Well, it has been a while since I have read a Pepper Winters book, and what a hot and spicy way to go back to her stories.

I am not a huge fan of sex clubs/MFM/why choose stories, but Ella, Nick and Hudson will have you enthralled with what happens in the big top.

I did get frustrated with Nick a lot of the time. Just gah, dude!

I don't want to say too much, as I feel you just need to dive right in with One Dirty Night, but I will say don't read it in public hahah

Omg this book was absolutely unputdownable. Ella, Nick and Hunter were scorching hot. Definitely a one handed read. Truly an amazing read that I didn’t want to put down.

Oh, Pepper Winters. I hadn't realized how much I missed all of your dirty, filthy alpha males until One Dirty Night. Jethro and Elder have always been my #1 book boyfriends when it comes to dark romance but now I'm obsessed with Hunter and Nicholas.

This is one filthy night celebrating Emma’s birthday. Pepper Winters didn’t actually get down and dirty in every chapter. There was some actual storyline. It’s not just readable porn. Pepper eases readers into the circus act building the anticipation between the characters in what we call foreplay before the game.

There’s no disputing Pepper knows her way around some dirty filthy words. The fantasy she takes you on is extremely graphic. I for one will never look at a circus tent the same way again or cotton Candy for that matter. I’ve only just begun and the sex dreams have already started. The filthy spice meter is graphically high. As a reader who has read all of Pepper Winters books I thought she could’ve went dirtier. The shock factor was mild considering I was expecting higher. If you’ve read Pepper Winters before you’ll notice her signature footprints in her writing style.

Pepper Winters created another monster with urges that weaken under the gaze of a woman whose body is ripe for sin. I was kind of scared to start reading this book with all the warnings. After a few chapters I realized I had nothing to fear. This is quite tame compared to her other monsters. Nothing about this sex is vanilla not when the beast is unleashed onto the willing woman, but brace for impact because the ride is wild and crazy.

Wow.. this novella was HOT. It is a Dom/Sub novella with MFM scenes in the first half.
At first I was really uncertain about my feelings for Nick, and was actually rooting for Ella and Hunter, but Nick managed to win me over!

Ella is a scientist who comes upon a circus that provides a night of uninhibited pleasure to whoever strolls in. She decides to go and meets Hunter, the sexy and buff owner of the circus, who wants to devour her.
But they get interrupted when Nick, Ella’s grumpy scientist roommate, is also at the circus and gets jealous.
The three spent a crazy sex-filled night together .. which I have to say was H O T!!

This is the point where I thought the novella was going to end, but no we get another 100 pages of Nick & Ella figuring out their relationship, fighting and fucking.. which at first didn’t interest me because I was Team Hunter but after some dramatic confessions from Nick I was excited to see the two figure out what they want to be.

The novella is definitely worth a read not only because of the spicy scenes but also because the author put effort into fleshing out Nick & Ella’s relationship.
But please I need more Hunter and I need him to have a Happy End with some other spicy FMC!

This was my first foray into the world of smut, and it did NOT disappoint.
The spice and the love story were perfection. I’ll be sending snippets to my husband just to give him some ideas. You know, for science.

I can’t wait to read more by this author. Thanks NetGalley for this eARC in exchange for my review.

This is a hot, filthy, blazing inferno erotic stand-alone romance. If you like a book that skips right to the good 🌶️ stuff, this is for you! Even then, I’m sure you’ll still blush.

The FMC Ella happens to pass by a circus tent being put up in her town and can’t help but notice the sexy man swinging a sledgehammer in the rain. The flier promoting the newly erected circus notes that this is definitely not an event for kids. This circus is filled with bondage, fantasies, and 1 Dirty Night of heinously deviant fun. Grab your ticket to the Spectacle of Secrets and enjoy 1 Dirty Night you’ll never forget.

