Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Angel Leigh McCoy

When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.

Love this series it's about mysteries and murder with cats. Witches are in it and a magical world all about it.

This was a great sequel in the Catsitter Mystery series, it had everything that I was hoping for from the author. I enjoyed the mystery going on in this book and how all the plot worked with it. The characters were what I was expecting and enjoyed reading a lot.

Princess Fuzzypants here: There are times when a reader can plunge right into a long running series and not play a game of catch up to figure out what is what. And then there are books that will take you considerably longer to suss out the characters and how they fit into the scheme of things.

This is one that I wished I had read the first book before trying this one. It is not that I didn’t enjoy it. In fact, once I got my bearings, I enjoyed it very much. As Fantasy it has humans who are normal, supernatural humans and cats that are half feline and half human. It has various realities and it has one of its lead characters by the name of Kitty Kats.. She is not a cat. She does however take care of Muse who is one of those half and half’s but only a cat in our reality. You can see why it was a bit confusing but once I was able to get into the story, it entertained me. I am glad I stuck with it. I was close to giving up but I stayed the course.

But take my advice. Read book 1 first. I am sure the second book will flow better. Four purrs and two paws up.

Catsitter's Curse by Angel Leigh McCoy is a paranormal cozy mystery. It is the second in a series, but stands alone. It follows a mother, Kitty Kats, and her daughter, Diana.

The town of Wyrdwood is practically a character along with the secondary characters. The world-building provides context for the plot.

The book is easy to read and I liked it. It's got action, humor, and unusual creatures that inhabit the area. I am likely to read more of this author's books, and will discuss purchasing them for the local library.

I received a free copy of this book from Netgalley and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I enjoyed this one more than the first. I feel like the magic in it was explained better so it made more sense. I liked the movement in the relations of muse and kitty. This book was really interesting how it wove what started as two separate story lines together and brought the mother and daughter duo together. I am excited to read the next book. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC to read for my honest opinion.

A fun cozy mystery that’s only about 200 pages. Good to read if you want a cozy short interesting read. The writings good and flows nicely.
The cats point of view was a very fun spin on the story, and I loved the moms point of view. The only thing that takes this book down to 4 stars is how much I truly did not enjoy the daughters point of view. Compared to the interesting story and characterization of the mom and the cat, the daughter fell short, and I found myself struggling to get through her chapters.

Overall it was a good and fun read that dipped into supernatural elements.
