and yearn for each other was so palpable. Their slow burn was one of my favorite parts of this book and getting to see the found family felt so nostalgic.

Such an amazing piece from Chloe Liese that has truly sparked my love for this series. Excited to continue my Bergman Brother journey and read more of her work.

Well... I think I found my new obsession. Chloe Liese and The Bergman Brothers series.

When I asked for this book to read I said... it must be just another romance. But there was SOMETHING that had caught my attention and I tried my luck. Already in the first pages where the author talks to us, the readers, and explains who the protagonists will be, I felt that it was going to be an interesting book to read. So it was.

I like those romances that make me stay hooked on reading not only because of the romance but because of its protagonists, because of the progress they have, because of how the bond develops... and that is why I feel that If Only You is a good read. very cute, light, that touches on mental health issues and also health in general (SPOILER such as celiac disease). I would have liked it to be discussed a little more, not to be mentioned once or three times and then not to see progress, but I think it was well thought out and very respectful.

Our protagonists seem to be so different but have so much in common that I fell in love with their bond. Your bond of strangers, fake friends, friends and something else. The truth is that when I finished reading the novel today I didn't want to separate myself from them. That's when I made the decision to look for the other books in the series.

The book will be published on April 11. Pay attention! And it can be read very well without having read the previous ones.

Thank you Berkley Publishing Group for the ARC I read on NetGalley.

An enemies (?) to friends to lovers story with all the feels.

Ziggy Bergman is constantly underestimated and treated like a baby and she's sick of it. She figures the best way to makeover her angelic image is to hang out with her brother's best friend (with a pretty dark reputation), Sebastian Gauthier. Sebastian's hockey career and sponsorships are at risk unless he appears to clean up his destructive ways, so he thinks a fake friendship for publicity with Ziggy will do the trick. But the fake friendship starts to feel real very quickly and Ziggy and Seb realize their unexpected friendship could be so much more.

For me, this was probably the most difficult story in the Bergman Brothers series to get into. Sebastian has so much self-sabotage at the beginning (check the content warnings) and is not really doing anything to redeem himself. Ziggy also seems very stuck and it's not totally clear if she'll be able to advocate for herself. However, as the book goes on, we really get to see both of them opening up and working on themselves in a way that's very inspiring. Like other books in the series, it really packs an emotional punch and I couldn't help but root for them.

We've seen bits and pieces of Ziggy in the previous books in the series, but this is the first time that we really got to see her full personality. I liked the interactions with her family and the chances for them to continue to grow as characters beyond what we saw in their own books.

Overall, I definitely recommend this book. If you like morally grey characters and redemption stories and sports romances, this one is for you. It's not an easy read, but it does feel like a warm hug and is a great story to curl up and read.

I have said it before and I will say it again, bow down to queen Chloe Liese, our fearless leader. The way she weaves disabilities into her novels never fails to amaze me.

If Only You is a sweet and beautifully crafted slow-burn romance (and when I say slow, I mean this is literally a slow, slow burn but well worth the wait!) that will leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. The MCs, Ziggy and Sebastian, are absolutely adorable and I fell in love with them right away (along with the other Bergmans).

Ziggy, who is tired of being underestimated and treated like a fragile thing, embarks on a journey of self-affirmation. And what better way to do that than hanging out with trouble incarnate and her brother's best friend, Sebastian Gauthier?

The author did an incredible job of developing the personalities of Ziggy and Sebastian. Despite being vastly different from each other, it was fascinating to see how they evolved from being fake friends to real friends and beyond.
I loved Ziggy’s strength as well as her kind and non-judgmental personality. Sebastian, on the other hand, really surprised me. Behind the 'bad boy' label, he was a very sensible yet tormented person, whose self-destructive behavior was his way to deal with his past. Where Ziggy found in him someone that really saw her, Seb found in Ziggy someone that could believe in him.

Their friendship was so sweet and authentic that even though they were into each other from the start, they held back for a while to avoid ruining it. And of course, that created some serious tension. I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for them to finally be together. And when they finally did, it was in the best possible, swoon-worthy way.

Overall, I highly recommend 'If Only You' to anyone who loves a good romance novel. It's a heartwarming story with an incredibly diverse cast that will leave you with a smile on your face.

Rating: 4.5/5
I received an eARC for my honest opinion.

Okay, I really need to do research before I request a book lol, I would have known that this was book 6. However, having not read the first 5 books, I was still able to understand what was going on in the plot and the characters. I will however backread those other 5 books, because this book was great. I am happy that this book could be read as a standalone because I would have been really lost on what was going on if it wasn’t.

I enjoyed this book and the author’s writing style; she knows how to drag out a slow burn in the best way possible. I thought the plot was believable and easy to see it playing out as a Netflix movie or Hallmark. I thought the events that brought Ziggy and Sebastian together were easy to relate to and let’s be honest, we all know what happens when you make a deal/pack with a sexy male or women… someone always falls.

