I enjoyed Minx. It had unique and interesting characters and well written spicy scenes. The illustrations also added a unique touch to the reading experience which I wasn't really expecting. I thought Blake was a really interesting character, but I found Ramses a little bit two dimensional.

My major criticism is, nothing happened. There was very little in regards to plot, there was not really an end goal, or overarching threat or villain, it was just, characters and vibes the whole way through. These characters and vibes were enjoyable, but I would have found a bit more comfort in my reading experience with something happening.

Overall, an enjoyable read (3.75 stars) thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for giving me the opportunity read this book in exchange for an honest review, these thoughts are all my own.

This one is for the neurodivergent women in the world.

But holy shit this book.
I felt seen. I felt recognized. I have read sentences that gave words to so many conflicted feelings that go round and round in my brain. The ‘why am I like this?’ Most of all.

I bawled my eyes out.

Also the spice is hot. Very hot.
I loved this. I've never read pet play before this one and it really struck a chord within me.

Thank you Sophie for writing this for the incredible neurodivergent representation.
I can't wait to read more books written by Sophie.

I love Sophie’s mafia books but this one just wasn’t for me. I was intrigued by the BDSM aspect but I just couldn’t connect with the characters. This was just an okay read for me but I won’t be buying a physical copy like I have with all of her other books. Again, this was an okay story but it wasn’t for me.

I have such a mixture of feelings about this book…

I hated it and liked it as well.

Ramses and Blake.
The moment he sees her he falls for her. She has that strong woman energy, smart, calculated that attracts Ramses because he is the same. Blake wanted him for so long and finally he fell in her trap (she fell too but doesn’t know about it at the beginning).

I liked their relationship through the book. They found each other, they are the same and so different. He takes care of her like no one ever did and she calms his always calculated brain. The care and love they have to each other is a dream.

However, I didn’t like that Blake was so smart and stuck to her rules, that she brakes them so soon. Gave me a weird impression of her. If she was that strong and smart as she was described in this book, she wouldn’t act with Ramses the way she did at the beginning.

Also I had a huge ick with that kitty role play. And then, in the end of the book, we have Ramses in a sub cat role play. Big big ick!!!
That is the main reason I gave this book a 3 star rating. Another reason for my rating was how invested in the story I was… which I wasn’t at all. Took me many days to finish it and I wasn’t interested in the story.

Thank you #NetGalley for an eARC of this book.

I can always count on Sophie Lark to have the best spice with an interesting plot! Ramses groveling?! Top tier 😍 not only was it funny but it was hot af

Sophie Lark doesn’t miss when it comes to billionaire/millionaire romances. The publishing of Minx through BloomBooks is wildly exciting, but readers should be more excited for Ramses and Blake. These two self made individuals embodying the NYC rags to riches story, confirm why we all hate on finance bros, but love us a financial man. Ramses and Blake are absolute artists at market manipulation. And their physical connection and emotional connection is 🥵. One of the spiciest books I’ve read.

Love the portraits throughout the book bringing the characters to life.

A must read if you love Pretty Woman, but with a twist if Vivian was already a high class escort who ran circles around Wall Street.

I’m so excited Sophie Lark is getting a re-release for this book.
It was oh so very steamy! Who wouldn’t want a billionaire demanding all your time? (And one who pays well).
I think Lark did well navigating and discussing the experiences of sex workers, no matter the pay scale they are working at.
Make sure to check trigger warnings though.

Thank you for the e-ARC!!

I was extremely excited to get a copy of Minx from NetGalley but unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite Sophie Lark book. The alter ego of Minx kind of left me wishing it was just entirely removed (yes I know, it's literally the title of the book) but I'm just saying!

This book gave a lot of "Pretty Woman" vibes which I really enjoyed and who doesn't love a man willing to hand over his $7BILLION dollars to prove himself?

All in all, the romance aspect was good, I just couldn't get past the pet stuff.

Now I know why this is titled as Minx😏😇

This is I think the first story I’ve read about an escort and her client. This book was so much fun to read. To read how unhinged and restless Ramses felt about Blake was so satisfying to me. And to learn that Blake is a self made herself just 💅💅💅💅yesss girl get that bag!! She is so smart!!