Wow! Pepper wasn’t kidding when she rated this F for filthy. I absolutely loved this couples story about their introduction to the BDSM lifestyle.
Nick took some time to open up and frustratingly tried to suppress his instincts, but in the end this duty bound MMC showed his kind heart and dedication to what he cares for most.
I loved how Ella knew exactly what she wanted from the beginning and wasn’t ashamed to listen to her inner “little witch”.
Then we get to Hunter…. 👁️👄👁️. Pepper, I beg you. We need more of this man’s storyline!
I had no idea I’d be crying during an erotic romance, but this beautiful story of love and self-discovery was one of my favorite reads this year!

One Dirty Night by Pepper Winters is uhh… exactly what the name implies.

Ella has tried to contain her desires for as long as they’ve existed in her. To the world, she’s innocent, a prude, and most certainly not a sexual deviant. Even to herself, she doesn’t allow her curiousity about what more there could be to sex so much as cross her mind as something she might be interested in exploring. Until one night. A circus of any and all forms of sexual debauchery comes to her part of town and she is unable to resist the draw of exploring this side of herself despite trying to fight her intrigue.

Enter Hunter and Nick. Hunter is intrigued by Ella from the moment he sees her and offers himself up for free if he can do whatever he wants with her. Hunter is the owner of the circus and very rarely entertains customers any longer, but for Ella he makes an exception. He sees her potentially as a submissive and can’t resist completely destroying her innocence and ruining her all other sexual encounters. I really liked Hunter instantly. He’s so accepting and free spirited that I immediately wanted him to stick around. His views on love and how it’s possible to give a piece of his heart to someone in only one night was so fresh and made him an instant favourite I wanted more of. He was absolutely perfect as far as being Ella’s first partner in exploring this side of herself and I now want a book just for Hunter.

Then there’s Nick. Brooding, restrained, distant Nick. He’s the quintessential fighting his feelings, keeping himself separated from any deep connection with anyone, stifled man. Nick and Ella are roommates and work together but have absolutely no relationship, friendship or otherwise because Nick is cold and unfriendly with her. But when they meet at the circus his real motivations come to light and the submissive in him comes out to play.

And though the circus is only in about half of the book, the spice does not stop there. In fact, the book actually gets even better beyond this point in my opinion because from there the plot really enters the game. There is angst, there’s tension and there’s heartbreak. It really allowed the characters to come alive with their personal struggles and the fight to overcome them and fight for not only themselves, but someone else too. I really loved watching the characters grow, as they came into themselves and figured out what they wanted and who they really were. All incited by a circus full of debauchery and sin. All that to say One Dirty Night was so much more than its spice. And as someone who needs a story where there’s spice, it really helped make the book for me.

Honestly I was obsessed from start to finish with One Dirty Night and it just kept getting better as it went. Now all I can do is beg Pepper Winters to write another book that takes place at this incredible circus and… please let it be a Hunter focused book. I need more Hunter.

The sexy hunk outside had me all in a bother but you add in the roommate who seems to have a dislike for her and the author has created some super hot, sexy, domination loving that I could not put down! So. Freaking. Hot people! Five ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 all the way! There is some angsty parts, because let's face it, people never just do what you want them to, and love is never easy, so don't read if you want it all tied in a pretty bow as soon as the loving is over! She will fight for her right to be loved and will do anything so sit back and enjoy the ride ladies! It's a scorcher!

Very heated indeed, you won't want anyone reading over your shoulder for this one. Creative and erotic journey of self-discovery and embracing individual needs and desires. I want a Hunter of my own!!!

Wowzer! I LOVED this story! It consumed me.
There is so much heart and feeling. It’s scorching hot!!! It’s wickedly delightful. But it’s not all flames and fire. This is a beautiful love story. It’s exploring yourself, your wants, your needs, your desires. It’s about trust and love and caring for someone so deeply I felt it in every interaction. Brilliantly written. Sinfully delicious. Fantastic!

Ringleader Hunter provides a traveling fantasyscape of kink and intimacy, amongst other things. And he has his sight set on Ella for tonight.

But he’s not the only one.