I just adored Sebastian, yes even his brush off that he gives to people as a way of defense. He really is a sexy sweetheart deep down. I enjoyed getting to see how he would help Ziggy with her bad side and getting to watch Ziggy make Sebastian into an angel… well the best that she could hope for. I loved their character growth throughout the whole book, to see 2 completely opposites, find ways to connect and turn their new friendship into something more and more was so much fun to read. I thought their friendship and the slow burn really helped me to connect with the characters and to see the romance blossom into something beautiful. Oh, and how can I forget that swoon worthy romantic trip to the bookstore that Seb made happen for Ziggy… and it was afterhours too.

I thought Ziggy's character was cute, sweet, and I didn’t see her autism to be anything but a strength for her. She handles herself so well and knows what she can handle and can’t. However, it’s being treated like she is a baby or that she can’t or won’t break the rules that gets her thinking of the deal that is made between Seb and herself.

I enjoyed the topic of celiacs, this was my first book that showed what someone who has it goes through and the struggles that they might face having to learn a whole new lifestyle. I really enjoyed getting to see a healthy and mature take on a relationship, their communication was great even though they did have some issues, but they learned to talk about them and that is what I loved.

I can’t wait to read Viggo’s story and of course the first 5 books.

I want to thank NetGalley and Berkley for the opportunity to review this book.

4.25 stars!

This was a highly anticipated read of 2023 for me, and I loved venturing back into the Bergman family with Ziggy's story!

Ziggy has played such an important part of all of the other Bergman stories as the baby. I really fell in love with her in book two with her relationship with Ren and Frankie.

It was fascinating to get inside of Ziggy's head. This is quite a time jump and Ziggy's an adult now, trying to navigate in the world with her unique struggles and the way her family has been overprotective of her.

Seb was such a unique yang to Ziggy's ying. She's perfect for him in many, many ways.

I think I'll love all of everything that Chloe ever writes. Her characters are unique in their own persons, and I feel like her representation makes someone special feel seen in the world of fiction. I know I've felt that way about a book of Chloe's, so I hope this book brings that feeling to someone, too.

Thank you to the publisher, Berkley, and the author Chloe, and NetGalley for early access to the re-release of this one. These are my honest thoughts!

The Bergman Brothers series is one of my favorites and I was so excited to get to the youngest Bergman sibling (Ziggy’s) book. This was such a beautiful slow burn romance. I loved both Ziggy and Sebastian.

Ziggy plays professional soccer and Sebastian is a pro hockey player with Ziggy’s brother, Ren. Ziggy feels like she’s never taken seriously or noticed much at all, and Sebastian needs some good attention for once, not bad. An unlikely friendship/alliance forms between these two.

Watching these two go from basically strangers, to friends, to so much more was the best. Seb was really guarded and watching his walls crumble for Ziggy. Sigh. I also loved seeing the whole Bergman clan. They are one of my favorite fictional families!

Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for providing the ARC.

I have been a fan of the Bergmam brothers long before now, but I haven't had a chance to read Ziggy's story until I got access to this ARC. And it was just as good as Liese's other books in this series. Also, I am absolutely loving the updated covers!

Anyway, this book was a joy to read. I adore Ziggy and her patience and Seb's willingness to do the work that gets him back in everyone's good graces. I loved that the conflict was internal rather than external. If I had any complaints, it might be that the pacing was a bit off and at times felt a bit disjointed. Overall it was a great addition to an already beloved book series.

There are seven books in this series and this is number six. This is the first one I have read and can be read as a standalone. The plot revolves around two professional athletes, one is a soccer player and one is a hockey player. Seb is the bad boy of hockey and needs to have his image rehabilitated and Ziggy is the overlooked dependable sweet soccer playing girl who wants her image to look a bit more rough. She is tired of her family overlooking her and expecting her to be treated like a child since she is the baby of the family. Seb and Ziggy discreetly work together to change both of their images and of course secretly fall in love. I liked the main characters and Ziggy’s big family is fun. I am definitely going to go back and read some of the other books in this series

Chloe Liese is my favorite author and I am in love with this series! This was probably one of my favorite ones in the series. Can't wait to see what else comes from Liese in the future!

Short synopsis: Ziggy decides to befriend Sebastian in order to seem a little more edgy, and to shine up his image.

My thoughts: Every time I pick up a new Bergman book, I think to myself “this one is my favorite of the bunch.” This might just be fighting for the top spot with Aiden and Freya’s story (Ever After Always book #3).

I adored Ziggy so much, and her struggles to fit into life and her family. She’s quirky, and blunt, and I just loved her for it. Sebastian is a notorious “bad boy” but as you read the book we find out why he’s broken.

Ziggy and Seb started out as fake friends, but watching their relationship bloom and seeing how good they were for each other was so satisfying.

Read if you love:
- Fake friends to lovers
- Hockey and soccer romance
- Autism and health rep
- Brothers best friend
- Grumpy sunshine
- The best family and support

Thanks for the free book PRH International 😭