Another thing I love about Ramses is that he was so polite to her and understand her like wth you surprised me Ramses. And the groveling was not done long enough but also enough *hello* because he did transfer all of his wealth to her🤪

I don’t know if someday someone did that to me and my bank called me because my account can’t hold that much money and they decided to freeze my account and I had to get authorization from the police that the money is indeed legit to unfreeze the account but I couldn’t explain to them why I got that much money in just small time was because my boyfriend who is not my boyfriend fucked up😂 *my imagination you guyss😂😂😂*

Thank you Bloom Books and Netgalley.

Minx by Sophie Lark. When this was originally announced. I thought ooh. Criminal romance? Maybe Diamond theft. Nope. All wrong. It's pet play. Which not gonna lie was kinda fun to read about. Like we don't kink shame here. However, the story overall wasn't my personal favorite. The art was amazing per usual. I like this book however it's not one I'm gonna actively seek out.

Hands down Sophie Lark's books are always so good!!!
I absolutely love the way author pens down the characters in the book!! I found no other book as interesting as written by Sophie!!!
This one too was amazing!! Billionaire + Romance + Spice!! What do I need more!??
I was super excited to read this one and it didn't disappoint me at all. I literally finished this in one sitting, yeah I had to be awake for one whole night but it was so worth!!

This book took me by surprise in the best way possible. I didn't anticipate enjoying it as much as I did, but it turned out to be an absolute blast.

Sophie's ability to step out of the box with each book never ceases to amaze me, and this one has quickly become my personal favorite. Our main characters and their dynamic were so enjoyable to follow, absolute power couple.

However, I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of the unnecessary third act conflict. But despite that minor hiccup, I'm looking forward to diving into Sophie's backlist and discovering more hidden gems.

Minx was exactly what I needed. I know I can rely on Lark for a fast and completely addicting, steamy romance. Her books are filled to the brim with heat and tension and this billionaire romance was just right for me when I picked it up. It's a play on the Pretty Woman trope when a rich guy hires a high end escort. And then they fall in love. They grow and change and move into their relationship despite their personal struggles and watching this unfold is just the best.

This is high heat and drama. Be sure to always look for content warnings if you need them.

This is the first Sophie Lark booked I've read. It's a bit of a cat and mouse story - sex worker and billionaire. Both with a past and working to resolve/heal from their respective past. This is steamy, but also has bits of genuine care and relationship-building.
Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher for access to this e-ARC.

Minx by Sophie Lark is a perfect book for a spicy steamy reader. This is my 6th book from the author and she is my all time favorite author.

The storyline is addicting and well written. The plot plays with your feeling, up and down, then suddenly you feel like you're thrown over the edge. And the story are also tear jerker. I love the plot twist which happened at the epilogue.

I love story is about a sex worker's world and trader's job which brings a few enlightenment about their work. Also, a few scenes mentioned about our FMC childhoods which gives us a few knowledge about children speaking skills.

✅ Billionaire & escort
✅ high sexual tension
✅ Plenty of Spicy scenes: intense and explicit (submission, domination, collar, and more)
✅ Angst
✅ Tear jerker
✅ Dark past / trauma
✅ Trigger content

I'll definitely need to read the next book by Sophie Lark.

Thank you to Netgalley and publisher for the arc copy of Minx!

I absolutely love anything that Sophie Lark writes. Minx is no exception!

This is a dark romance that focuses on a billionaire and an adult entertainment worker. This follows Blake and Ramses story as they grow to learn each others kinks and lifestyles, while also exploring more ways to become self made billionaires. And their fear of getting too close emotionally.

As always, please check your trigger warnings before reading!

Minx
Sophie Lark
This book has it all, strong characters, sexy characters and it is so hot.
Rames is grumpy; he is used to getting his own way. He takes one look at Blake and knows he wants her. She has been aware of him for quite some time. The two form a relationship.
The banter is hot. It was fascinating watching them explore their kinky side. Both are strong characters that can give as well as they take.
Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book for review.

I just finished "Minx" by Sophie Lark, and wow, it really grabbed me. The story throws you straight into the lives of Ramses Howell, a billionaire who knows no bounds, and Blake Abbot, an escort with layers and secrets. Their dynamic is a fascinating dive into what happens when two people who are used to being in control have to navigate their desires and secrets together.