Nick, Ella’s roommate for 8 months that she’s been pining over but gets nothing but the cold shoulder back in return, shows up just as Ella and Hunter are adjourning for their special session. He begs, he pleads, let HIM be the one, let Nick take care of all her needs. As a last-ditch effort, in desperation, he says…

Here is where we enter MFM territory The first sex scene of the book is Ella, Hunter, and Nick being intimate together at the circus itself. However, both men’s sole focus is Ella’s pleasure (and pain), and they don’t sexually interact with each other. This is the only MFM scene in the book, the rest of the story after Ella and Nick leave the circus focuses on the development of their (MF) relationship.

For me as a reader, I would classify this as an erotica through and through, honestly, not even an erotic romance. The rawness of the sex scenes, the in-depth spicy tropes, the intimacy of it all, even wrapped in the kinkiest of bows… all of those things outshined any semblance of a romance story. If I’m being honest, I didn’t really find Nick’s character romantic at all. Sexy and dominant as sin, with searing emotion and dark words, which is perfect for an erotica, but not a romance (for me). That’s why I so appreciated that Pepper created this, and treated this, as an erotica from beginning to end. And damn can she write engaging erotica! Writing sucked me in, never got stale, was a fantastic mix of smut writing and the ability to capture and portray the raw emotion in every scene. I knew what all the characters felt, deeply.

I need to talk about Hunter Dixon for a hot second. Because I know that Nick was supposed to be the “main” MMC and that he and Ella were always endgame, and yes I’m glad, I wanted to see Ella and Nick end up together. But what I want most of all, what I need as desperately as I need air, is for Hunter to get his own book and his own HEA. AND RHODES TOO. And maybe they do have them, I have to go book hunting👀

Also, side note, it was sometimes slightly jarring, nothing completely off putting, how the MMC Nick’s name would switch between Nick and Nicholas over the course of the book, sometimes within the same paragraph or couple lines. At first I thought this was intentionally done by the author to kind of differentiae the two sides of Nick, one side (Nick or Nicholas) was the restrained man in denial, while the other (Nick or Nicholas) was his Dominant set free, but the more I read and the more context I got, I don’t believe that is the case. I would probably just stick with one for standard.

Overall, if you’re looking for a quick erotica with an emotionally raw punch that’s light on actual romance, TRY THIS!

I really like stories like this, a standalone, a woman who knows what she likes and a man obsessed with her. The circus escene was fire!! I liked that there wasn't unnecessary details, everything was on point, I loved the characters and I would love to know more about Hunter. Totally recommend this book.

A very fast paced standalone romance novel. That is very pretty much smut instead of plot. But I didn’t mind it. I’ve read it in a day and I enjoyed my time reading it.

I wasn’t sure what exactly to expect from this except that it was going to be dirty, and it definitely met that expectation. The premise was intriguing and the shorter length made it a quick and easy read.

For something marketed as ‘filthy’ I was surprised by the amount of actual plot going on. Often with a book like this it would be all smut and no plot, there’s actually a decent balance. Though the smut is SMUTTY! And yes I’m shouting that word.

I liked the book and the premise, the very open door spicy scenes were good, make sure to check your TWs and content warnings but overall it was a fun read. I don’t know that all the content was for me but I still found it enjoyable and easy to read.

This book was FILTHY in the best way. The Spectacle of Secrets circus tent rolls into town and brings alllll of the spice with it! I really enjoyed the character development and arc of the main character Nick, but I was so intrigued by Hunter! I know this was written in past and is just now being released but I hope we get to see much more of Hunter in the future!

The plot is simple but interesting; a traveling sex circus would be a great premise for a spicy book series (helping customers unleash their true sexuality). The characters (Ella and Nicholas) develop so much in this novella -- so much more than other similar books. Such a page turner!

On the night that Ella Fitzgerald turns 24, she almost has a car accident and discovers a a sex circus called the Spectacle of Secrets in town. Ella decides to visit the circus only to become the object of attraction of Nicholas Davis, her unpleasant roommate, and the ringleader of the circus, Hunter Dixon, for one dirty night. Will their fantasies have consequences on their hearts?

It is sure to keep the reader intrigued and promises to excite the senses with the content within the pages. Just the brief description of the novel is enough to captivate individuals to want to engage and read this book. That speaks volumes to the high quality of this novel and the exceptional talent of the author.
