In depth account of how the filibuster has been used through the life of the senate. Senator Merkley discusses the evolution of the filibuster through current times and the detrimental impact the current form of the filibuster is having on the Senate. The filibuster has become weaponized by the minority, thus preventing the Senate from being able to pass bills. I found the book informative but had a tendency to get bogged down in details.