What I really liked about this book is how it plays with power. Ramses is all about winning and achievements, but Blake isn't your typical character who just gives in. She's smart, she's hiding things, and she knows the game well. Their relationship starts with Ramses creating a game specifically for Blake, which already tells you this isn't going to be your typical romance. The whole "game" angle adds a unique twist and keeps the pages turning.

Of course, it being a Sophie Lark book, you can expect it to be spicy. But it's not just about the heat; there's a lot of heart and growth here. Both Ramses and Blake are dealing with their pasts and the walls they've built around themselves. Watching them navigate their feelings and the complexity of their arrangement was something I really appreciated.

This book takes you out of your every day and drops you into a world of lavish parties, intense emotions, and yes, some pretty steamy scenes.
So, if you're into stories that mix a bit of kink with a lot of depth, Ramses and Blake's journey is definitely worth the read. It's spicy, it's emotional, and it's got that edge of something different that makes it stand out.

Thank you to Sourcebooks Bloom Books and NetGalley for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.

At this point I will read a phone book if it was written by Sophie Lark. I loved her Brutal Birthright series, so I was hesitant to read another book by her thinking it wouldn’t quite live up to it. Minx was everything, and it completely blew me away! The spice and smut of this book, was downright filthy, and SOOOOOO good!!!

But the story was also so emotional, full of healing from past trauma, overcoming obstacles, and trusting yourself enough to let your guards down and let people in. If you are unsure if you want to read this book, I’m here to tell you, that you absolutely must because it was just CHEFS KISS perfect!!!!

Blake is the best at her game, the highest paid escort in the city, with a waitlist miles long. When Ramses meets her at a horse race he decides that he wants to get on her roster. It takes him a while to convince Blake to take him on as a client, but she reluctantly does. Ramses decides he’s going to play a little game with Blake called Minx. Only he doesn’t expect her to be as obsessed with the game as he is. Sooner or later these two are spending all their time together, and real feelings start to evolve. But Blake didn’t get to be who she is without guarding her heart. And Ramses has never let anyone in, it’s the only way he can make sure he faces his full attention on his work with the stock market, and continue to make his billions. But sooner or later, something has to give and they’ll have to make a choice about if they can continue this game they’re playing.

Full of insanely hot sex and games, lavish parties, back room stock meetings, and the undeniable chemistry and pull between Ramses and Blake, this book delivers it all.

“Blake was right about me: I crave control.
The more she fights, the more she resists, the more I want it.
A woman's body isn't half the mystery of her mind. I see the emotions flickering like firelight behind Blake's eyes- spite, amusement, desire—and I know the fantasies locked inside her brain can only be darker.”

“Good girl, I like when you purr for me”

A quite mysterious billionaire romance with an escort who’s so much more than just an escort. This book was a triumph of spice and love and passion. Lust ruled free with so many role plays and a dom-sub dynamic which will be quite complicated and full of emotions. Let’s just say that Minx is more than just a nickname. Blake and Ramses (yes, Ramses like the pharaoh) have a history of having control. One of them has to relinquish it. And when that happens… guys you’re in for a wild ride for this one !!! Each chapter was made of tension and frustration and obsession and possessiveness and learning how to let go. And it catches you in a way you’re not expecting!!! In my first book from this author I have to admit that I’m hooked and I feel like I need to read more!!! This was emotional driven in ways I was not expecting and it was concrete in way I didn’t think it could have gotten. And then it was entertaining and it was fun and it was spicy as heck!!! And Ramses is a hot handsome billionaire in charge of everything so … I’m sucker !!! I’m so glad I got to read it !!!

“She's my Bastet, goddess of protection, pleasure, and bringer of good health.
I've never felt better, my skin glowing, my chest out like a champion.
Those other men think she's lucky?
I know the truth.
Blake is powerful.”

“Submission is a gift. The more powerful the person, the greater the gift.”

“So you'll have more pleasure, more pain, and you'll share it all with someone else.
Is that a good deal?
No.
It's the best deal you'll ever make.”
